“I have been coming here often for the past three months because of how good the food is. The food in the pictures are the Pad Kee Mao, Thai fried rice, Chili & Lemon shrimp saap, and the Chili & Lemon chicken wing saap. The other dishes that are also very delicious are the Pad see ew, BBQ pork fried rice, teriyaki chicken plate and the Tom yum seafood soup. The flavor is great and the price is right. Highly recommend if you are in the area and would like some delicious food!!!Parking: Very limited but you can find street parking if you don’t mind walking“

“Fun time at kinkan! We had the where are we going tasting menu which was cool to experience and learn anout each dish and how the chef came up with it. The head chef was not in town that day so the sous was serving us. The best dishes were the ama ebi, tuna tartare, and ceviche! All of the staff was very kind tooUnfortunately one of the items was substituted with bolognese which was disappointing (supposed to be uni pasta). And the fish and chips (amaida, matsutake) and crab fried rice was not impressive for this price point. Prices are super reasonable and the food tastes good, especially compared to some of the other options in the area. Excited to try more of their food. Chill music and good service. “Compared to a few years back this street food spot has gained a few more food stalls to neighbor it. There is now a bbq meet place, a salad and fresh foods place and a dessert one. I got three plates, one pad Thai, one pork fried rice and one of their new ground pork with egg dish. Pad Thai is good as always, fried rice was lacking flavor as before but they have seasoning for you to use. Their ground pork with egg was so good but holy crap it was spicy. It did have a good spice though I recommend it.“

“Loved the boat noodles here. It seemed to be just as good as the ones in Thailand, especially the mixed bowl. The steak piece in the mixed bowl is especially tender. Wish the crispy pork skin was refried, it seemed a little stale.The fried soft shell crab was also wonderful, one of the best ones that we've had. Lightly battered and very airy. “Food: Ordered a Hainan Chicken set and a sprite. I originate from Malaysia. Our Ipoh chicken rice is slightly different from this dish but ever so slightly. Only difference is the sauce. Overall, sauce was great, chicken was nice and tender and perfect considering it's a Hainan Style dish. Rice was nice and firm, you could taste the chicken fat in every bite of the rice. “Food was AMAZING... We actually wanted to stay and order more food and dessert. But the waiting staff was horrific in their services. They didn't bring our food out together... nor the tables around us. Our dishes were practically locked clean the food was good.. but our dirty dishes sat in front of us for nearly 30 minutes before anyone ever checked on us. They never refilled any kf our drinks. Might come back for the food one day but this was quite the buzz kill for our experience here.“

“Incredible food! Wonderful welcoming service and food was quickly delivered. Chic and fun atmosphere, and very clean. Everything was so good, but make sure to also ask for the garlic chili oil and chili powder if you want to kick up the spicy and garlic flavor a notch! I loved the basil flavor of the spicy fried rice, and the sweet and spicy flavor of the spicy garlic noodles! “We love coming to this place for a Thai cuisine! I would say the service rates three out of five since they are so busy, and take quite a while to get you seated. However it's doesn't come as a surprise, the food is amazing. Typically always pair my curry or the pad sew with one of there Thai iced tea. Overall, this is the best Thai spot in Rosemead area. Atmosphere is cozy but definitely on the loud side your looking for a romantic spot this wouldn't be it. You“

“My beef noodle spot for a couple of years now. I have to visit once a week if possible and I'm in Long Beach and have yet to find a better place in sevetal years! Highly recommended and their other food is amazing as well. I just can't get over how good the soup is so that's what I get every time now. It might seem like a strange location but don't let that stop you and you can thank me later. Enjoy“

If I was the owner, I'd loosen up on that and not do what you're told. It's your business and it's on its last legs. It was much better when YOU called the shots and not the Government. We ordered a few things, Kao Clook Ka phi, Boat noodle, and Papaya salad - the was delicious. And awesome service - from getting our order in and getting the food from the kitchen to our table. I like the cleanliness of the restaurant. We dropped the lid of something on the floor , and the server took the lid from us, he cleaned it and brought it back - impressive. “We came on a Sunday, it is somewhat busy. The location has a few small Thai stands. We ordered the mango sticky rice coconut cakes and green onion coconut cakes. They are $10 ( each has around 8 pieces ).The coconut cakes are sweet , creamy and flavorful, they made it right in front of you so they come out warm. The mango is sweet and not sour so we are satisfied. Remember to bring cash cause they accept cash & zelle. After they take your order, they give you a ticket and they make your food. You just need to bring that ticket to get your food.The wait is around 25 minutes for the food, and there are 3 long tables next to the stand so you can eat there. We walk around the Thai grocery store across the coconut cake stand when waiting for food.It is a nice place to experience some Thai coconut cakes! Would recommend this place.“

“A little pricey for what you get. Dude at the cashier is not friendly what so ever. After I paid for my to go order, the receipt printed out and he was standing there waiting for me to add a tip. Personally, if you want a tip, be polite and friendly. And I believe tips should be given if the service is great or if someone eats in and they have to clean up after them. “I came to this place on a Thursday afternoon and let me tell you: I am a huge enthusiast of Thai food but it gets harder and harder by the day to pick up one spot that is above all of the others. This place is a strong contender for that first place, though: it has it all, reasonable prices, great food, amazing service and chill ambiance. The server was a woman with short hair and glasses who truly went above and beyond for us (I should have asked for her name but I forgot). Everything, including non-traditional items like fried shrimp cake was just cooked to perfection. It all came out quickly and piping hot. Parking was fantastic too. While I regret being so damn full every time I leave, I can confidently say I've enjoyed everything I've had. 5/5 - Pad See Ew Flavorful, great portions, and came out piping hot. They serve the spicy vinegar with it but you don't even need it, even when you get to the last 25%. 4.8/5 - Kwan's Pad Thai Girlfriend got this, was great. With or without lime, the flavor comes through and is delicious. Noodles were cooked well and when you take a bite with some Papaya Salad? Immaculate. 4.5/5 - Papaya Salad Yummy and spicy. No complaints here. 4/5 - Fried Shrimp Roles Damn good and just the right amount of crunchy. Portion size was quite generous too. 5/5 - Panang Curry SO GOOD. Not too sweet, not too savory and comes with just the right amount of rice. I got it with chicken but I'm curious how the other meat options would taste. My mouth is drooling a bit thinking about it. 4.5/4 - Chicken Satay Yum. Good with or without the peanut (?) like sauce. Chicken had a nice bite and was very soft on the inside. Comes on skewers so be careful not to stab your mouth as you inhale these. Longan Drink Hard to rate a drink but it was yummy. Not too sweet and had a good taste to it. A little pricey for how much you get but I'd say it was pretty worth. Service was pretty good with the staff being very attentive and coming around asking if you needed anything or had any questions. There was a family that obviously never had eaten Thai food before and it was sweet to see the server being very friendly with an explanation on the items. Definitely recommend coming here for a meal.“

“Star Leaf is a new Asian (Thai) fusion restaurant in Pasadena, California. The restaurant is nicely design with comfortable seating. I visited them on a Thursday evening. The hostess was friendly. Tonia, the waitress had a warm smile and very attentive. I started with a Lychee Martini which was ok. The cocktail Kamata Club Blue had a very nice presentation. The Wild Salmon in Thai Vinaigrette was a refreshing appetizer. I also had the Thai Royal Curry with Soft Shell Crabs and Madame Noi’s Pork Collar. For dessert, I finished with Tropical Panna Cotta Coconut Bowl. I enjoyed the dinner. I have one more good restaurant on my dining list.“

But when the soup came, I was shocked at how big the portion was. To be honest I was starving and even then I could have not ordered the broccoli and been fine. There was plenty of spinach in the phon and it was packed full of flavor. The waitress was very friendly and the place was clean. The food is great for the price (the pineapple fried rice is my personal favorite), and they have free delivery available. The owners are very sweet as well.
