“This is a great place to taste wine from all over the world. The sommelier’s are really knowledgeable without being elitist and make you feel right at home in the cozy space.”

“Perfect nightcap spot. Right inside the Lodge with big windows looking out over the 18th green and Carmel Bay we got there before sunset, grabbed cocktails, and watched the sky change color over the water. Cozy old-school lounge feel, fireplace going, and there was live music in the evening which made it even better. Drinks were excellent and the service was polished without being stiff. It's more of a relax-and-sip spot than a rowdy bar the Tap Room is for that this is where you land after dinner to stretch the night out a little longer. Ended two of our three nights here and regretted nothing. Don't skip it.”

“This must be the best sushi I have eaten in California in a really long time. The fish is extremely fresh, and the portions are generous. They focus on the fish and not the amount of rice. All the seasoning is so on point, and they keep it real without adding a ton of sauces or other distractions. I would come back any time when I'm in town. It can get busy during dinnertime, so either make a reservation or be prepared to wait for a little bit. They do offer outdoor seating.”

The attention to detail in each dish clearly showed the tremendous passion of the staff in the kitchen. Truly an incredible 4 course meal and I highly recommend it for any special occasion. “Our visit to Stoke's Adobe last weekend produced the best meal I've had on The Peninsula in a decade! Restauranteur, Sarah Orr, has hit one out of the park. The dishes prepared by Executive Chef, Bryce Hansen, were flawless, my favorties being the seared scallops and truffle chicken. Loved the nod to former occupant and socialite, Hattie Gragg, with the inclusion of the Hattie's Old Fashioned on the cocktail menu :) Looking forward to our next visit and an opportunity to sample other items on their ever evolving menu.”

“This was the best restaurant I never ate in. Lemme explain. My superwonderul-one-in-a-million friend is in Monterey visiting her sister and bro-in-law there. (Actually they live in Chico, CA but they drove down to Monterey for the weekend.) So, says I, "Why not try Sardine Factory? (I live in Albuquerque, but hey, Diana is my superwonderul-one-in-a-million friend...oops, I already said that... and she is in CA, visiting from Albuquerque). So I called Sardine Factory and spoke to Mary and she took my credit card number and the rest is history. THANK YOU MARY! Diana, my friend, said it was a "10." "Staff was fantatic."in the Conservatory. "The waiter tied a bib" on her. The best meal I ever had... from 1,00 miles away. Mary, you are the sweetest person in the world! But Diana loved it, and that what matters the most. Oh, she had cioppino (see photo) and her sister had "delicious" seafood pasta and her bro in law had sea bass ("very good"). So Mary, and Sardine Factory, you made people very happy this evening. But that is what you do. God bless.”

We actually ordered another one from another bakery as insurance and Parker Lusseau’s was the top taste favorite by all of us. “Simply delicious—the flavor and variety of the pizzas are spectacular. The crust is thin and delicious, just like in Italy. I highly recommend the garlic bread; it’s like a slice of heaven. Plus, they offer gluten-free pizzas, which meant my nephew visiting from Argentina could eat happily. We really enjoyed dining here with my family from Argentina; it is highly recommended and a place to return to again and again whenever you visit Carmel.”

“I first visited this amazing local deli in 1989-1990. I remembered the half loaves of bread stacked high with a pile of my choice of meats and cheeses. Although I was only 18-19, Compagno’s established my standard for an amazing sandwich. 32 years later I brought my sons here for lunch. Same delicious goodness a generation later.”

“Ordered 3 sushi rolls and the chicken teriyaki entree. Food was definitely delicious and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service can be significantly improved!! Each time we had to call the server to our table if we needed something. Made it a challenge to add more meals to the order if desired.

The agua de tamarindo was a little too sweet but everything else was wonderful! We had combo #2 & 3 and enmoladas! We also tried the empanaditas! Took my non vegan family members and they loved it!
