“Hey! Just wanted to share that we tried Nick the Greek in Daly City, and it was amazing. The souvlaki plates and Gyro bowl were incredibly delicious. The staff is super friendly. It reminded me of the authentic taste from Greece. Check it out if you get a chance!“
“Fabulous lunch with great food, service and atmosphere. Tzaziki with fresh bread and chicken souvlaki were delicious. Impeccable, friendly service with attentive free drink refill. Interior with large fireplace with comfortable seating and warm, well lit atmosphere. The great reviews are fully justified, even lunch prices were very fair. Bravo“
“We used to eat dinner here on our way to Davies Symphony Hall 15 years ago. We moved away and just came back this week for a mini vacation. We took a chance today and it was as delicious as ever. We had the chicken kebab plate and the lamb kebab plate and 2 cans of soda for $48. What a bargain. The food is fresh, healthy and plentiful. The flavors are wonderful and the service is very good. It’s clean and neat inside—truly a little gem.“
“Fantastic Sunday brunch. Was able snag the small area outside for a party of four. Service was swift and food was excellent. A very filling meal for a reasonable price.Dishes were delicious. Maybe the burgers/sliders could use a tad more salt/seasoning but they are indeed juicy and never dry in my experience.Get any type of potatoes and they’ll be prepared to perfection. And the desert/treat dishes were a nice finish. Kunefe with some salted caramel gelato is a wonderful combo.“
“Oh wow! This place was great. The gentlemen works were very helpful, considerate, and polite. Seemed like they really appreciated my business and enjoyed sharing their food with me. On top of that.. Food was delish! Establishment was clean. Very impressed and much appreciated.“
“The best way to cap off a not do fun day of travel was dinner with these three! Even with the changing meet up times, they were all gracious and flexible enough to make it happen and I couldn’t have been happier to break bread with one of my oldest friends, aka The Captain, his wife, and one of the earliest friends I made in the Chicagoland area…and it didn’t hurt that the food was amazing! I’d probably walked past this place several times during my previous visits to Burlingame but never eaten there…my loss!“
“Great experience with Greek-inspired bowls. The meats in a salad bowl keeps things "light".This location can get pretty crowded and the chairs can be difficult to pull in/out. Squeezing between chairs can be tricky.Neighborhood was fun and felt safe here (early evening).“
“This is a neigborhood restaurant with a lot of charm and delicious food. Because of its cosiness, noise level can sometimes be a little much. That's why we always go to dinner no later than 6 pm. Then is it fine. The only reason I gave this experience a 4 star instead of a 5 star is that our bread pudding was not warmed enough and tasted a little stale. That has never been the case before.“
“We love Ivory and Vine. Hassan is an amazing host, tirelessly running around taking care of everyone! The food is really wonderful as well. The house red is fantastic, and the pour you get is plentiful!! And then, of course, the music is varied and great. Only complaint is it can be at times too loud, but then there are the outside seats (with heaters). A really fantastic place to spend an evening!!!“
“Top neighborhood gem… owner/ chef makes healthy fresh Salmon, lamb and chicken Mediterranean dinners with organic veggies and farro or rice… served in a cozy, not overly fancy spot with white tablecloths and a good wine list. Affordable! Best bargain in North Beach. Have the tiramisu for dessert!!“
“March 2023: This gem of a place is still here, post pandemic (if there is such a thing), and their service and food is top notch! Please drop by and show some love, chicken salad comes with a lot of protein and is fairly priced for the area.Old review: I had a hunkering for Mediterranean-style cooked meat and fries. This place hit that spot.Located in FIDI on Battery (between Pine and Battery/Bush intersection). Went at noon and the place was busy but not overwhelmingly so. Slight wait for my food after ordering but that's expected at noon.Food was good and reasonably priced. Ordered the Greek plate with chicken. Came with a bunch of fries, meat, a big dollop of tzhiki (sp?) sauce and some pita bread. It was good.I'll be back to try a salad next time. 3.6 stars that rounds up to 4 stars for the service.“
“This place was fine. We were able to make a reservation which is nice. The staff was friendly if not super attentive (we had to ask for the check). The food was good and came quickly. We ordered the Kale salad which was quite good and a good sharing size. We also got the dolmades which were just average (not bad, but not a lot of flavor). For our main meal we ordered the mixed grill which was a nice size to share. Everything was cooked fine (the chicken was a little 'over') it just lacked flavor overall. No idea if they have desserts because we weren't offered any and then we had to ask for the check and head out to our show. The atmosphere was good (if a little dark), the food was fine, and the prices were decent. If someone suggested we go there again I'd be fine with that, but I probably wouldn't recommend it since there are so many other options to try in SF (or even just on Polk street).“
“Our experience was marred because of a large table of very loud young men. It was difficult to have a conversation. I wish people would be more considerate, and realize that there are other people in a restaurant. Otherwise, the food and service was very good. I have been coming to this restaurant for years and was happy to see some new choices on the menu. “
“Living in the Sierra foothills, I don't get much opportunity for Mediterranean food so was craving it this SF evening. When I walked into NB Gyros, I smelled that unmistakable but unfortettable aroma of grilled meat so I ordered their grill sampler. I also ordered an appetizer of baba ganoush and a cold Stella Artois. The baba ganoush arrived quickly and I devoured it. I'm no expert but this was so delicious and I wanted more. Next, the grilled sampler came and I was amazed at how much food was included. There were two varieties of chicken, beef, kofte, and lamb, rice, salad and pita. All the meats were flavorful and had that delicious char I was looking for. The chicken was a little overcooked and dry but still delicious. I couldn't finish this big platter so was offered a take-away box, which I gladly accepted.I know I'll return because the service was fast and friendly, the atmosphere was open and welcoming and the food was delicious!“
“The food is pretty average (I usually get the lamb wrap and it feels pretty healthy, but sometimes a bit dry)... but that baklava froyo is to-die for. It's fast Mediterranean, so you order at the counter and get your food quick -- but there's also only a few options on the menu. I've been to multiple Souvla locations (Mission, Hayes, Marina) and the quality has been pretty consistent across shops. The inside atmosphere is nice -- clean tables, self-serve water, usually not super packed and easy to find a seat. All in all a good casual spot when you're looking to grab something quick either alone or with friends“
“Used to go here every 1-2 months when I worked nearby. Always got the lunch special with the free soda. I preferred the chicken shawarma and fries (sometimes a salad). I miss this place so much (no longer live in Cali) but will go again next time I visit.“
“This place is beyond CHIC!!! What a beautiful restaurant. Fabulous food—truly nothing disappointed. Very helpful service too, from menu recommendations to guidance for wine. We had an off-menu bottle of Gamay, and we polished it off easily. Can’t wait to be back!“
“Was walking by and decided to try it. The server could have been a little more friendly. Or helped me decide on what to order. I ordered a combo plate lamb and beef gyros, and it came with rice salad and pita bread.Atmosphere would have been better if there was a screaming child.Other than that, I will recommend.“
“I was recommended to try a Mediterranean restaurant of a very similar name. Did not read carefully and ended up here. Was not disappointed at all. Friendly and quick service. Delicious food, good portions. We tried the dolmas, chicken gyro and lamb and beef gyro. Clean and bright space. Mother gave an A+ for clean bathroom. Worth a save for repeat visit!“
“The staff here is extremely accommodating and friendly! I had a booth for the Crystal Fair held in the Country Fair building across the street.Park Gyros came and took orders for all of the vendors and hand delivered them! They were very friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond for us!Not to mention the food was delicious. Day 1 of the fair I had a chicken wrap that was bursting with flavor.Day 2 I had the medit. Combo plate! Highly recommend both of these dishes.Huge shout out to Veysel for his huge heart and for the delivery of our lunches!!I wasn't able to catch the name of the gentleman who delivered our lunch on day 1 but he was also incredible!“
“My husband and I ordered Cigarette pastry for starters and Mediterranean combo for main course. It was filling for the two of us. And the service was very good too. We will be visiting again.Parking: We parked in front of the Burlingame High School and walked to the restaurant.“
“Detroit style pizza is great. They make amazing cheese. During baking, the cheese melts completely into the pizza, and then it becomes chewy and delicious. For those who haven't tried it, don't hesitate and definitely try it. This is very excellent.“
“WOWW..... omgggg !!! This is seriously the BEST GREEK FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD beats nick the Greek by far. I accidentally stumbled upon this place nestled in San Francisco and I'm so happy I stopped here. I'm really extremely picky anyone that knows me and have severe food allergies so a lot of times food is so disappointing to me but ... YOU HAVE TO COME HERE! You will not be disappointed“
“Ordered the Chicken Gyro Wrap to go. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the large portion, particularly for the price I paid - particularly for downtown SF! Friendly service and the restaurant was clean as well. Recommended!Wheelchair accessibility: I thought it was great to see they had a wheelchair-accessible sign and table available.“
“I have seen this place but only until yesterday I realized they sell soft serve, it was nice out, perfect for something cold. I ordered the cherry topping which I really enjoyed, I think it had the perfect balance of sweetness without being overpowering which I think it's the issue with many regular ice creams, I just wish they had sizes, because it's a one size fits all and I couldn't finished it all, it's very fulfilling.Loved the decor, and ambiance of the place, the service was great, I'm looking forward to try their wines and their menu, their bowls look really good .“
“Maybe I just don't like lamb? I don't like their sandwich, these ingredients make more sense in a salad. Chicken was bland too and their sauce is bland so nothing stands out as a reason to come back. Honestly go to Nick the Greek and compare.“
“I love this tiny delicious place. I found it when I attended the San Francisco Paramedic Association that used to be on Mission. The gyros and fries are amazing. I dont get to the city often as of late but Im so glad Ayola survived through the pandemic. So good!“
“Super nice staff. First time here at Spark Social after missing my rowing class across the street. Seriously who locks their doors before class starts with lights off and leaves just their dog roaming in the lobby? Ordered at the tablet but I also see some people paying with tickets, not sure where they bought the tickets and whether it is a better deal. Got the combo plate $18 which is a great deal for a huge amount of food -soft pita, well-seasoned chicken and beef shavings, salad, fluffy rice, and plump fries plus a side of hummus. Everything was so good and satisfied my halal craving. If it is not so difficult to get to this part of town, I'd be back on the regular.“
“I enjoyed Oasis Mediterranean Grill's overall low-key vibe. The falafel was a delight, both delicious and generously portioned. While the atmosphere may be basic with bright lighting and simple decor, the friendly staff made the experience pleasant. I'd definitely return for the fantastic food, though the atmosphere was not be a highlight for me.“
“My go to place. Literally down to go here anytime all the time. It’s healthy, tasty, and comfy. Everything is good but I’ve made it a traditional to eat the fries dipped in their olive oil yoghurt. Dine in sitting inside is a bit lame/sterile but the back patio is lovely and even cozier on chillier nights with maybe a glass of wine. Service is always friendly and fast.“
“EXCELLENT food!!! I was craving a kebab and stumbled onto this place. I got the sampler with a chicken and lamb kebab. I was floored by the baba ghanouj and falafel. Wonderful flavor and perfect crunch in the falafel. I think I’ve found my new favorite restaurant!!“
“Experience the charm of this unassuming small private restaurant, where generous portions of mouthwatering Mediterranean cuisine are served at an affordable price. Enjoy a glass of wine with a generous pour, all at a reasonable cost. Don't just take my word for it - come and discover the delight for yourself!Vegetarian options: Come and see yourself.Dietary restrictions: I am not sure about this...“
“Despite walking by several times in the past, I never paid attention to this place until seeing their other locations in the State. I finally decided to try it. Greek food is similar to Mediterranean food. We got the souvlaki chicken pita wrap and the beef teki (ground beef kabob) bowl. The wrap had fries, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and sauce in it and was surprisingly good. The bowl had yellow rice, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, sauce and was tasty as well. The bowl was more substantial than the souvlaki which was more of a light meal. Though, they did mention the souvlaki had a combo meal option. With an extra side of fries, it would have been filling and great. For dessert we had the frozen yogurt with baklava and honey. They do the yogurt right as it's tart yet sweet. Very good. The baklava and honey is even sweeter so overpowers the yogurt. Glad I tried it but I'd rather have these on their own. Next round will opt for yogurt only.Order at the counter and they bring you your food. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is available as they are located in the Westlake strip mall. The bathroom was dirtied by customers and wasn't cleaned. Puddle on floor by toilet. Sticky doors. Minus 1/2 a star for that, 3.5.“
