“Definitely a gem. Had some delicious marinated steak and a Vietnamese coffee that tasted like it had more condensed milk than coffee. The steak sandwich was simple but so unbelievably delicious.

My only note is that the place could use some interior redecorating. The prices are amazing, however.“

“It's a bit of a hole-in-the-wall in a Dublin strip mall which isn't where I'd expect to find a tasty Hainanese Chicken Rice plate and yet its the kind of unasuming place (next to a Ranch 99) that I'd expect a yummy surprise.

It was the latter.

I haven't explored every corner of the Bay Area but it's been a long time since I've had a really satisfying chicken rice. Chicken skin has a really nice chewy texture to it. The fat is well rendered but the meat is just cooked. I'm a little surprised there aren't reviews complaining about undercooked chicken but its just as it should be. Rice was nicely seasoned. Quail eggs and peanuts on the side were a nice addition.

The soup was also a really pleasant surprise. It had a nice silky quality and rich with chicken flavor but they did a really good job of skimming any extra fat to keep it from being oily.

The ginger and scallion was good and traditional but a sweet soy or a chili sauce would have been welcome additions.“

Freshest and yummiest shrimp cake (tau hu ky) ever!!! Fish sauce was p watery, my only real complaint. Otherwise the price and taste makes it a well earned 5/5 stars.

“Hands down the kindest person of this era fed me! I was on my way home to Sacramento after my daily work shift in San Jose, hungry & tired, I decided to check out shihlin. On arrival the kind lady with a beautiful smile prepared the food quickly, it’s was delectable, the macros were great, the place was clean, I was accommodated with a yummy tea. “My God, their HONEY WALNUT CHICKEN is ridiculously delicious! I always ask for it extra crispy with the sauce on the side (so it doesn't get soggy) and extra sauce. It's like honey walnut shrimp but with chicken. I also get the beef chow mein mmmmm so yummy!! It's a little bit pricey but so worth it! If anyone ever wants to get me a gift for whatever occasion...
