“The food has a great taste and I can tell the recipe of the broth is thoughtfully designed and flavored. The service was fine but the restaurant felt too crowded and loud. While I understand it’s a ramen spot, their décor and presentation are more refined than most, so the hectic atmosphere detracted slightly from the overall experience.”
“11/10 experience at Juliet! The food was absolutely perfect and staff was lovely! Our server, Hannah was instrumental in helping me pick the right wine. The food was beautifully prepared and the atmosphere was perfect for date night. Highly recommend!”

“As most of old Hollywood fades away silently, this one is going out with a bang! please consider stopping by, and stepping back into the days of Frank, Dino, and the rest of the Rat Pack..... you won't be disappointed.... if you can't stay, take home a fabulous TV dinner, from the menu.... again, it's not to be missed.... but don't wait too long, sadly it won't last forever, and another treasure will only be matchbooks and memories😞”
“We parked across the street from the Culver Steps garage, which turned out to be the easiest option — reasonable rates, plenty of space, and a quick walk over. You can take the elevator up to the restaurant, which makes the whole place accessible, but we took the stairs. Going up in the evening felt almost cinematic: the steps are softly lit, the buildings glow around you, and Culver City has that nighttime energy that feels both urban and cozy.
Inside, Laurel Grill is big, warm, and slightly dressy in the best way. The lighting is dim but elegant, the bar stretches across the room, and there’s a hum of people settling into conversations, date nights, and groups of friends meeting after work. Even though the space is huge, we still had a short wait and eventually sat at the bar — which ended up being perfectly comfortable.
The service was lovely. We were checked on multiple times, glasses refilled, and never once felt unattended.
We kept dinner simple: handmade pasta — fresh, flavorful. We also appreciated that the menu has good options for vegetarians. Between the pastas, salads, and sides, it didn’t feel like an afterthought. Drinks were reasonably priced for fancy LA :)
The bar area does sit close to the doors, and since many of them stay open, it can get chilly on colder nights. If that bothers you, request a table away from the entrances or opt for a booth inside. The outdoor fire pits also looked beautiful and would be great on a more temperate evening.
One little detail we loved: the restaurant decor includes classic Hollywood photos — Elvis and other vintage touches — which reminded us that Culver City is surrounded by studios.
Overall, Laurel Grill is a great pick for a slightly elevated night out. The space is gorgeous, the food is solid, the service is warm. We would definitely return — maybe next time for a table and a slower dinner, or a cozy drink by the fire.”

“Copenhagen Pastry is a gem. I love the Scandinavian simplicity of the design — elegant, bright, and welcoming both inside and out. The Princess Cake was absolutely outstanding — soft sponge, perfectly balanced custard and raspberry jam, and that light almond layer on top was perfection. The owner was very attentive, and the service was smooth and genuine. You can feel the care in every detail.”
“I was craving chicken and my partner told me that their chicken is so delicious. I’ve ordered the meat and potato combo (I think that was the name). You can choose between dark and light meat, I’ve chosen light. The chicken was really well seasoned and wasn’t dry at all. The meal came with roasted potatoes, aioli and a chili dip which is so addicting. The pita and Hummus were also delicious and make it such a tasty combo. Next time I want to check out their dine in restaurant which is just one minute away. Also shoutout to the friendly staff :)”
“Without a doubt, the most innovative, captivating, and delectable feast I will ever savor. It transcends mere dining; it becomes an immersive experience, a meditative endeavor, and a voyage to an exotic and unfathomable realm. A visit to Vespertine is more than just a meal; it is an extraordinary event.”
“I have to say it's well worth a visit, the staff is very friendly and the beer selection is huge. Drinking it in Taiwan is very different from drinking it live in LA.”

“If you’re reading this, here’s the short version: this is easily one of the best restaurants in Culver City, and you need to try it now!
It’s a small spot in downtown Culver City that you could walk past without noticing. I’m glad I didn’t. There are a couple of tables outside, but most of the seating is indoors. The space is modern, clean, and relaxing.
We ordered three dishes, all recommended by our waiter. The mussel toast is a must. Every bite is savory and packed with seafood flavor. For mains, we had the short rib and rainbow trout. The short rib was perfection. Cooked over fire and served with crispy potato strings. It’s something you get at high-end steakhouse but at half the price. The rainbow trout looked beautiful and tasted fresh, though the citrus was a bit stronger than I prefer.
For dessert, we couldn’t resist the churro and ice cream sandwich. The ice cream (another must try), sourced from a Persian maker, was rich with rose, honey, and pistachio. The presentation was just as impressive. The churros were decent, though I wished they were crispier and the dipping sauce was thicker.
Overall, I’d give this place a solid five stars. The food is close to Michelin quality without the Michelin prices. Go and you won’t be disappointed.”

“Hand roll spot with dry aged fish inside the Citizen Public Market. Came here for dinner with a friend and we both ordered the small set (4 pieces). We were able to replace the lean roll with a different fish. Our server was super nice and we enjoyed our meal. It operates like it’s a sit down spot so you pay after the meal, rather than at the counter like at other stalls in the market.”
“The foods are amazing … i had the salmon creamy pasta and i liked it so much, the salmon with cherry tomatoes are very refreshing , porcini and mushroom are the new favorites , but the black truffle was the most unforgettable one , once you taste it, it seems you are watching a classic italian movie. The employees are friendly and very accomodating. The atmosphere itself makes you feel like home.”
“Everything about this place is PERFECTION. The owner, Plern, is an absolute genius! Plern has so much talent and puts all her heart into this place. You really feel like you’re being cared for here.”
“Elijah and the crew at Luna Grill are wonderful and nice! The food was delicious 😋 I’m definitely coming again! Thank you😊”

“Just finished a fabulous dinner at the DTLA location! We got the Block Bowl and a Combo plate with Brisket and Pulled Pork - everything was delicious, the service was really warm and friendly, and the whole vibe was great! We’ve been eyeing this place for awhile and will definitely be back!!”
“one place uou can't ho wrong. Finally Indian fine cuisine at it's BEST. I highly recommend.”
“Nestled right next to Trader Joe’s in Downtown Culver City, Brothers
Sushi is a casual restaurant with attentive and friendly servers and sushi chefs. The fish quality is exceptional and fresh. Their delicious miso soup is a MUST TRY! The lunch menu has a wide variety ranging from sushi to bento boxes. Hands down Brothers Sushi is worth the splurge. If you have room for more after your meal, their desserts are light, not incredibly sweet and refreshing. We will definitely come back. Thank you, Brothers Sushi 🍣 🍱”
“I love Simonette. The patio is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a cocktail and breakfast, lunch, or brunch. I’ve been there twice now and I can highly recommend the burger on the menu - the fried egg on top completes it! And the mussels in the light cream sauce are wonderful - especially with fries. A friend of mine ordered the fried Bronzino - the complete fish including the head - and she said it was delicious. There are great cocktails available and several wines and Prosecco available by the glass. The onsite valet parking is a bit steep, but there are many nearby options for parking in downtown Culver City if you don’t mind walking a few blocks.”
“We have kids who are very choosy when it comes to food . I was surprised to see my kids loved the dosa and the puri masala here. In our 3 days visit , we dined in here 2 times and ordered online one time . Quality of the food and the service was on the par every time. The most highlighted drink is the MASALA CHAI. It was just the right masala and perfectly perfect Chai I ever had in recent times. The staff members were super friendly that they prepared a special cheese dosa to go for our flight to our kids since they loved their dosa . I highly recommend this place especially with kids 🥰”
“Thanks for 18 amazing years! We came here on our 1st date almost 14 years ago, a year later to celebrate our 1st anniversary and many other times along the way. Every single time was fantastic!”

Takeout Restaurants
“Endless options for vegans here. I got there just after noon on Sunday and they still had all of their vegan pastries available. Sadly I was just visiting so wasn’t able to try more hut the Almond Croissant was perfect to have with their latte with oat milk and in house syrup.”
“Fresh and authentically Italian, this is easy, casual dining from the entrepreneur behind Sara and The Wine Bar. Thank you to Gabriella for describing the process behind the different pizza styles. Really enjoyed the Roman style, although it is often known as Sicilian style on the East Coast. Thanks again!”
“Holy crap. I’ve been trying to find an excellent protein shake place with supplement add-one like creatine, meal replacements, fat burner, etc. and this place HAS IT. It’s so hard finding a good protein shake place that makes it right and this place ABSOLUTELY KILLS the protein shakes. I got the Cinnamon Toast with Fat Burner and Creatine, but I’m trying the peanut butter pistachio next time. It’s a bit of a drive for me since I’m based in LA but I think it’s so worth it. Highly highly recommend.”
“Fantastic coffee. espresso or drip, they know exactly what they are doing”
“Fast, efficient, friendly, and oh so good! As a Seinfeld fan, I very much appreciate the Serenity Now sandwich name, but as a discerning sandwich lover, I appreciate the quality of ingredients and flavor even more! This is the perfect sandwich… textures & flavors all in harmony. I’m so tempted to try some of their other options, but this one is too good to pass up. In and out the door in 10 or 15 mins, even when they are busy. They run a great shop, highly recommended.”

“FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE ❣️❣️❣️
I can’t say enough how incredibly delicious this restaurant was. I called my friend, Dan R (Legendary, Venice, Photographer, and the world ) for a recommendation on some delicious Mexican food. He laughed and said Tacomiando (why he was laughing just delivered him food from the restaurant… he said this is definitely the best in the area and he was not mistaken. This food from the cleanliness of the restaurant to how nice and helpful the staff was I always judge a restaurant on their chips. As well, I can honestly say these chips were incredible along with everything I’ve tried. I almost forgot to mention they’re incredible salsa bar. Hope you can see in the photo, but it was quite extensive. ✨🤩😍
If you’re reading this and you like Mexican food, this is a must try

“I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Cognoscenti Coffee on our interview date. Modern meets comfort with a hint of retro inside (and outside) Culver City’s Cognoscenti Coffee. Don’t let its small exterior fool you, because once you step inside you will be welcomed by a slew of cute bistro tables, industrial benches, and colorful chairs. But wait, there’s more! Veer to the right and catch a breath of fresh air in their somewhat secluded patio area. Whether you’re meeting with your bestie or having a writer’s meeting, you will easily be able to find a space to fit however many people in your party. Now let’s get to the good stuff! Cognoscenti’s beverage menu is comprised of the classics along with fun seasonal recipes in the mix. My drink of choice, the surprisingly refreshing Turmeric Latte. I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting myself into, but I’m very glad that my day to be adventurous was an enjoyable one with its perfect ratio of milk to spice. Hungry? Check out their selection of huge (and I mean huge) pastries to fill you up for breakfast or to hold you over until your group dinner in one of the Downtown Culver restaurants.”
“Nice coffee shop in Culver City with a nice and cozy vibe. Artsy and vibrant they propose both pastries and coffees/teas, in short anything you need to wake up in the morning or to grab a late afternoon cup of joe.
With its bohemian vibe and decoration it’s definitely a trendy but not pretentious place to stop by

“The Cinema Bar is everything you want in a local spot — laid-back vibes, strong drinks, live music that actually slaps, and a crowd that feels like instant friends. It’s got that old-school charm you can’t fake. Whether you’re catching a band, hanging on the patio, or just sipping a whiskey solo, this place always hits the right note. No pretension, just good times. West LA gem for sure.”
“Good food, great atmosphere, friendly and fast service,I recommend to everyone,👍🏼”
“I chased the Bang Bang Noodles pop‑up in Highland Park—they serve hand‑pulled noodles that are fresh and chewy. My bowl of spicy dan dan noodles had great chili heat and sesame flavor. Locals rave, saying it’s among the best fresh noodles in LA. The vibe was simple and friendly, like a neighborhood secret. Worth following their pop‑up Instagram”
“This is a place that you wouldn't expect to find in a mall foodcourt – mouthwatering sandwiches made with freshly baked bread and an excellent selection of salads. The giant stone oven is the centerpiece of this counter-service restaurant, and their soft breads with cheese baked into the top crust are constantly being pulled out for the spectacle. Very low key and tasty spot that I believe would be more successful outside of a shopping mall.”
“They belong in the cloud kitchen in Culver City. This is convenient for pick up. Cloud kitchen is a concept where there are multiple kitchens located in the same location. Food can be ordered prior to arrival to cut the wait time. They will call you when food is ready.I ordered:1. Grilled chicken - chicken is very moist and flavorful!2. Crispy chicken krapow with sunny up side egg - moist chicken3. Mango tropioca”
“I recently stumbled upon your establishment and must say, the name perfectly captures how I felt after trying your food. I ordered fried wings, rice, and vegetables, and each dish was exceptional.
The wings were piping hot, and the aroma that wafted from the box was simply incredible. The blend of spices and flavors was perfect, and I was truly blown away.
The rice was buttery and delicious, and the vegetables were a wonderful complement to the meal.
Thank you for such a delightful dining experience. I will certainly be back for more.”

“As for Fried Chicken goes, Honey Kettle is one of the better ones in Southern California. The simplicity of the goods is what makes this staple good. There isn't many frills, but good fresh chicken cooked with some care.
There have been some small issues with service from time to time, but overall I would maintain their high rating because of the delicious chicken they serve.
There are some hit and misses with their sides, but certainly do get their beans.
Portions are not big, but there is nothing wrong with over-ordering something that could be finished later.”

“Nong La has a dedicated Canto Viet man diligently directing the back of the house day in and day out, making sure the food hits their level of comfortable consistent cuisine, which won’t exactly blow minds or taste buds, but fills an exotic unfamiliar question mark into a manageable modern meal. But there’s this really Skinny Canto Viet lady bossing a bunch of diverse ppl around… she’s kinda scary at times and fiery at times… I suspect Nong La (Nong La means Burning) was named after the hot heat came from her own… hot… …..!😉🤓🔥🥵)”
“Absolutely in love with this place! 🍽️✨ The food is a beautiful symphony of flavors, and the atmosphere is just so warm and welcoming. The perfect spot for a cozy meal with friends or a special dinner. Every bite was a little piece of happiness. 💛”
