“Very comfortable place to be in. Everyone was relaxed and you could hear the staff in the kitchen communicating getting the orders out. They have good lighting, a larger modern menu board with a great selection. They had light hearted music playing and a big tv to watch the Dodger games. I was surprised to see Birria on the menu so had to get that for sure! I think I will may this my goto spot a couple days a week so I can eat better for less and no dishes to wash.“

Asada taco - $2.50 - they are pretty generous with the meat! They’ll give you red and green sauce. You can ask for both!

Shrimp taco - $3.00 - pretty good! Its not shrimp, but more of a shrimp patty? You can taste the pieces of shrimp when you bite into it as well!

Fish taco- $3.00 - theres more batter for fish - luckily the toppings help balance the oil from the fried batter. The size of the fish when i ordered to eat there was big. The one i ordered to-go was smaller. I was a bit disappointed at first but the flavor didn’t change. I asked for sauce to go as well.

Horchata - cant go wrong with it! They have regular or large!

“Seafood paella was slightly over cooked, as it seems they were going for that patina baked look, as it looks great, but was 3/4 rice, green beans, and tomato slivers. The amont of seafood was under portioned, for a $40 dish.

“I was looking for a good taco place and I came across Covyd Tacos on Yelp and decided to try them. Unaware that they were just serving on tables under a shade during the evenings, I gave them a try and ordered asada and cabeza burritos. I became a regular after that night and they practically knew me by name. Their burritos are very delicious and their servings are generous. They also had quesadillas, and a variety of tacos. They also have Al Pastor which is really tasty. They do not accept credit cards but they accept Venmo payments. I now miss their tacos and burritos since I was only in La Puente for 5 weeks but would be their customer again if I go back to La Puente, California again.“

“If you have not had the chance to dine in at Girasol, I highly recommend it. The chicharon with guac is a must as a starter, make sure you get some of the spicy sauce. As for a recommendation for a meal, well you have to come in and try. We loved the chilaquiles, the carne en su juego, the menudo, and the breakfast burrito. If you have a sweeter taste, the French toast, the pancakes and the crepe are awesome. But as mentioned before, you just have to come in and try everything.“

The al pastor tacos are a little sweet for my tastes, so I usually get the suadero and asada. I was craving carne asada, but great carne asada not the bland stuff you find at most places. They city we live in DOES NOT have a single place that satisfies our taco and burritos craving. We found this place by chance and it did not disappoint. Trust the 5 star reviews. They're telling the truth. “If you come to Sergio’s, you HAVE to get a wet burrito. They’re super delicious. Now I will say the cook who’s at the grill tends to matter a lot. Sometimes they have some of the younger crew running the grills and the food just doesn’t have that consistent quality. However, for the most part their wet burritos and Sopes overall are the hitters at Sergio’s. They’re so good. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and I’ll keep coming back. If you’ve tasted Sergio’s on Garfield and Olympic it does not even compare, the Vail location wet burritos are a must try.“
