“It’s our annual place to be every August for the last 17 years: celebrating 50 years of marriage! The food, service and atmosphere right on the beach is heavenly. Our bartender Steve congratulated us and we talked for a short time. Everyone is so friendly, can’t beat the quality of their meals ! We drive out from Phoenix to have their specialty. “The pastries here are out of this world! All of the ingredients are imported from France, which makes a huge difference because it’s less sugar and better quality than American ingredients. The seasonal menu is wonderful. I got the caramel apple butter chai iced latte and a pumpkin spice cinnamon roll as well as some cakes. Really recommend the chai I got. It’s my new favorite drink I’m obsessed. The staff are very kind and knowledgeable. They take pride in their food and take care of the space. They were super friendly and helpful. Everything is baked fresh daily and flavors for the rolled and cubed croissants change everyday, so you never know what you will get, but it’s guaranteed delicious. They are known for their rolled, square, and filled croissants, so be sure to try those. The chocolate croissants are excellent. Literally everything is so good you can’t go wrong. The cakes are life changing incredible. I recommend everyone try at least one. Some are gluten free so just ask. My favorites are le nuage, guava strawberry, le royal, vanilla bean tart, blackberry earl grey, mango passion fruit, the list goes on… They also have a whole wall of products from France and Europe. They even have Swedish candy! I got the Nina’s Marie Antoinette tea and Swedish candy and they were both so delicious. Love this place.”

“We have been looking for a place that served tasty Acai Bowls…Our favorite Acai bowl places either, closed down, burned down or changed the way they made their Acai bowls…We found Liquid Bean Café on the internet and decided to give it a try…Well, we both had the Acai bowls but I added an Egg Salad Sandwich pressed in a Panini press to our order…The Acai Bowls were fresh and totally delicious!!!…I really liked the Egg Salad Sandwich and loved the way it was pressed and toasted in the Panini press…We highly recommend Liquid Bean Café if you are ever in the Del Mar area…We will definitely be back again!!!…Five Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“I like the cookies. But the last time I went to Crumbl, we walked in and waited for six minutes. The worker in the store totally ignored us. Finally, we tried the self-checkout, but the credit card reader wasn’t working. So we waited for five more minutes. She still ignored us. Finally, we got her attention, and we had to enter the credit card number manually.

I only gave it four stars because the worker could tell we were upset, so she gave us a free cookie. Also, $5.50 for one cookie?!”

Many of the taco shops in the area are super overpriced and will give you a tiny burrito. Not this one. It's an honest taco shop and feels almost nostalgic since so few of these places exist in the area.”

Great vegetable crudités that looks like you are pulling vegies out of a garden but taste delicious (just don’t eat the stems, they are a little bitter) ? “I wasn't expecting much out of a hotel cafe but I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the breakfast was here. I had avocado toast with two sunny side up eggs on top. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and I find most sunny side up eggs to be cooked with too much runny white albumin. This was not the case, the edges were crispy and the yolk was still medium. I also tried some of my friend's red potatoes and they were such a highlight. Cooked soft in the middle and crispy on the outside with salt and rosemary. They were exceptional. I also want to give a shout out for the service, the woman who was running the register was friendly and helpful.”

“I understand mistakes happen. I usually eat at this restaurant once a week after my late shift around 2/3 a.m. I noticed the quality of food got really bad. My meal was simple—a single patty cheeseburger with nothing on it. The first mess-up was the fries—they were burnt. Then the second mess-up: a burnt burger. Like, crispy burnt. Then my last and final straw—they served me a moldy burger that I thought was flour. Even my friends saw it and agreed after I sent them a picture. I ended up in the hospital. I called the manager, and he didn’t even offer a refund—said I was lying. I told him I’d send proof, and then he said no and hung up in my face. Not only is the manager rude and disrespectful, he cares little for his kitchen’s mistakes—and it cost me a day in the hospital. Cost me the only day I have with my son. All because his chefs are lazy and don’t care what they serve.”

“We had an amazing stay at L'Auberge Del Mar. The hotel was stunning—beautifully updated with modern finishes and stylish furnishings. Our room was exceptional, featuring an incredibly comfortable bed, luxurious bedding, a marble bathroom, and a breathtaking ocean view from the balcony. The hot tub was a perfect temperature for the cool May evening. On Saturday night, there was a gorgeous wedding on the rooftop, and we enjoyed listening to the music from the hot tub. It wrapped up around 10:30 p.m., allowing for a peaceful and restful night’s sleep. The staff was extremely courteous, and the valet service was top-notch. We will absolutely return to this beautiful hotel and highly recommend it to anyone considering a stay—don’t hesitate to book your room!”
