“The food has a great taste and I can tell the recipe of the broth is thoughtfully designed and flavored. The service was fine but the restaurant felt too crowded and loud. While I understand it’s a ramen spot, their décor and presentation are more refined than most, so the hectic atmosphere detracted slightly from the overall experience.”
“11/10 experience at Juliet! The food was absolutely perfect and staff was lovely! Our server, Hannah was instrumental in helping me pick the right wine. The food was beautifully prepared and the atmosphere was perfect for date night. Highly recommend!”
“As most of old Hollywood fades away silently, this one is going out with a bang! please consider stopping by, and stepping back into the days of Frank, Dino, and the rest of the Rat Pack..... you won't be disappointed.... if you can't stay, take home a fabulous TV dinner, from the menu.... again, it's not to be missed.... but don't wait too long, sadly it won't last forever, and another treasure will only be matchbooks and memories😞”

“The seared salmon and tuna were absolutely unforgettable, just as I remembered. What makes this omakase experience so special is that you can keep enjoying dish after dish until you feel completely satisfied. Truly grateful to Uzumaki for such a delightful meal!”
“I was craving chicken and my partner told me that their chicken is so delicious. I’ve ordered the meat and potato combo (I think that was the name). You can choose between dark and light meat, I’ve chosen light. The chicken was really well seasoned and wasn’t dry at all. The meal came with roasted potatoes, aioli and a chili dip which is so addicting. The pita and Hummus were also delicious and make it such a tasty combo. Next time I want to check out their dine in restaurant which is just one minute away. Also shoutout to the friendly staff :)”
“I have to say it's well worth a visit, the staff is very friendly and the beer selection is huge. Drinking it in Taiwan is very different from drinking it live in LA.”
“We parked across the street from the Culver Steps garage, which turned out to be the easiest option — reasonable rates, plenty of space, and a quick walk over. You can take the elevator up to the restaurant, which makes the whole place accessible, but we took the stairs. Going up in the evening felt almost cinematic: the steps are softly lit, the buildings glow around you, and Culver City has that nighttime energy that feels both urban and cozy.
Inside, Laurel Grill is big, warm, and slightly dressy in the best way. The lighting is dim but elegant, the bar stretches across the room, and there’s a hum of people settling into conversations, date nights, and groups of friends meeting after work. Even though the space is huge, we still had a short wait and eventually sat at the bar — which ended up being perfectly comfortable.
The service was lovely. We were checked on multiple times, glasses refilled, and never once felt unattended.
We kept dinner simple: handmade pasta — fresh, flavorful. We also appreciated that the menu has good options for vegetarians. Between the pastas, salads, and sides, it didn’t feel like an afterthought. Drinks were reasonably priced for fancy LA :)
The bar area does sit close to the doors, and since many of them stay open, it can get chilly on colder nights. If that bothers you, request a table away from the entrances or opt for a booth inside. The outdoor fire pits also looked beautiful and would be great on a more temperate evening.
One little detail we loved: the restaurant decor includes classic Hollywood photos — Elvis and other vintage touches — which reminded us that Culver City is surrounded by studios.
Overall, Laurel Grill is a great pick for a slightly elevated night out. The space is gorgeous, the food is solid, the service is warm. We would definitely return — maybe next time for a table and a slower dinner, or a cozy drink by the fire.”

“If you’re reading this, here’s the short version: this is easily one of the best restaurants in Culver City, and you need to try it now!
It’s a small spot in downtown Culver City that you could walk past without noticing. I’m glad I didn’t. There are a couple of tables outside, but most of the seating is indoors. The space is modern, clean, and relaxing.
We ordered three dishes, all recommended by our waiter. The mussel toast is a must. Every bite is savory and packed with seafood flavor. For mains, we had the short rib and rainbow trout. The short rib was perfection. Cooked over fire and served with crispy potato strings. It’s something you get at high-end steakhouse but at half the price. The rainbow trout looked beautiful and tasted fresh, though the citrus was a bit stronger than I prefer.
For dessert, we couldn’t resist the churro and ice cream sandwich. The ice cream (another must try), sourced from a Persian maker, was rich with rose, honey, and pistachio. The presentation was just as impressive. The churros were decent, though I wished they were crispier and the dipping sauce was thicker.
Overall, I’d give this place a solid five stars. The food is close to Michelin quality without the Michelin prices. Go and you won’t be disappointed.”
“The foods are amazing … i had the salmon creamy pasta and i liked it so much, the salmon with cherry tomatoes are very refreshing , porcini and mushroom are the new favorites , but the black truffle was the most unforgettable one , once you taste it, it seems you are watching a classic italian movie. The employees are friendly and very accomodating. The atmosphere itself makes you feel like home.”
“Hand roll spot with dry aged fish inside the Citizen Public Market. Came here for dinner with a friend and we both ordered the small set (4 pieces). We were able to replace the lean roll with a different fish. Our server was super nice and we enjoyed our meal. It operates like it’s a sit down spot so you pay after the meal, rather than at the counter like at other stalls in the market.”

“Overall, I had a pleasant dining experience. The food and ambiance were enjoyable, but I couldn't help noticing moments of confusion and lack of coordination among the waitstaff. There seemed to be some disorientation, which disrupted the flow of service at times. At this price point, I expected a greater sense of fluidity, precision, and attentiveness throughout the meal. While the experience was still positive, a more polished level of service would have made it exceptional.”

“Nestled right next to Trader Joe’s in Downtown Culver City, Brothers
Sushi is a casual restaurant with attentive and friendly servers and sushi chefs. The fish quality is exceptional and fresh. Their delicious miso soup is a MUST TRY! The lunch menu has a wide variety ranging from sushi to bento boxes. Hands down Brothers Sushi is worth the splurge. If you have room for more after your meal, their desserts are light, not incredibly sweet and refreshing. We will definitely come back. Thank you, Brothers Sushi 🍣 🍱”
“I love Simonette. The patio is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a cocktail and breakfast, lunch, or brunch. I’ve been there twice now and I can highly recommend the burger on the menu - the fried egg on top completes it! And the mussels in the light cream sauce are wonderful - especially with fries. A friend of mine ordered the fried Bronzino - the complete fish including the head - and she said it was delicious. There are great cocktails available and several wines and Prosecco available by the glass. The onsite valet parking is a bit steep, but there are many nearby options for parking in downtown Culver City if you don’t mind walking a few blocks.”
“Just finished a fabulous dinner at the DTLA location! We got the Block Bowl and a Combo plate with Brisket and Pulled Pork - everything was delicious, the service was really warm and friendly, and the whole vibe was great! We’ve been eyeing this place for awhile and will definitely be back!!”
“one place uou can't ho wrong. Finally Indian fine cuisine at it's BEST. I highly recommend.”
“Went for a friends birthday dinner and do not regret it! We were seated outside and it was perfect ambiance (and heater next to us!) Our waiter was great - not pushy and all food came out timely. Food was wonderful! Overall would come back and celebrate other birthdays!”
“Been meaning to check this place out for a while, and I finally got a chance this afternoon. I ordered the falafel plate. The food was made fresh to order. The falafel was crispy, and the hummus was perfect. He threw in some spicy eggplant, which was fantastic!
There’s a small seating area inside and some tables outside if you want to eat there. I did carryout.
Love this place! I’ll definitely be stopping by again!”
“My wife, son and I had Easter Brunch at West & Co., and we had an excellent time. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the ambiance was peaceful and elegant. The brunch included an egg hunt and a visit from the Easter Bunny (which my son loved). This was our first time visiting West & Co., and we are looking forward to going back soon.”
“We would eat at Roberta's at least once or twice a week if we lived closer by. The food is so delicious and the options cover quite a wide variety of tastes. Though they are best known for their pizzas, I absolutely love their cheeseburger with smashed potatoes. Other highlights are the green salad, the sunchokes, Japanese sweet potatoes, meatballs, and the bread. Oh my, the bread is something I dream of. It's like a soft pillow of bread nirvana. Mmmmm”
“Everything about this place is PERFECTION. The owner, Plern, is an absolute genius! Plern has so much talent and puts all her heart into this place. You really feel like you’re being cared for here.”
“Elijah and the crew at Luna Grill are wonderful and nice! The food was delicious 😋 I’m definitely coming again! Thank you😊”

“It’s very different .. they try to get you to use a machine to order .. I don’t like this ..cold . I prefer interacting with a person.. I don’t like the idea of a machine taking a persons employment.. the play area is very small not much to do .. we won’t be here much .sorry😩”
“Thanks for 18 amazing years! We came here on our 1st date almost 14 years ago, a year later to celebrate our 1st anniversary and many other times along the way. Every single time was fantastic!”

Takeout Restaurants
“Baked bar is just an awesome little community hub! Having lived in Culver for three years now, it’s always packed for such a small space. The staff is lovely, great with dietary needs, and a positive environment. I also love how they have local products they sell, and their own homemade creations too. Anyone looking for a hole in the wall spot is missing out on this gem!”
“I have known Kristy since she her original store at Abbot Kinney. She makes the most beautiful creations. But most importantly, her desserts are mouthwateringly delicious. Her desserts are both delicate and slightly sweet on the palate. Her background of French and Asian baking techniques are beautifully expressed on her dessert creations. Once you taste her desserts, everything else is secondary.”
“Holy crap. I’ve been trying to find an excellent protein shake place with supplement add-one like creatine, meal replacements, fat burner, etc. and this place HAS IT. It’s so hard finding a good protein shake place that makes it right and this place ABSOLUTELY KILLS the protein shakes. I got the Cinnamon Toast with Fat Burner and Creatine, but I’m trying the peanut butter pistachio next time. It’s a bit of a drive for me since I’m based in LA but I think it’s so worth it. Highly highly recommend.”
“Everything I've had from here has been extraordinary. My favorite was a croissant-muffin filled with raspberry creme. Magical. The textures are perfect without being greasy. The savory treats are excellent, too. Note: I had no luck trying to find the Palms location. Best to go to the Maisan Macha stand at the Mar Vista farmer's market on Sundays. Come early before your favorites sell out! Updated from previous review on 2025-08-30”
“Fresh and authentically Italian, this is easy, casual dining from the entrepreneur behind Sara and The Wine Bar. Thank you to Gabriella for describing the process behind the different pizza styles. Really enjoyed the Roman style, although it is often known as Sicilian style on the East Coast. Thanks again!”

“Fantastic coffee. espresso or drip, they know exactly what they are doing”
“PERFECTLY WRAPPED SANDWICHES
SERVICE: The owners make sure everyone is taken care of. Now, that is excellent service!
Food:
Popular with my family. My mom really liked the chicken salad sandwich. Sometimes, it is unavailable.
Parking situation:
Very challenging. Pick up vistors parking on the BUS ONLY lane...not too good situation. Drivers waiting on streets blocking traffic to find a spot.
Conclusion:
Cute sandwich store with condiment and snack displays.”
“The Cinema Bar is everything you want in a local spot — laid-back vibes, strong drinks, live music that actually slaps, and a crowd that feels like instant friends. It’s got that old-school charm you can’t fake. Whether you’re catching a band, hanging on the patio, or just sipping a whiskey solo, this place always hits the right note. No pretension, just good times. West LA gem for sure.”
“Great place for italian products and the sandwiches are devine!”

“I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Cognoscenti Coffee on our interview date. Modern meets comfort with a hint of retro inside (and outside) Culver City’s Cognoscenti Coffee. Don’t let its small exterior fool you, because once you step inside you will be welcomed by a slew of cute bistro tables, industrial benches, and colorful chairs. But wait, there’s more! Veer to the right and catch a breath of fresh air in their somewhat secluded patio area. Whether you’re meeting with your bestie or having a writer’s meeting, you will easily be able to find a space to fit however many people in your party. Now let’s get to the good stuff! Cognoscenti’s beverage menu is comprised of the classics along with fun seasonal recipes in the mix. My drink of choice, the surprisingly refreshing Turmeric Latte. I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting myself into, but I’m very glad that my day to be adventurous was an enjoyable one with its perfect ratio of milk to spice. Hungry? Check out their selection of huge (and I mean huge) pastries to fill you up for breakfast or to hold you over until your group dinner in one of the Downtown Culver restaurants.”
“This is a great little place, it's been open for a long time. I been eating here since I was a kid, my dad used to bring me and my brothers. The carnitas tacos are great, except they change the cheddar cheese to the white cheese. Tacos taste good but not like they used to taste. There is limited parking, the restaurant is very clean.”
“Mexican Burrito and Beyond offers great variety of dishes from different parts of Mexico! From Machaca, burritos percherones to carne en su jugo and albóndigas mexicanas! Exquisite flavors with the Family Nostalgia! Easy pick up in their Culver City Location or fast delivery with their delivery partners: Ubereats, Doordash, Grubhub and Flipdish! Visit their website at Mexicanburrito&beyond.com to get special deals, gift cards and more!!!”

“As for Fried Chicken goes, Honey Kettle is one of the better ones in Southern California. The simplicity of the goods is what makes this staple good. There isn't many frills, but good fresh chicken cooked with some care.
There have been some small issues with service from time to time, but overall I would maintain their high rating because of the delicious chicken they serve.
There are some hit and misses with their sides, but certainly do get their beans.
Portions are not big, but there is nothing wrong with over-ordering something that could be finished later.”

“Wow — this pop-up Cambodian spot blew me away! The food was so good — every bite was packed with flavor. The beef on lemongrass skewers as well as pork belly and chicken were all super tender and flavorful, and the herbs and sauces tied everything together perfectly. You can tell everything’s made with passion and fresh ingredients.
The people running it were super friendly too — they took time to explain each dish and give recommendations even to brick and mortars to try. It’s the kind of place that makes you excited to try something new. If you see them around town, definitely stop by — you won’t regret it!”
“Atmosphere was great. Service was good. Food was bit overpriced but I can pay for atmosphere. Fish Taco was good. $9. Kids chicken tenders and fries were really good portion. My boy was happy. Tasted just like any chicken tenders and fries. Not bad, nothing outstanding. Shrimp with black sauce was tasty. Slightly small for $20. Overall worth try. Hard to find parking if you wish not to pay extra for hotel parking.”
“Nong La has a dedicated Canto Viet man diligently directing the back of the house day in and day out, making sure the food hits their level of comfortable consistent cuisine, which won’t exactly blow minds or taste buds, but fills an exotic unfamiliar question mark into a manageable modern meal. But there’s this really Skinny Canto Viet lady bossing a bunch of diverse ppl around… she’s kinda scary at times and fiery at times… I suspect Nong La (Nong La means Burning) was named after the hot heat came from her own… hot… …..!😉🤓🔥🥵)”
“Absolutely in love with this place! 🍽️✨ The food is a beautiful symphony of flavors, and the atmosphere is just so warm and welcoming. The perfect spot for a cozy meal with friends or a special dinner. Every bite was a little piece of happiness. 💛”
