“Love the salmon and my new fav is the dynamite shrimp bowl!! Rice cooked perfectly, shrimp are perfectly cooked and just the right spicyness and bright flavors to perk it up! Delicious! My dad in law LOVES the fish and chips! Says one of the best ever and he’s in his 80’s and from the south so must be good ! Lol 😊 only bad thing to say is the parking in the center it’s in is awful! “Mai Thai is our go-to for Thai food. We chose it over Naung Mai in Oak Harbor initially because of the price difference, but the portions are bigger and there's more of your chosen meat/protein in the soups and entrees. That said- be aware you have to LIKE SPICE. Recently it has been difficult to get "spice 1", which should just be a hint. If you say "no spice", it's OK, but not Thai, right? But if there's a difference between 1 and 4, I can't tell. Our Pho soup tonight (spice 1) was burning our throats. The pad thai was OK at spice 1, but still quite a bit spicier than I would assume 1 would be. This is a new development for this restaurant, so it is probably a new chef. Just BE AWARE. Anyway, most people complain the food in the PNW is too bland, so you won't have that problem, at least! And as far as ordering, we use the online app. Add five mins to the time it says your pick up is ready. It is never ready. Door Dashers use this place constantly, and they clog the order process. There is indoor dining, but we have never used it, thanks to Covid protocols. Also- a final word on parking. The parking lot has been sectioned off from looping through the driver's ed school next door. Therefore the lot is super tough to turn and get out. You are better off parking along the strip by the salon to the left of the restaurant and walking up. Please be careful in this area of town at night.“

“I stayed here while traveling for work. On the day my plane landed, I didn't get to the restaurant until 9:30 (they close at 10:00!) and I felt so guilty ordering food so late. But the bartender, Rafael, was so kind and attentive. He made me feel very welcome.

I am a vegetarian, so I got the veggie wrap with french fries. The french fries were crispy, and the veggies in the wrap were crunchy and fresh. The wrap and the fries were both huge, generous portions, which was great!

After flying home, I realized I forgot my receipt. I contacted this restaurant and Rafael went out of his way to send me a copy for my expense report. THANK YOU RAFAEL YOU ROCK!!!“

“Delicious and fresh rolls. They are the perfect size! Some places make the pieces way too big and filled with rice.

Both women who helped me were very attentive and caring. Checked on me during my meal and whited I had everything I needed.

“Absolutely amazing food! I ordered the oxtails with rice and gravy, yams, mac and cheese, greens, cornbread, and fried red snapper. I can honestly say the oxtails were the best I’ve ever had from a restaurant! They were incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The rice and gravy were just as good and complemented the oxtails perfectly.

The cornbread was another standout. It was absolutely delicious! Everything was full of flavor, and you can tell they put real effort into their cooking. The portions were generous, and the food tasted like a good home-cooked Southern meal.

I don’t usually go out of my way to leave reviews, but this place definitely deserves one. If you’re thinking about trying the oxtails, do yourself a favor and order them! I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“We really enjoyed our experience at LuLu's. I got the impression this is a place alot of locals go to which makes it more special in my eyes. We split the Golden Beet and Citrus Salad which the kitchen was nice enough to split it for us, giving each of us our own serving. My husband had the grilled octopus. He's hard to please and he said it was very good. I had the lobster tortelloni. The sauce was light with a hint of sweetness and the the tortelloni was stuffed with lobster meat. Execellent. Then came dessert. We had a slice of Key Lime pie and I can honestly say it was the best I have ever had. Even better then Key West Key Lime pie. Dense but creamy with just the right amount of key lime flavor. Not overpowering. Can't wait to go back when we visit HHI again.“

I've been here for their lunch special a half-dozen times over the past year, and it's been consistently excellent. Great price for the amount of food, and every entree I have ordered has been great, especially the spicy eggplant with tofu. The portions are very generous too - my wife and I always end up bringing home leftovers.

My family and I often order takeout for dinner here as well, and again, have never been disappointed. Everything is exceptionally fresh - the veggie and seafood options are my favorites.“

While most restaurants have been increasing prices and skimping on ingredients my dish was reasonably priced and delicious with a perfect sized piece of chicken, prosciutto. I was disappointed the bread and caponata sauce was an additional $6.00 but I guess that is what keeps the other dish prices down. A great place to treat yourself to a wonderful meal.“
