“The top sections on the menu are 100% plant based, and the second half has meat options. It sounds like they used to be fully vegan, so it’s disappointing they added meat to the menu. I enjoyed the Munchwrap and the smash burger was pretty good. Next time I hope to try the flatbread—they currently have one plant based flatbread on the menu.“

“My sister and I were craving Japanese food, so she suggested Kumi Sushi Grill. I ordered a bento box with chicken teriyaki, yellowtail sashimi, and mixed tempura. My sister also got the chicken teriyaki bento box with mixed tempura, and fried gyoza. The Bento boxes come with miso soup and we also ordered Green Tea.
All I can say is everything was excellent. They give you 3 big pieces of yellowtail sashimi that melted like butter and their tempura was awesome.The portion sizes are huge. We should split a box. You can swe hiw much food my sister had in her to-go box. Mine was just as much food but not as pretty. I highly recommend this place.“

“Took over as my favorite pizza place in SD. Just exudes laid back fun and cool. Like 10 high school kids running around working hard and being friendly, and couldn't tell who could possibly be in charge, but it was totally working! And Hazy IPA was great.“

The beer is some of the best i’ve had in my life, my desert-island beer lives on the board, Drink this or the Bees Die

Being gluten-free makes the beer healthier for me, less pain in my joints, no bloating, & tastes amazing.

“My husband and I have been here for the very first time and we immediately fell in love with this place. The staff is amazing, they know how to treat you and make you feel at home. Alice is very passionate about her job and we loved her homemade desserts sooo much. A special mention to Michele, a very young yet extremely professional waiter, who contributed to create a cozy and pleasant atmosphere! “Visited for a special event dinner with Epoch winery from Paso Robles. The owner of the store was exceedingly gracious and friendly and the event was a great success. The store has a pretty wide range of wine offerings as well as local craft beers, with several exclusive/harder to get wines as well as more mainstream options. The store is admittedly "Paso-centric" in their overall portfolio, but the prices are consistent with what you would see at the wineries. They also have cheeses for sale at the front counter.“

“Solana Beach Kitchen was amazing. Each dish was spectacular. Loved the Surf & Turf Nachos, the Calamari was the best I have ever had. The Mac n Cheese with brisket was a recommendation from the fabulous Tracy and it was incredibly delicious. Everything was so good that we returned the next night!! Highly recommend SB Kitchen.“

“It’s been a while since I’ve visited a Board & Brew location, but I came by this one in the UTC mall yesterday with my brother. I had a Turkey club and it was pretty solid—everything tasted fresh and there was a reasonable amount of meat. The secret sauce they give on the side kind of reminds me of a tangier, thinner-bodied In-N-Out spread. Wait time wasn’t bad, although the store was busy, and it was also fairly clean inside. Overall a decent spot for a decent sandwich, but nothing to shout about necessarily.“

“Pelicana Chicken was a great takeout option experience. I first visited this location and used the kiosk to decide on what to order. But my friend and I had a lot of questions, so we asked the staff a lot of them. She was very nice and explained the differences and gave her recommendations.

We decided to get the signature chicken with sauces on the side. We got the original and honey mustard. We also got an order of the corn cheese. It didn’t take long for us to get our order and leave. However, when we got home, we noticed the radish was missing.

Overall, the food was really great. The signature sauce was better than the honey mustard. The service was fast and quick. We went on a Saturday around 4:30 pm and it wasn’t very busy. But the plaza parking was crowded. They do accept American Express at the kiosk.“

Wifi, TVs and indoor outdoor space make it ideal for people watching or mingling. “We ordered carne asada burrito, Buffalo wings and chicken flautas. They were all tasty. The carne asada was very meaty but a bit tough for me. Wings were a bit small but flavorful.

I have never seen chicken flautas look like short fat egg rolls before. Deep fried flour tortilla gave it a nice crispness except there was very little chicken inside. Still very good and interesting. I especially love that they had lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole on side. Very rare do you see this combo of topping.

Inside is divided by the bar area and dining area. Looks like a hip place to be after work.“

“Our group of 5 had fun at Forbidden Cove. The service was fantastic, and all our servers seemed genuinely dedicated to us having a great experience. Decor and black light effects made it extra secret. I love the whole speakeasy idea. Food: Two of us had Spam tacos (mine were Luau), with Mac Salad and Cucumber, which were really tasty. Two diners had the Poke tower and they were delicious as well. One ordered pork sliders, and he thought they were very tasty and satisfying. Drinks were all very good, a bit heavy on the ice if there was a criticism. Great time was had by all!“
