The plate was a letdown. One small kabob and two sides felt overpriced for what you get, and the truffle rice in particular wasn't great.

The staff were friendly, but the space isn't built for dining in. We ate there and found the atmosphere cold and not very inviting; it feels like a takeout spot.

Bottom line: Order the wrap, get it to go, and skip the plate.“

“I love Saffron Grill. I've been a customer since moving nearby 3 years ago, and it seems like they're under new ownership you can tell they're passionate and have a vision for the food they're making. I got the chicken bone in plate and substituted with baghali pollo (lima bean and dill rice). The chicken was seasoned and grilled to perfection, and the lima bean rice was insanely delicious and flavorful. The hummus is one of my favorites, I love how it's seasoned. My bf got the koobideh combo, which is his go to, and nearly finished the whole thing. This time he got baghali pollo but last time he got barberry and loved it. The new rice options are so interesting and different! It's fun to try them out. In total we ordered two hummus, two entrees, and two desserts. The hummus came with pita, which was perfect.“

“Consistently the best tasteful quality of products across the whole menu. This place been there for over 45 years. Jack serves the best recepies using the most expensive meat for each of his menu items at a reasonable cost.
The place is known for his take-out more than dining in . There are about 6 tables only if you had a small party of 4-6 guests.
There's no wait if you pre-order on the phone. It's ready every single time. We dine on and order items to take out as well“

“My boyfriend and I had a car issue so we decided to grab lunch randomly from this restaurant and we were not disappointed. it looks like a family business and everyone involved is super lovely and they make amazing food. My boyfriend got a beef wrap and I got a chicken Shawarma wrap. I have never had that quality of chicken Shawarma in my life. The spices and flavors were amazing and overall we had a super nice lunch. Highly recommend stopping by and trying their food. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.“

“I'm so used to getting rice that is room temperature at best. So I ordered the chicken shawarma rice bowl, and the first thing I notice is the rice is warm . . . like really warm. I also have a fear of really hot spicy food because it makes me sick. No problem here - the chicken was so delicious, and not "hot" spicy at all. Just a really great flavor. My friend ordered the same, and her reaction was the same. Great flavor, so tasty! The service was great too! But the very best part was the size of the serving - it was such a generous serving, I had to ask for a to-go container, and enjoyed it again later that day. The restaurant was light, bright and clean. I totally recommend this restaurant.“

“Tried out your Cerritos location, I lived in LA almost 3years and food especially the kebab wrap was the best by far and I have tried different kebab place’s before in LA. One of the best Kebab place in America, the lamb was moist and very tasty with great flavors, the combination of the hummus, salad, fries combined with the lamb was delicious, the fresh flat bread was soft and crispy on the outside. Add the garlic yogurt sauce wow your tastebuds explodes in your mouth, the food was very lite and not heavy like most kebab place so they got the right balance by using the flat bread and not pita bread that most place use on the wrap Well done this place remind me of a place back home in New Zealand. I give The Kebab shop in Cerritos 10/10 Highly Recommend this place to my friends and family and different locations in America. Will go again and try something different on the menu.“

They’re the only store that they make halawet el jibin and eesh al Saraya and other desserts . I wish they open a store in Nashville as we don’t have middle eastern dessert shop there . “Earlier this year, they converted the Shawarma Palace Too cart to something else with neither shawarmas, nor vegan options. BOO! Then, to make matters worse, they suddenly dropped the fully-vegan Breakfast Shawarmup and replaced it with a "real" egg, dairy, and meat breakfast item. Ironically, this was at the height of of the egg shortage due to bird flu. Like… make it make sense, Disney. Anyway, the one cart in the main court of Avengers Campus does still offer the Impossible™ Victory Falafel for lunch or dinner, so I guess there's that. PREVIOUS REVIEW: It’s not clear in this listing, but just so everyone knows: there are TWO Shawarma Palace carts in Avengers Campus. One is located just past the main entrance to the campus, near the other restaurants in the quad area. The other one, called “Shawarma Palace Too: At Hyperion” is located near the secondary entrance to the campus coming from Hollywood Land. I’ll post photos. It’s a bummer that neither cart accepts mobile orders. It’s one of the few quick food places in DCA that forces you to do walk up. The main reason this bums me out is that the breakfast menu stops 11 am but they usually seem to run out of the Impossible™ Breakfast Sha-warm-up before 10:30, sometimes earlier. Sometimes we have to rush from one cart to the other in a desperate search for 2 breakfast shawarmas! I say “desperate” because this is our fave breakfast option in the whole resort, both parks included. It’s embarrassing how many selfies I’ve taken with the Breakfast Shawarmup. As for the post-breakfast option, the Impossible™ Victory Falafel. It’s just alright. Like others have said here, it’s not the best plant based menu option in DCA by any stretch. We tried it once just to see what it’s like. There were barely any of the pickled veggies and it feels like it would be vastly improved with fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, maybe some fresh parsley. “I haven't had too many shawarmas in my life but this was so good. It didn't have too many ingredients but it was tasty! The chicken was soft and it was really good in the soft pita. I had to get one the next day somewhere else just because of it lol“

“Making the most out of this Covid-19 situation for pick-up. Order was secure, exact, and made fresh. They were backed up as when I first got there they were a little short staffed as The Friday Dinner rush was starting, but they kept their cool, their extra hand showed up, and they did well. Just make yourself visible so they got your name assuming you pre-ordered for pick-up. The short wait will not disappoint. And they definitely didn't forget my white sauce - always my biggest fear as it's truly the essence of this place!“

The gyro plate is out of this world! Everything is so fresh and their tzatziki is scrumptious! I always eat an entire order of grape leaves myself! YUM!
