“Had appetizers, and drinks at the bar. It was packed, but service did not waver. When evrryone in our party had arrived, we asked to move into the dining room. After closing out our tab, we were graciously moved into the dining room where we ordered the deviled eggs and pondered which bottle of wine we would drink. We arrived around 4 and spent the time catching up, eating, drinking, and enjoying the atmosphere till about 8 p.m. We didn't get rushed along nor did we get any sideway glances for being at the table so long. The places was a great place to spend time with family and relax after a week of working.

Vegetarian options: There is enough options here to make a meal. Salads, baked potatoes, and a jalapeño popper type dish that can be vegetarian if request the bacon kept off the dish. They offer broccolini, cauliflower, and other fried vegetables. These looked very good as they passed by our table to others ables around us.“

“Yesterday, I discovered a hidden treasure in San Dimas - Sweet Savory Cafe. This cafe is known for its delicious cookies that sell out quickly. They offer a variety of international flavors, including Cuban sandwiches, salads, soups, freshly made bread, empanadas, and other bakery items. Some items are not listed on the menu, so you can ask for the Chef's Daily Special. I always look for clean and relaxing cafes where my family can eat, or I can simply sit and enjoy a book. My experience at Sweet Savory Cafe surpassed my experiences at other cafes in Pasadena, Claremont, and Upland. I arrived early and enjoyed warm cookies and bread, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered various items including coffee, soup, breakfast, and bakery items. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found the coffee to be delicious and memorable. I also tried their Healthy Breakfast Burrito with added bacon, which was customizable and very filling. The Lentil soup had an amazing aroma and taste. I can't believe I didn't know about this cafe before, especially since I work in the city! For those new to the cafe, you can order through Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, and DoorDash. They even have Keto-friendly San Dimas Barbershop Tacos! There is parking available in the front and back, and plenty of seating inside and outside. If you have a large party, they can accommodate you by pushing tables together. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a wonderful place to read a book or enjoy a meal with family. They also offer freshly made orange juice, and all their sandwiches are made with their own bread. I tried a new flavor of Sweet & Savory bread and found it to be very delicious. I added cream cheese to it yesterday and tried it with butter today. This is definitely my new go-to place for food. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cafe and the fact that it's open early on for breakfast including Saturday and Sunday. I was even able to order all these items on a Saturday at 7AM. “It was awesome that it was open late, very busy even then. Fun crowd, lively bar, and patrons. My vegetarian burger tasted so good, almost as if it was off the grill. The waitress was attentive and double-checked for food allergies before serving walnut pesto. Afterward, the bartender on duty broke a glass, and the room fell silent; then everyone laughed and cheered on! ?

It was a euphoric experience eating The Wild Artichoke’s mussel appetizer selection consisting of the juicy mollusk simmered in delicious a white wine sauce. And it was similarly satisfying to partake in the rich and fresh squid ink lobster pasta.

You don’t often expect to encounter a Michelin-level restaurant (nonetheless an affordable one) out of happenstance, but when the opportunity arises, the experience is truly something to behold. Restaurants like The Wild Artichoke stand the test of time when curious foot traffickers become adoring regulars because of the culinary genius and intentional service that lies at the foundation of the establishment.

“My husband, my 17- month- old, and I love to come for dinner frequently. On the weekends they tend to have live music and the drinks and food are always delicious. Last night my 17 month old was very excited and screaming with joy occasionally.

Our server was absolutely the best. She was patient, kind and professional. She assisted us with moving my son outside as we did not want to impede on anyone’s dinner indoors. She was very thoughtful and mentioned the spicy ingredients that were in the food we ordered so that my son would be able to eat them. She even brought out non spicy corn bread without us asking. She made our dinner so enjoyable. We will absolutely be coming back.“

“The service here was top-tier. Everyone is super friendly and it looks like a fun work environment because everyone actually looked happy ? we reserved a table outside for our +1 pup that was with us and when we arrived they had a water bowl and a dog menu for him- such a cute touch!
The food was amazing- a pastrami sandwich for me, the carnitas egg Benedict for my boyfriend and the beef and egg bowl for the pups, with a side of peanut butter of course! The food arrived FAST. Under 10 minutes to receive it- it was hot, great portions, fresh and amazing flavor!
The michelada mix was good too- something I have found is hard to come by when eating out. The boyfriend had the Irish coffee which he also enjoyed.
Overall great experience. It was a bit pricey at $90 for our meals, the 2 drinks and tip included but you definitely get what you pay for! 10/10 would recommend. Thank you VR!“

“Came here on a Saturday evening. There were other families there, but it definitely wasn't crowded. Plenty of tables and plenty of space for the kiddos in the play area. Our group had kids aged 2 up to 5 years and they all seemed to have a blast. Ours was the youngest, and he enjoyed running from toy to toy, riding the little merry go round and train, and especially coming down the slide. The kids also got balloon animals. It's $9 for 2 hours for the kids, and $2 for each 30 min. thereafter. Adults are free as long as you order food. We had a mix of Italian and Korean food, and it was actually pretty good. The place is very clean, and they do provide slippers if you like. (You have to leave your shoes in an unlocked locker at the entrance, and everyone needs socks.) Attendants go around the play area once in a while and put toys and things back in tidy places. A sign says you're supposed to supervise your child in the play area, but I sometimes saw parents of older kids not really paying attention. There weren't any mishaps. There are some split screen monitors over in the dining area. Parking is free and validated in the mall/HMart structure. Enter on Manhattan Place, and go straight and up (left and down is for HMart, according to a sign). Merry go round goes off at 15 before and after. Train rides are on the hour. If there's lots of kids, they're sometimes nice enough to run twice. We'll definitely consider returning, even without other families.“

We must have hit the bartender at a bad moment because when we arrived he didn't seem too keen on our arrival. When I asked what beer was new or something he could recommend, he kind of blew me off. Thought it kind of odd. But, he did come around and grew pretty chill as our lunch progressed. Chalk it up to a bad moment that I don't think had anything to do with us. All in all, I like the Rookery; hanging out on the back patio with a microbrew and a sandwich was exactly what I was looking for.“
