“Vegan tantan is by far the best ramen in culver. Vegan apps are great too. Afuri is second, ippudo a distant third, IMO Updated from previous review on 2026-01-26”
“Juliet restaurant is truly wonderful. The French-inspired dishes are beautifully presented, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. It feels like you're dining in the heart of Paris.
The staff are attentive and the space is elegant and modern. We look forward to returning.”
“The seared salmon and tuna were absolutely unforgettable, just as I remembered. What makes this omakase experience so special is that you can keep enjoying dish after dish until you feel completely satisfied. Truly grateful to Uzumaki for such a delightful meal!”

“Thanks for 18 amazing years! We came here on our 1st date almost 14 years ago, a year later to celebrate our 1st anniversary and many other times along the way. Every single time was fantastic!”

“As most of old Hollywood fades away silently, this one is going out with a bang! please consider stopping by, and stepping back into the days of Frank, Dino, and the rest of the Rat Pack..... you won't be disappointed.... if you can't stay, take home a fabulous TV dinner, from the menu.... again, it's not to be missed.... but don't wait too long, sadly it won't last forever, and another treasure will only be matchbooks and memories😞”
“The foods are amazing … i had the salmon creamy pasta and i liked it so much, the salmon with cherry tomatoes are very refreshing , porcini and mushroom are the new favorites , but the black truffle was the most unforgettable one , once you taste it, it seems you are watching a classic italian movie. The employees are friendly and very accomodating. The atmosphere itself makes you feel like home.”

“We parked across the street from the Culver Steps garage, which turned out to be the easiest option — reasonable rates, plenty of space, and a quick walk over. You can take the elevator up to the restaurant, which makes the whole place accessible, but we took the stairs. Going up in the evening felt almost cinematic: the steps are softly lit, the buildings glow around you, and Culver City has that nighttime energy that feels both urban and cozy.
Inside, Laurel Grill is big, warm, and slightly dressy in the best way. The lighting is dim but elegant, the bar stretches across the room, and there’s a hum of people settling into conversations, date nights, and groups of friends meeting after work. Even though the space is huge, we still had a short wait and eventually sat at the bar — which ended up being perfectly comfortable.
The service was lovely. We were checked on multiple times, glasses refilled, and never once felt unattended.
We kept dinner simple: handmade pasta — fresh, flavorful. We also appreciated that the menu has good options for vegetarians. Between the pastas, salads, and sides, it didn’t feel like an afterthought. Drinks were reasonably priced for fancy LA :)
The bar area does sit close to the doors, and since many of them stay open, it can get chilly on colder nights. If that bothers you, request a table away from the entrances or opt for a booth inside. The outdoor fire pits also looked beautiful and would be great on a more temperate evening.
One little detail we loved: the restaurant decor includes classic Hollywood photos — Elvis and other vintage touches — which reminded us that Culver City is surrounded by studios.
Overall, Laurel Grill is a great pick for a slightly elevated night out. The space is gorgeous, the food is solid, the service is warm. We would definitely return — maybe next time for a table and a slower dinner, or a cozy drink by the fire.”
“We randomly ended up to this restaurant: small, but pleasant, the type of place where you can talk with your friends. Party of three, we had the fish carpaccio, the octopus, and the burger (gourmet burger!). Everything was prepared to perfection. They will definitely see us again.”
“Excellent food and fantastic service! I have a gluten allergy, and Bri was incredibly helpful! She walked me through the menu and made sure the chefs fully understood my allergy. It was my first time there, and Bri truly made the experience wonderful. Excited to come back!”
“the chicken slaps! got the 3 tender combo, and these are by far some of the biggest tenders i’ve ever had (def should’ve got the 2 count). I ordered them with the “spark” seasoning and imo hits the perfect spicy but not too hot level. also ordered the cheese curds which were great as well! plenty of parking which is rarity in LA. 9/10 experience!”

“Our second time being there. Truly amazing experience. Food is absolutely outstanding, dessert is not as impressive. Typical pricing for testing menu is worth it BUT charging twice as much for ALMOST the same food and charging twice as much for valentine evening was not justified.”

“Nestled right next to Trader Joe’s in Downtown Culver City, Brothers
Sushi is a casual restaurant with attentive and friendly servers and sushi chefs. The fish quality is exceptional and fresh. Their delicious miso soup is a MUST TRY! The lunch menu has a wide variety ranging from sushi to bento boxes. Hands down Brothers Sushi is worth the splurge. If you have room for more after your meal, their desserts are light, not incredibly sweet and refreshing. We will definitely come back. Thank you, Brothers Sushi 🍣 🍱”
“I love Simonette. The patio is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a cocktail and breakfast, lunch, or brunch. I’ve been there twice now and I can highly recommend the burger on the menu - the fried egg on top completes it! And the mussels in the light cream sauce are wonderful - especially with fries. A friend of mine ordered the fried Bronzino - the complete fish including the head - and she said it was delicious. There are great cocktails available and several wines and Prosecco available by the glass. The onsite valet parking is a bit steep, but there are many nearby options for parking in downtown Culver City if you don’t mind walking a few blocks.”
“Just finished a fabulous dinner at the DTLA location! We got the Block Bowl and a Combo plate with Brisket and Pulled Pork - everything was delicious, the service was really warm and friendly, and the whole vibe was great! We’ve been eyeing this place for awhile and will definitely be back!!”
“one place uou can't ho wrong. Finally Indian fine cuisine at it's BEST. I highly recommend.”
“Even though it was a chilly February evening, we enjoyed sitting outside with numerous patio heaters turned on. We sat a table for 2 next to a patio heater. The wine selection by the glass is limited and we sampled 3 different reds before deciding on an Italian red wine. We shared an artichoke salad (listed as a special) and it was excellent. We were somewhat disappointed with the Bufalina pizza that we shared. We added prosciutto but the pizza crust was "wet" - not "dry" & my spouse thought the prosciutto should have been cut into smaller pieces.”
“My wife, son and I had Easter Brunch at West & Co., and we had an excellent time. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the ambiance was peaceful and elegant. The brunch included an egg hunt and a visit from the Easter Bunny (which my son loved). This was our first time visiting West & Co., and we are looking forward to going back soon.”
“Elijah and the crew at Luna Grill are wonderful and nice! The food was delicious 😋 I’m definitely coming again! Thank you😊”
“Everything about this place is PERFECTION. The owner, Plern, is an absolute genius! Plern has so much talent and puts all her heart into this place. You really feel like you’re being cared for here.”

“I love the tacos here! Soft shell classic style or dorado they are both great. I get a small rice, which is usually a big bowl. This place is awesome right here on the corner of Sepulveda and Washington. I love eating outside and getting the food at the window. Come check it out.”
“It’s very different .. they try to get you to use a machine to order .. I don’t like this ..cold . I prefer interacting with a person.. I don’t like the idea of a machine taking a persons employment.. the play area is very small not much to do .. we won’t be here much .sorry😩”

Takeout Restaurants
“Baked bar is just an awesome little community hub! Having lived in Culver for three years now, it’s always packed for such a small space. The staff is lovely, great with dietary needs, and a positive environment. I also love how they have local products they sell, and their own homemade creations too. Anyone looking for a hole in the wall spot is missing out on this gem!”
“So much more than a bookstore with a coffee shop. It's a perfect cafe to meet up, get a unique book, do a work session, or catch one of the many events - it's a place with people that make you feel part of the community. It's a very unique spot where everyone feels invited and welcome.”
“I have known Kristy since she her original store at Abbot Kinney. She makes the most beautiful creations. But most importantly, her desserts are mouthwateringly delicious. Her desserts are both delicate and slightly sweet on the palate. Her background of French and Asian baking techniques are beautifully expressed on her dessert creations. Once you taste her desserts, everything else is secondary.”
“Holy crap. I’ve been trying to find an excellent protein shake place with supplement add-one like creatine, meal replacements, fat burner, etc. and this place HAS IT. It’s so hard finding a good protein shake place that makes it right and this place ABSOLUTELY KILLS the protein shakes. I got the Cinnamon Toast with Fat Burner and Creatine, but I’m trying the peanut butter pistachio next time. It’s a bit of a drive for me since I’m based in LA but I think it’s so worth it. Highly highly recommend.”
“Fantastic coffee. espresso or drip, they know exactly what they are doing”
“Everything I've had from here has been extraordinary. My favorite was a croissant-muffin filled with raspberry creme. Magical. The textures are perfect without being greasy. The savory treats are excellent, too. Note: I had no luck trying to find the Palms location. Best to go to the Maisan Macha stand at the Mar Vista farmer's market on Sundays. Come early before your favorites sell out! Updated from previous review on 2025-08-30”

“PERFECTLY WRAPPED SANDWICHES
SERVICE: The owners make sure everyone is taken care of. Now, that is excellent service!
Food:
Popular with my family. My mom really liked the chicken salad sandwich. Sometimes, it is unavailable.
Parking situation:
Very challenging. Pick up vistors parking on the BUS ONLY lane...not too good situation. Drivers waiting on streets blocking traffic to find a spot.
Conclusion:
Cute sandwich store with condiment and snack displays.”
“I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Cognoscenti Coffee on our interview date. Modern meets comfort with a hint of retro inside (and outside) Culver City’s Cognoscenti Coffee. Don’t let its small exterior fool you, because once you step inside you will be welcomed by a slew of cute bistro tables, industrial benches, and colorful chairs. But wait, there’s more! Veer to the right and catch a breath of fresh air in their somewhat secluded patio area. Whether you’re meeting with your bestie or having a writer’s meeting, you will easily be able to find a space to fit however many people in your party. Now let’s get to the good stuff! Cognoscenti’s beverage menu is comprised of the classics along with fun seasonal recipes in the mix. My drink of choice, the surprisingly refreshing Turmeric Latte. I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting myself into, but I’m very glad that my day to be adventurous was an enjoyable one with its perfect ratio of milk to spice. Hungry? Check out their selection of huge (and I mean huge) pastries to fill you up for breakfast or to hold you over until your group dinner in one of the Downtown Culver restaurants.”
“As someone who grew up near Philly, this is the best cheesesteak I’ve had in LA.
Comes with mushroom and onions, which is a must. The bread was pillowy and soft, and while some prefer a crunchy toasted cheesesteak, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not overly greasy, clean beef cuts, and the it was THE RIGHT CHEESE. I also got the garlic fries which were great.
Definitely get a cheesesteak here to satisfy the craving.”

“Great place for italian products and the sandwiches are devine!”

“I decided to give this place a try after having heard a lot of great things about it. Usually when I want good fried chicken i end up going to Gus's but i figured it was time to try some place new for a change. I ordered take out and the food came out the way I expected it. The chicken had a similar batter as Gus's does just minus the spiciness. It was good but it lacking on flavor in my opinion. Salty but no spice. Sure they gave me hot sauce cups for the chicken to help out but i prefer how they do it at Gus's instead. The mashed potatoes i got were good though, I enjoyed the flavor and the good kick the gravy got too. The fries were okay. I believe they are regular 3/8 of an inch straight cut fries with their own seasoning. So think crinkle cut thickness but straight instead. The biscuits were good though too. Nothing crazy about it but it was more bready than flaky if that makes sense. Something different but it was good. All in all my visit here to Honey's was alright, food was good but it wasn't enough to change my mind about Gus's and I still prefer to go there instead. But I think this place is still worth a try for those who were iffy like I was. It didn't know my socks off but it was still good nonetheless. I might have to come back and try the chicken sandwich or something else on the menu next time.”
“This is a great little place, it's been open for a long time. I been eating here since I was a kid, my dad used to bring me and my brothers. The carnitas tacos are great, except they change the cheddar cheese to the white cheese. Tacos taste good but not like they used to taste. There is limited parking, the restaurant is very clean.”
“I loved my meal at Cava!
The staff were friendly & helpful at assisting me with my item selections for my Mediterranean bowl. Also, the restaurant was very clean and well-kept.
The ingredients were all fresh and delicious, and the price was very reasonable!
I for sure will be back in the future!”

“Wow — this pop-up Cambodian spot blew me away! The food was so good — every bite was packed with flavor. The beef on lemongrass skewers as well as pork belly and chicken were all super tender and flavorful, and the herbs and sauces tied everything together perfectly. You can tell everything’s made with passion and fresh ingredients.
The people running it were super friendly too — they took time to explain each dish and give recommendations even to brick and mortars to try. It’s the kind of place that makes you excited to try something new. If you see them around town, definitely stop by — you won’t regret it!”
“A beautiful coffee experience in Culver City! Qamaria sources single-origin beans from Yemen's Haraz region and infuses them with aromatic spices like cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger. The signature Qamaria latte with honey is incredible, and the pistachio latte is a must-try.”
“This is my second time at Butterfly and it was amazing for dinner however breakfast was okay (3/5). I ordered the poached egg Benedict and my sister ordered chilaquiles and we both felt the food needed more seasoning, very bland and overpriced. The chilaquiles did not have any avocado which was a bit disappointing. I recommend their main menu/ breakfast not so much. I will say their service is great, the waiter was very attentive.”
“Nong La has a dedicated Canto Viet man diligently directing the back of the house day in and day out, making sure the food hits their level of comfortable consistent cuisine, which won’t exactly blow minds or taste buds, but fills an exotic unfamiliar question mark into a manageable modern meal. But there’s this really Skinny Canto Viet lady bossing a bunch of diverse ppl around… she’s kinda scary at times and fiery at times… I suspect Nong La (Nong La means Burning) was named after the hot heat came from her own… hot… …..!😉🤓🔥🥵)”
“Absolutely in love with this place! 🍽️✨ The food is a beautiful symphony of flavors, and the atmosphere is just so warm and welcoming. The perfect spot for a cozy meal with friends or a special dinner. Every bite was a little piece of happiness. 💛”
