We spoke to a gentleman about the last minute issue and he was more than willing to accommodate us to get an order out on a 48 hour notice - I am so so so grateful

So we ordered a greek salad with feta which arrived very fresh and it was delicious!! We had a charcuterie type tray along with the 3-cheese pasta. “I can't say enough about Basilico Italian Catering. They did the most amazing job at my wedding. Context: I used to cater society weddings in Washington DC (senators' kids, etc) and my catering captain who taught me everything was at my wedding. We were both very impressed with the professionalism, the food, the staff; Basilico nailed it from start to finish. Manny is passionate about food and it shows, the staff was so attentive and CARING - I can't think of another word. “Been a customer of this store since the opening many years ago. Visit it at least once a month, sometimes more often. The only place we order food for New Year's celebration, became a family tradition. Was sad to see original owners sold this store but happy to report that new owner not only continues delivering phenomenal food items but invested to make store larger, more open, more attractive. Always, always recommend it to friends, our go to place that never disappoints.“

Fiancee had wagyu burger, excellent. I had the combo plate…brisket a tad dry, fried chicken very good, corn bread muffin & cole slaw great. Extensive wine list, top labels. We shared a flight and each had a glass of bubbly. Portion size good … I had leftovers for breakfast. Server Jeff casual but on the ball with advice. Menu somewhat limited, especially for vegans.“

Very good tacos. You really get snack tacos size. Don't underestimate the size, you will get full. I believe 6 would be plenty enough. You will definitely need a soda or drink to wash it down. Very satisfying. However, for $1 and snack tacos seems expensive. I suppose that's inflation as everybody puts it. Either way, very good and nice selections of other taco Tuesday selection.“

“Real, honest BBQ. I had the 2 meat combo with brisket, ribs, mac & cheese and potato salad. Best BBQ I have had since I was in Austin Texas! The owner was working hard with the rest of his employees and was the one to take my order. He seemed very nice and was helpful. I work within walking distance so I can see myself becoming a regular here. Canyons is an excellent addition to Castro Valley's food scene.“

I got stuck in this commercial cesspool for four and a half hours and wandered around for 3 of them trying to find decent food worth the price or some store that wasn't marked up for garbage. No dice. Finally found this place tucked away, so thankful. Had a couple drinks and chatted with old locals. Definitely support this place. In general I'll be avoiding the area but if I ever find myself there again I'll definitely go in for a drink and to get a brake from the depressing retail area outside.“
