“STEPH JUDGEMENT: Charming atmosphere and good food, but slightly uneven service. We were staying at the hotel and decided to try it for breakfast. It had an adorable retro 1930s vibe going on, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered a coffee and their smoked salmon and latke (same as hash browns), and was pleasantly surprised by an unexpected poached egg. The hubby ordered two scrambled eggs and "cool ranch" hash browns (basically cool ranch dust). Everything was delicious, but after the server dropped off our food she was nowhere to be seen for a while, and it took some time to settle our bill. Luckily we weren't in a hurry, and I believe they had just opened, so I'm sure the service will improve as they get their bearings. I'd definitely like to try them again when next in the area.“
“Customer service was stellar! Since it was my first time, he helped me choose items and answered any questions I had. I ended up getting the beef lunch plate. Food was amazing. Very comforting and exactly what I needed after not eating the entire day.“
“I ordered the No. 3 with eggs, pancakes, bacon and potatoes. Everything tasted fresh and good and even the coffee is good! Don’t expect to not be a little greasy, but this place is a winner! Very big lines outside waiting but because I was on my own I got a seat at the counter. Highly recommend.“
“I love eating at Auntie's and I can't stop raving about their breakfast burritos! Without a doubt, Auntie's serves up the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. My go-to order is the bacon and Portuguese sausage combo, minus the tater tots, and it never disappoints. Also I love the traditional Hawaiian music that plays as I'm enjoying my food. It always creates a calm and comfortable environment.I've explored breakfast burrito options all over the South Bay and Los Angeles, and nothing even comes close to Auntie's. The flavor profile is absolutely outstanding. The bacon is thick and delightfully crunchy, elevating every bite to a whole new level of deliciousness. What makes Auntie's even more remarkable is their support for law enforcement. They go the extra mile by hosting "coffee with a cop" events periodically, fostering better communication between the public and the Gardena police department. It's heartwarming to see the mayor of Gardena, Chief, and Captain attend these events, demonstrating Auntie's commitment to the community.Auntie's isn't just a restaurant; it's a place where you can savor incredible breakfast burritos and feel good about supporting a business that actively engages with its local law enforcement and community. If you're in the area, Auntie's is a must-visit spot for a truly unforgettable breakfast experience.“
“I had been hearing a lot of good things about the food here so I finally made my way into Silverlake to check it out. As you are probably already aware, this is a take out or delivery restaurant. You cannot dine in here. You actually can't even enter the building. The front door is a two piece door and when they are open for business, the top part of the door will be open. You order from there and then wait on the sidewalk for your order to be ready. You can also call in an order in advance or use various delivery services. There was not anyone waiting to order when I got there so I was able to walk directly up to the door and immediately order. I had to wait approximately 10 minutes for my order to be prepared and in those 10 minutes they got very busy. Six people came up to pickup phone or delivery orders during that time and those pickups went very quickly. A line began to form to order during that time and when I left with my order there were 5 other people who had placed others and were now waiting for their orders to be prepared and an additional 7 other people waiting in line to place orders. They prepare their food quickly but keep in mind, they need to cook the food after you place your order. If there is already a line to place your order and people waiting for their food to finish cooking, all of that will add to the amount of time it will take before your order has been prepared. If you are in a hurry and need your order quickly, perhaps you should consider another restaurant such as a fast food restaurant. They do prepare the food as quickly as they can but keep in mind, you will wait approximately 5 to 10 minutes at a minimum and the more people you see standing around out front will add to that wait time. Is it worth the wait? Oh yes, it is worth it. I had the popcorn chicken, Summer Rolls and the Caramelized Pork. The Popcorn chicken and its dipping sauce was a real treat for the taste buds. The chicken is double fried but is not dry on the inside and the dipping sauce has the perfect bite of spices to it. The summer rolls are huge. Your choice of protein or vegetables only. They really could be a meal within themselves and the vegetables were very fresh with lots of vegetable crunch in every bite. The Caramelized Pork came with sticky rice and cooked with hard boiled eggs. It was as good as it sounds (which is very good). The portion sizes were very good with my order easily being enough for two people with some leftovers. Truly, the summer rolls are so large that you cannot help but have leftovers. Parking can be very tricky here. There are yellow painted loading zones in front of the restaurant and the mom & pop grocery store next door so if you are just picking up an order that had already been placed, you shouldn't have a problem. You may find yourself desperately looking for a place to park though. Keep that in mind but don't let that scare you off. You will be thankful for the effort you put in when you are finally home and enjoying the fruits of your troubles. BTW, I hear that their Bahn Mi sandwiches are so good. I look forward to trying that next time.“
“This is a small casual spot but with very good and flavorful Filipino food. The service was straightforward and the menu is varied. Not the best spot for vegetarians, as this cuisine is pretty meat heavy, though there is a very nice tofu adobo. From the lumpia to the lechón, it was all fire. I’d absolutely come back to try other menu items.Vegetarian options: Really only a small handful of vegetarian options, mainly tofu based. Even the best rice dish has chicken fat oil.“
“Fixins is always a great time! From the moment you enter to when you leave, you're being warmly greeted by security and staff. The food and drinks are delicious, the DJ is always on point with the music and the atmosphere as a whole is always nice.“
“Came here to pick up our takeout and was impressed by the customer service and incredible quality of the food. I only wanted kebabs so pay about $15 for the chicken which I took home and enjoyed about an hour later. It was so good, especially with the garlic sauce. I can’t wait to go back.“
“Highly recommended. The Denae's Slam is so good. The doctored up hash browns were great. The only negative was that the sausage was a little overcooked. The$5.00 Bloody Mary's were VERY tasty! Our server, Carla, was very pleasant and thorough. Thanks, Carla.“
“This little spot is a straight up delight. Definitely designed to cater to treating yourself, Postres Cafe is an adorable little spot located in downtown Bellflower. While the food comes with a slightly hefty price tag, the quality is worth it. Came in on a Thursday morning, there was one person behind the counter who functioned as a cashier, barista, and server. They did an excellent job and were very sweet. I ordered a Cinnamon Crunch Latte and a breakfast bagel, not entirely sure what to expect. Cinnamon Crunch Latte: Really smooth espresso, with enough milk to mellow the flavor without losing it. It was sweet without being overwhelming, and had lots of rich cinnamon notes. It was tasty and I can share I have the best caffeine buzz right now. Breakfast Bagel: Don't come expecting a bagel with cream cheese, this isn't your typical bagel. Loaded with egg, bacon, and turkey, this is a protein bomb. There is mayonnaise and shredded cheese, which was interesting and I'm not sure how I felt about it at first, but I did wonder up devouring the whole thing. Somehow it worked. Next time, I'mma splurge on the chilaquiles. Definitely recommend this spot, both for solo dining or for an early coffee date with friends. Plenty of seating and an ambiance as sweet as their postres. Go check them out.“
“Great Pan Roast. The dining room has 40 seats, a bar, or sit at the chefs counter to watch the steam kettle chefs cook your food without having to go to a Palace train station in Vegas. Plus, we didn't have a wait on Sunday at 3pm.Parking: Plenty of parking, plus there's an underground lot.“
“got the half green tea and half nutella cookie in the bolo bao! the crispy and warm bun paired so well with the not-too-sweet ice cream, and toppings were free! definitely coming back again as it was very affordable too, only $6.25. the service was amazing too and the guy was very patient with my “
“Obsessed! Love the drinks, food, games, and artwork. Bartenders definitely know what they're doing behind the bar. Every drink was freshly made to order and absolutely delicious. Wish I could remember the name of the drinks haha. We also ordered the sweet potato tater tots - perfect appetizer/side to have while getting lost in their games. Such a cute spot for a double date night. Staff were welcoming and attentive throughout our entire visit. They got busy for a Friday night but that never slowed or affected their service. Can't wait to try more of their food menu next time.“
“The roti wraps here are unique to me, primarily because I personally haven't seen or experienced lots of Caribbean food here in LA. I ordered the:- Red Pepper Goat Roti w/ Peanut Sauce- Green Curry Shrimp and Potato PattyI really enjoyed these. The roti had a delicate outside that was able to hold the flavorful meat bursting with spices along side the other ingredients filling this delicious wrap. The shrimp/ potato patty had so much flavor as well. At first I thought this was pricey, but seriously I was so full and you do get a lot of good food. Well worth the price. Because you do order online from your phone and pick up along a not busy (at the time) street from the side of the building, there's really not much in terms of service or ambiance. I will note, however, the person who handed me my food when it was ready it was super friendly. And sometimes, honestly, I prefer little interaction when I just want to order food and take it with me. The next time I come back, I would definitely like to try the Mama's curry chicken. Or possibly one of their vegetarian options. Some of the other sides also look very tasty which I think warrants a return visit soon. I just didn't have enough room to try everything on my first visit.“
“We showed up with a party of 10 without reservations and we seated in a manner of minutes. The front desk was polite as could be. Our server was patient as we keep changing our minds as we all ordered. Drinks were kept full without having to ask for a refill. Food quality and quantity was fantastic. Lazy Dog continues to be consistent whether in Downey, Torrance or downtown at LA Live.“
“The food was ok tasting (we ordered the seafood pancake, soft tofu soup, bulgogi and mackerel) and the wait staff courteous. The banchan options were delicious. The place is a no frills mom and pop restaurant located in a shopping strip center.“
“We liked the food, my wife even fights me to add the fifth star because she says her chicken was really excellent. A negative point is that the soda machines were broken, they did not have ice and the sodas were watered down. Very good service, the employees were excellent in kindness.“
“Food seems tasty. Had 1/4 pound brisket. It's juicy and flavorful. The fat cap well seasoned and flavored. The elote is pretty good; creamy and a slight hint of heat. Complimented with garlic toast. This is a taste test; we're looking into possible catering with them for thanksgiving lunch.“
“Dropped in on a rainy day, was greeted immediately and was sat in a nice booth. We ordered a salad and the special of the day, "A Spicy Meat-a Ball-a". Great ingredient combo and had a nice thin crust...very edible ?. The house salad was fresh and with their unique dressing, it was surprisingly delicious. Will definitely be a repeat customer!“
“This place is great for studying and socializing. Sitting here with a warm comforting feeling able to know their drinks are good and food is delicious. I am able to pay attention with very little distractions. Wonderful decorations and customer service.“
“Amazing wagyu burgers. Me and my gf got the double and bbq pork burgers and it was so good. A lil bit pricey but not overpriced. A double cheeseburger combo came out to be 15$ but considering it's wagyu not too bad would be 4/5 cause of the prices but the burgers were really good.“
“Fantastic restaurant! They are known, as the name in Korean suggests, for their cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew). Absolutely delicious. The staff working here take care of every detail in the service as well as the food. Price is also good. This is definitely one of the gems of ktown - homey, authentic, and delicious. Ample parking, but the restaurant itself is on the smaller side. There can be a small wait if coming at a popular time.“
“I've dined at this place for 10 years since it was across the street from The Grove. Even with the change of venue the food here hasn't lost its touch.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy accessibility with entrances, and spaces secure enough to fit mobile or manual chairs, as well as maneuverability.“
“Well I went to “Sun Nong Dan” first, but experienced some terrible behavior from the server seating us. So I left and took a leap of faith and went to the restaurant next door. I was so happy with this decision! The service was amazing. Everyone was kind and attentive. The spicy beef soup was on point too. I will absolutely be coming back!“
“By far one of the most authentic Taiwanese restaurants I've been to. I say this because they've nailed down classic dishes you'd find in Taiwan. The oyster pancake was spot on along with the sauce. Service is pretty fast. Definitely come here for delicious Taiwanese comfort food!“
“These burgers are very good. The food is made to order. From burgers, fries to chicken wings. This place is good. I've had a few different burgers and they don't disappoint. The chili cheese fries are good. They don't have an indoor seating area which is needed. The outdoor seating area is small.“
“My husband and i had dinner at Modern Sherman and we loved it, we ordered the menudo, artichoke tacos and the shrimp tacos. Everything was delicious, we will definitely comeback again to try more dishes and deserts , we highly recommend it.“
“This is one of my go-to spots anytime I'm at the Cerritos Mall and want to get a quick bite to eat. My favorite thing to order is the brussel sprouts and crispy ribs. Can't really find ribs from a chain restaurant anywhere else this good.“
“Truly a local gem. Its one of those places that where you feel like you are home and you get a warm and fuzzy hug from your loving grandma and being served an amazing, silky, smooth substantial, flavorful broth. The banchan is also part of the experience, where your palate is primed for that comfortable wonderful feeling from the soup.“
“We hired Asher's BBQ for a school event and they were amazing! The food was delicious, the prices were affordable, and the service was great. I especially like that they do an online ordering service to eliminate time waiting in line. All the families had nothing but great things to say. Would definitely ask them back again.“
“What a great find this was. Everything we had was just wonderful. Cioppino, corn bread, the wedge salad were the perks. We weren't big fans of the fried chicken or the potato chips. They were a little bland tasting. Our server was Anthony and he was amazing. Always attentive and friendly. This place is definitely worth a try.“
“A very atmospheric bar. On a weekend, almost all the tables were occupied, but there was no noise inside. The food is very tasty, the meat in the burger has the smell of the grill ❤️ it's fantastic. The service was good too. The interior is beautiful.I really liked the place!Parking inside the shopping center for $10 - 2 hours“
“Food was delicious, i wish i took a photo but i got yukgaejang with extra meet. And let me tell you they did not disappoint or skimp out one bit. It was kinda hard to find though and it's in la but besides that, there are no negativesVegetarian options: If you like mushrooms then they have vegetarian options for you.Parking: Street parking sucks but they do have a parking area that was pretty empty i just didn't know they had one and parked in the street“
“The owner was amazing , great atmosphere love the music he was playing , The cook looks happy made the food very good there fries are delicious ? every bite the sandwich is Soo exquisite ?? I highly recommend this place and this has been approved by me Deysi Henriquez ..“
“Enjoyed some great service from Dan... He gave us some great pointers on what beers to order and introduced us to the beer club which we absolutely love!!! We've been coming here for 4+ years how did we not know about this Gem of a club .. thank you once again Dan !!!“
“We came here on a Saturday night and the place was empty. We ordered the beef brisket and intestines hotpot and 2 rice. It was amazing! The broth was super tasty. We also tried ordering a cold noodle on the side but our server told us that the hotpot is big. And good thing we didn't order more cause the hotpot was more than enough for 2 ppl.Our server didn't speak much english but she was very nice. We got by with gesturing and smiling lol. We will come back again the next time we're craving intestines.“
“I saw a Groupon for Lobos Truck the other day and I had to buy it. It was $13 for 2 entrees and 2 drinks! What a steal! They stop by in front of my work building every now and then so it was pretty convenient for me to check them out.The Chinook: 1/3 lb. American-Kobe beef burger with garlic aioli, cheddar, lettuce, and tomato on a fresh Brioche bun. The burger was nothing special - just average. It was cooked medium rare as requested and it was well seasoned.OG Wachos: With everything. What are Wachos you ask? Waffle Fries + Nacho Toppings = Wachos. Came with Avocado, Cheese, Onions, and much more. It was amazing. The waffle fries were crisp and flavorful and it went well with all the toppings. I wish there was some heat to it though!“
“Consistently delivering excellent meals, our fam has been eating here since last year. You gotta wait a little bit for the food, no big deal. They keep the place clean. The food is always on point, pay them in cash ? to make them happy.Dietary restrictions: They accommodate special requests“
“First time I've really enjoyed food at the Staples center. The chicken pieces were ample and very juicy, spices were on the mark and the chips were awesome!! I wish there was an outlet away from the stadium. Looking forward to going back for a game and enjoying this delicious food!!“
“I always roam around and try to find good quality food and service. And thank God I found another Gem. When I walked in I didn't expect too much since they just opened (8am), but to my surprise, staff was super friendly, smiling, and helpful. The atmosphere made me feel like at my grandma's back in Germany.I started my morning with a latte and I have to say it was the best one I had in a long time. Armando definitely made the best mocca/latte which can compete in taste with cafes in Europe....just impressive!Sol was my waitress and very attentive. Not once was she missing when I needed something and she always had a great smile and a really good attitude.I ordered chicken and waffle and it was divine. Potatoes, waffles, chicken...I mean...did my grandma wake up from the dead andstartd working here in this kitchen? No way...how can it be this good.I'm a very, very spoiled fine dining kind of eater and have to say this Cafe rates amongst the top 5 cafes I have been to, all over the world. YES, IT'S THAT GOOD.It just so happened that the owner Aya was in. I thought she was the dishwasher because she was in the kitchen washing dishes. Very lovely and humble lady. Which owner washes dishes in a busy Cafe like this?!?!Very impressive, she really cares about detail and I believe she is a perfectionist when it comes to her Cafe.I'm so glad I got to meet her and question her about her food and she definitely offers the best quality food around. Bathrooms, kitchen and all was also very clean.Don't take my word. Come check it out. You will not regret it!.“
“First off we drove over 50 miles to eat here today. Didn't disappoint. The service was amazing. Food was served nice and hot. I totally recommend the gumbo. By far the best I've ever had. Shrimp PoBoy leaves you wanting to drive back and get more. Also the sweet chili wings. Definitely will be making the trip back soon. Thank you for such wonderful experience.“
“The Chicken Pot Pie is definitely the reason to get through the door. Then their homemade bread melts in your mouth wonderfully. An over all pleasant mom and pop American cuisine experience. Our unexpected 25 top party an hour before closing did put a strain on the waiters, chef and cooks.$550 tab was not a big jump in the bank for all of us.Nick“
“Nice little hole in the wall with affordable food! I discovered this place back in undergrad when they had (and still do) have very affordable lunch specials. Will definitely be back.At the time of our visit, I believe there was only 1 server, but later on (when we were leaving), we saw another staff member walk in.“
“Really interesting concept store version of boiling point. The menu is slightly different and a bit more expensive, but the food quality is supposed to be higher. The staff seems really overworked here and the service was slower than expected. We tried this seasonal mutton dish and it was just okay. Definitely come by again to try something new and to get drinks from Jin next door.“
“Ordered pupusas revueltas and atol de elote. They were delicious! The pupusas were a good size, cheesy, and flavorful. The atol de elote actually tasted like elote with hints of cinnamon. Very good. Parking is limited. Dinning area looked clean. I ordered take out. The lady in the counter was friendly. I will order from this restaurant again.“
“Very easy to order online! Pick up and communication was smooth as well! Ordered the tonkotsu, curry nikutama, shrimp tempura, potato croquettes, and big chicken katsu. I recommend the shrimp tempura and potato croquettes! Tonkotsu and curry udon is up to your preference of what you like ☺️“
“Just had a fantastic meal! We were in DTLA and wanted to eat somewhere close and clean! We saw reviews and thought why not?? Everything was delicious. Great service and atmosphere. We got Lumberjack Breakfast, Shrimp & Grits. Don’t let location stop you from trying Poppy & “
“I don't know why this place has such bad reviews! Boiling point at every location I've been to (Arcadia, San Gabriel, Rowland Heights and Irvine) have all tastes the same. I usually get their beef or lamb with noodles. Their portions are mostly veggies so this place isn't the best for meat lovers but I still think it's good! The flavor is unique and different from traditional hot pot. Their garlic soy sauce is addicting! If your soup evaporates or you finish a lot of it, they'll give you more soup for free! At the end of the meal they give you this lemon jelly that is refreshing! Come during lunch and they'll give you free black or green tea :)“
“We've eaten at Smoke & Fire quite a few times, the servers are always attentive and the beer selection good. They've paired down the beer offerings to one brewery now but the one I had was very tasty. Unfortunately, the food has been better in the past. The smashed burger was charred to a crisp and way too much pepper used. It was more like pepper beef jerky than a smash burger. The brisket was great though as was the mac & cheese. My wife had the street corn side and said the corn itself tasted like canned corn, the server swore it's not so the cook must have overcooked it. Overall, food was a 7/10; drinks, service and atmosphere was a 9.5/10.“
“I stayed in the hotel, and Mr. Banks Diner was the most convenient place to eat, so I had breakfast and dinner for 3 days. The food was constantly great! The only thing that made me not give 5 stars was the service. Every time I went for breakfast, the service was amazing! She brought my food out promptly, and my drink was never empty. Dinner service was another story. It was a different server, and she just didn't want to be there. One time, she didn't even bother to give me silverware. Luckily, I got the philly cheesesteak and tater tots and didn't need it, but I definitely needed some napkins! I saw a pile of napkins, so I got up to get some, and I saw my waitress just sitting at a table. By the way, there was only one other table there, so it's not like she was in the weeds. I even had to get up and find her to pay.“
