“Amazing food. Plate licking sauces, organic,locally sourced food. Korean fusion. Did I mention organic pickled everything. Enzyme rich food. Beyond healthy. Humble little hope in the wall run by a husband and wife team. Dude went to Korea to study with the most famous vegan nun chef in Korea. A must go to for anyone who loves food and especially loves fusion with organic and very well priced. He should charge Much more but they don’t.“

“Loved the burger! Was not disappointed. Wanted to try the mussels, they didn't have them. The creme brulee was alright. They serve Mexican coke, my friend was very happy about that. The interior was incredible. Beautiful ceiling stained glass. It's a cool spot.
Didn't get a chance to try any house cocktails. Beer taps weren't working.
I will return. The atmosphere and burger are worth it.“

“The spot had a cool speakeasy vibe with modern touches—surprisingly cozy for the neighborhood. The host was super friendly and gave great recommendations. Food was flavorful: mentaiko pasta, crispy rice, and tasty cocktails. Portions were generous for the price. Not too busy when we went, so we didn’t wait. Parking was easy nearby. Maybe tweak the seasoning on the pork ribs next time—they were a bit dry.“

“I stopped by Drugstore Cowboy on Wednesday evening and had a solid time, despite some initial hesitation due to its reputation. The bartender was knowledgeable about craft cocktails and expertly mixed my Old Fashioned. What stood out to me, though, was the live jazz music – they had a talented saxophonist playing during my visit around 9 pm. Overall, it's a great spot for drinks if you're in the area after dark.“

“This is totally a hidden gem. Im glad I came across and finally got to enjoy. The vibe here was fantastic. Its a dark mellow fun atmosphere. Perfect for drinks and chatting. The staff was so friendly . One of the reason why this is such a great place to be able to still socialize while there music and other people is cus the surround system is vintage and was personalized to be played up high over everything which makes the place more comfortable. The food was marvelous wasn't expecting a Mediterranean twist but definitely loving it gave the food a special kick to the flavors . The combination of the spices and texture made the food amazing. I tried the steak and fries 10/10 and the shrimp roll be cause I love shrimp. And I loved them both . Personally I like dillso I was ok with the shrimp roll but for my ppl that dont like to try new thing I would recommend to stay away. The drinks were delicious. I had mexican can shots and Jennifer gray . Both I highly recommend. Also a mango cart cocktail but which was delicious also but it has a habanero taste to it thats not my favorite. But still enjoyed it. Something else I learned was the mixers are made natural from all the spices or fruits . Naturally extracted with also give the drinks that extra flavor. More natural and not processes. This is definitely a place to come and enjoy with friends. There was actually a birthday being celebrated and they show movies on a roll down projector this is event worthy for people looking to host an event here.“

“After our Altadena house burned down, we relocated to Barker Block and absolutely love being so close to Manuela. We used to have a fire table like yours, so dining here always carries a sense of home. Last night we brought friends, and they said, ‘This makes it hard to go out to eat in Monrovia—our restaurants cut corners with cheap ingredients and fast turnover.’ What your chefs create is the opposite: dishes with not just incredible flavor but extraordinary texture and detail. Their expertise is off the charts, and I highly recommend.“

“Our church, Triedstone MBC, just hosted a luncheon for our leadership team. It was catered by Darrow’s New Orleans Grill. We were very pleased with our experience. The food was delicious. And the service was great! They arrived early. And the food was hot. The owner, Norwood, presented the food with a very appetizing description of each entree. Everyone loved it! Additionally, the portions were very generous. And everyone went back for seconds. At Triedstone, we do everything with excellence. And Darrow’s definitely met the challenge. “Plenty of good IPAs, draft, and domestic beers. The Backyard Burger was wonderful, definitely coming back just for that. Having Delirium Tremens in their beer stock was amazing, hadn't seen many bars with this many good options in a while. A good place for a quiet and private date, but with good walking distance to Echo Park and local bars and venues.“

“Beautiful bar. Modern with a home feel. The ambiance is very chill. Large and wide open window on one side gives you a good view of Sunset Blvd. opposite is the patio that has the food. “A go-to small bar to watch any major event. I live down the street and this spot has cemented itself as a staple of the community for such events. Staff are friendly, 3 restrooms, plus separate stalls for men, the place is constantly being watched for empty beer bottles/trash. I've enjoyed my visits here ☺
The outdoor area is covered by a huge tree that gives plenty of shade. On top of that, the place isn't noisy unless it's a weekend night.“

“MY GOD!! I wish i could fully describe our experience here! We went for my partners 30th birthday l. The staff were beyond hospitable. If you’re looking for a restaurant where the atmosphere is amazing. Food is 10/10 but the servers really treat you like you are in their home this is the place. I wish I could rate them more stars. Plus they sent us home with some fresh fruit from their trees.“

“I came in for lunch to grab a quick snack and get some editing done on my phone. I just ordered a sake cocktail that they made delicious! And i also ordered the chicken meatball skewer, which came paired with egg to dip and I loved that sweet with salty combination so much! I would say I couldnt really get any work done on my phone as I don’t believe its a work friendly place although the tables are great to do so. They dont have outlets anywhere near the tables so if you need to charge your laptop or phone here is impossible to do unless behind the bar.
I just ready a book for a bit and enjoyed my cocktail and snack. I do think the atmosphere is more of a come in with friends and share a meal and gossip a bit. Or for dinner I think its also a great spot. I loved what i tried although it wasnt much. I would come again with a friend to have some cocktails and some snacks as the food and drinks were really delicious!“

“This place is a haven for ALL of geekdom. As a fan of the show, Fatman Beyond, we HAD to visit the Scum and Villainy Cantina during our SoCal vacation. It was even better than we imagined! It was smaller than expected, but what it lacked in size, it made up for with ambience. It was obvious how much heart went into it's creation. You could see J.C. Reifenberg's passion for sci-fi/fantasy in the decor. In addition, the staff was so incredibly friendly, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The menu was creative and the food/drinks were delicious. To top it all off, Bamf Man, himself, came to our table and talked to us while we were there! Incredible experience! (Tell Jen we're sorry we kept you away from your work that night ?) - THE IOWA FAMILY ?“

I love retro sports decor. The building is beautiful. So is the bar itself. I also love the booth seating. And the upstairs area. The photo booth is so cool. And the food is delicious. I was there working on an indie movie and we filmed there. I highly recommend trying it out. It's right in the heart of Hollywood. 🫶“

“Went in last night for New year's, been living in the neighborhood for 16 years and went in for the first time and had a good time. I'm sure not every night is like new year's (2017-2018). Great people, good prices. The music was good. They have English and Spanish music at the juke box. Very chill place can be low key if you wanted to be alone. And plenty of parking. Restroom were clean I was very surprised. I'll be coming back.“
