“If you want to try authentic afghan food then this is the place! We had the best dinner here. We tried Bolani Potatoes, Bolani Kadu/Pumpkin and Borani Badenjon. All three items were delicious and very tasty. Their seating arrangements in patio is like middle eastern style facing water fountain. Bolani were crispy and sauces on Borani had great chef touch. “It's always busy in a good way. Fans provide a natural white noise barrier for each table. You will smell like smoke when you leave. Sides are well done. Cheese corn comes in larger foil containers now. Once it's empty it works wonderfully as a lid to cook the meat. Burners get hot quick so best to cook on low. Be prepared to play with the flame.“
“God bless you Back 40.My wife and I have two kids under 4 years of age and going out to eat is always a challenge. We’re always on the lookout for places we can enjoy where our kids can blend in and not ruin other people’s dinners. My threshold for a good night out is very low… somehow after debating for an hour where we could go that was also a little nicer for us we ended up at the Back 40.From the moment we walked in the service was out of this world. I don’t know why the host, the owner, and the wait staff were so attentive. It was honestly jarring when coming from places in Oakland.The host seating us made sure to have coloring pages and crayons on the table before we sat down. A small gesture that went a long way in my book.Our waiter made sure to have kid sized cups with tight lids immediately. Which helped us be better guests because our kids weren’t freaking out. Once again a small thing that most places don’t think about. They also had a section of booths with several other kids so we weren’t ruining anyone else’s night who didn’t want to be around rug rats. Love it. They also had a great kids menu. Love it. One of our kids had allergies and this place was great to give recommendations and know what was safe. Love it.Besides the kids they were very attentive with our needs and almost spooky fast with everything we requested.The food as always was so good. I got the Texan Trinity which was way too much food but I loved every bit of it and had plenty to bring home. “Been coming to barney's for about 45 years off and on move away so only make it about twice a year . Food was good but use to be better . Not sure who owns it now ? The guy and gal preparing the food use there bare hands . He cuts the meat like a little kid like 30 little thin pieces of pork . Just cut a some 1/4 slices dude & be done was just weird to see . The bbq sirloin of beef is great very tender and good portion . I will come back but each time it gets closer to the last time . I feel the end is near . All good things come to a end“

“The seafood combo plate with short rib is the best Hawaiian BBQ I've ever had! My second time here and they are beyond my expectations. I am always kindly greeted and served my food in a timely matter. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Such generous portions, seasoned perfectly, cooked well, and high quality food. This was my first time trying the spam and egg musubi and I appreciate it so much that they offer this. I've been to other Hawaiian BBQ spots who don't serve spam and egg musubi despite having the ingredients for it! Good move on L&L Barbecue for making the best of their menu. “I worked with Willy to cater our holiday lunch in December. I cannot believe the food and service we received. Willy went about and beyond with delivery and product. The chicken and pulled pork exceeded our expectations. And the staff at my office is still talking about the quality of the food.Don't forget about his homemade sauces. One of the people that had it said it was the best "Sweet Heat" sauce he's ever had. That is saying something since he has sampled BBQ sauces all over the country.I would highly recommend Chilly Willy's to anyone.“
“Excellent BBQ. Do not go here if you are a Vegan. Plenty of food for the money. I got the Signature Sampler (4 meats, potato salad, cole slaw). Couldn't finish it all, had to take half home. Excellent draft beer selection. Sat outside by the fire ?. I've been to other BBQ joints, but this one had the Atmosphere, the meats, great portions, and plenty of beer. A great dining experience. “Hawaiian place that plays Mexican music and staff is all hispanics. I cant complain, one of the better hispanic/ hawaiian places nearby. Cultures are close enough to have the flavor down. Food came out decent. Nothing special inside ambiance wise. They charge an extra 4 percent on top of the price if you don't pay with cash. Place looks like an old boba place in the past. “I have ordered the family meal several times via DoorDash and the food is consistently good. The bbq beef is thinly sliced and tender/flavorful, the fried Island white fish is perfectly fried -- very crispy exterior with moist interior, the galbi ribs are slightly sweet and tasty, the chicken katsu crispy and flavorful (they use chicken thigh meat so it is very moist, not dry). The family meal comes with rice and macaroni salad -- enough food for six. Great value meal! Even with delivery, the fried food is crispy and still warm.“
