This is my first sake-ery in the US. Had been to a couple in Japan. We tried their beer and their sake. It's hard to find fresh sake in the US. If you have not tried fresh sake, you have to try it because they taste sooooooo much better than any sake you have tried in a restaurant or from the supermarket. The sake are so smooth and very refreshing. Each of them had unique and distinct flavor profiles. Their beers are great too.They brew their beer in Japanese style so it is very unique and different from other breweries. Absolutely coming back for more sake and beer!!!“

“I am away from home and haven’t had injera for a couple weeks so I decided to give this place a try.

Upon walking in, I was greeted by the server and seated promptly. The restaurant was clean and had a nice ambiance with traditional Ethiopian items displayed and Ethiopian music videos playing on a tv. The restaurant was easy to find and located right off a Main Street with plenty of parking.

I ordered the awaze tibse with a side salad. Craving satisfied! The food was delicious and fresh. The portions were perfect.

I’ll be back when I’m in the area to try out a few more of their options.“

It was an excellent choice. The food is just sooooo good! Delicious made from scratch & the portions are generous. The pricing is also what I consider good. Every single dish we order was amazing but I’m in absolute love with the Tallarin Verde de Pollo & the Lucuma Ice Cream. But again everything was amazing. Thank you Sabor a Perú.“

“It's located next to Mi Pulgarcito Pupiseria Salvadoreña and near GS Ethiopian Cafe. I had went to this plaza for another restaurant but they closed already for lunch. I decided to try this grilled chicken place, reminds me of Juan Pollo or El Pollo Loco. It seems family owned with a young teen taking my order.

I chose to try the 16 piece family special with half spicy and regular chicken ($44.99) which came with 4 large sides, tortillas and salsa. I chose their macaroni salad, potato salad, rice, and beans. I got a lunch special for myself that came with a can of soda. The seasoning on the chicken was good, the spicy chicken had a good heat. The skin was crispy and the chicken was moist. My family did not like the sides of macaroni and potato salad.

The staff was nice and the wait time was not long.“

“I have been going there for 50 + years. Me and the Wife for 30 years! We live in Las Vegas, Nv. I have been to every 5 star in Las Vegas for 45 years and Clearman's is still the best ever! The food, service and the service has not changed in all that time! I remember the Owner, was going to build a Clearman's in Green Valley, Henderson. When he passed away I asked his Son when is the New Clearman's was opening, he stated never, his Dad was wrong in thinking about opening it. I told him I live in Vegas, the Wife and I come just for the food then back to Vegas. I told him we tell all our Friends , Family and our work mates, ( Law Enforcement) , take photos of our food and the restaurant! Today my Son's Friend from Co. “I'm a huge breakfast fan, and THIS place is my always go-to spot in Covina. The staff is always friendly, the coffee is quite good and refreshed often, food portions are on the larger side, the taste is excellent, and the somewhat dated decor just fits the whole experience. If you like old school diners... this place is for you.“

“This place is consistent. Great food great service with friendly staff. Came in for breakfast. Ordered the chorizo a la Mexicana and the ham and cheese omelette. They gave chips and salsa. Chips were fresh and crunchy and the salsa had a little spice to it. Portions are generous so be sure to bring an appetite.“

“This place is like Subway, but with pizza instead of sandwiches (and much fresher ingredients). They have a menu of pizzas, but you can customize all of your toppings as you watch a staff member put it together for you every step of the way - from saucing to firing it up in the pizza oven so it comes out fast and hot. The crust is consistently perfect (thin and crispy), there are a ton of fresh, quality ingredient options, and the flavors are amazing. This is a place I have frequented for years and I can honestly say that I have never had a pizza I didn't like. I've tried a handful of them, but my go-to is the green pie (pesto basil sauce, mozzarella, feta, zucchini, eggplant, artichoke hearts & fresh tomatoes). My husband does not like vegetables too much, but even he has learned to let them make it as-is, without customizing it, because it is SO GOOD! The chicken wings are juicy, meaty, and delicious. The salads and Mediterranean plates are great as well (chicken/beef kabob, falafel or chicken shawarma served with rice, salad, hummus, pita bread, and garlic sauce). There is even a dessert counter where you can usually find an assortment of treats like macarons, Dubai chocolate bars, and Baklava. They also serve beer (bottled and on tap).

Aside from the great food, the place has a great ambience with a large & spacious indoor dining area as well as a large shaded patio area in the front (facing bustling Citrus Ave), big screen TVs, and even a little game machine for the kids. They do a great job of keeping it all nice and clean. A small touch I really appreciate is that they conveniently keep extra plates, silverware, condiments, and to-go boxes out in the front so you can use as much as you need without having to ask for them.

On top of all that, it's in a prime location in downtown Covina so there is plenty to do if you have some time to walk around. Great for families and casual date nights.
