“The burger was really great. Different taste from other options around. Problem is that I was given the wrong beer, a lager and not a stout that has the same name. Others in our group had their orders incorrect for their burger toppings. But we just dealt with it.“
“This is the part I hate about Google reviews. Is it gourmet? Heck no. Is it romantic? Heck no. Is it a damned fine pub with good beer and solid pub grub? Absolutely. So five stars for being an excellent pub. But please go in with your expectations properly calibrated!“
“Good beer list with good variety, poutine was on offer and a large portion, well executed burgers. The bartender was great and perfect for opening up the communal atmosphere of the establishment. Vegetarian Diet: They have some great meat alternatives for a fraction of the cost.“
“We got so much more food than what’s in this photo including the Birria Ramen, Patecones, Tacos, Elote Riblets & Duck Fat Fries, Cheese &Beef empanadas…So delicious. Everything was so good. I think the birria ramen broth was a little too heavy for me, but other than that, the food and vibes were phenomenal.“
“A couple of the bands I'm in played here (Sakful and Chino's burning). The Pa system is awesome. The engineer (Paul Shortridge) is very knowledgeable and has the house tone dialed in for any band expressing their style on stage.I was so impressed by the place I started going to the open mic nights on Mondays. And to top it off, the food is freaking awesome! This place is a must if you like good original music, great good and a super friendly atmosphere.“
“Great staff, great drinks, great prices... We had a class reunion here and it was the BEST!!! Stephanie the owner is amazing and will work with you and your needs and makes sure she gives you EVERYTHING you need for your event!!! You won't be disappointed coming here for a happy hour with your crew or booking an event... Love those place!!!“
“Great place for a fun night out or a team event. Lots of ping pong tables. They have a team onsite who collect all the loose ping pong balls. The food is pretty solid (standard bar food).Recommend making reservations in advance. This location gets busy on Fridays & weekends. Without reservations, the wait can be +1 hour.“
“I enjoyed Brickhouse Cafe & Bar. We were looking for a brunch spot while touring the city and this checked the box. Even though the place was crowded, we were almost immediately seated in a booth. The hist dropped on water and menus as we were seated. The menu had multiple breakfast and lunch options. We both chose burgers and we both were satisfied. I added bbq sauce to mines and that really made it even better. Next I visit I want to try the pancake bacon bites.“
“Went here for some drinks and to watch the Tennessee Vols football game (visiting from out of town). Staff was very friendly, and Eddy was great! Enjoyed talking to him, and he put the game on for us and was overall wonderful. I wish we hadn’t eaten lunch before going there, because the food looked great. We did have the fries which were perfect.“
“Very cool chill environment. Bartender/waiter had great hospitality. Small Mexican restaurant inside the bar offering a delicious menu with cheap eats. We tried the elotos, berria tacos, and buffalo wings...all was delicious. Definitely a place to repeat!!“
“A block off the main strip but I really liked it here with a fun bar menu. The gentleman helping me was very nice... --I initially wanted the espresso martini on the menu with tequila. However, it seemed that it was already premade. A lot of places that I've been to just leave it at that but the bartender took it upon himself to make it with a little twist. So that was pretty cool. It started to get crowded after a while but he was attentive and kept checking up.The drinks were really delicious.Usually, I try a special cocktail and then resort to tequila sodas after. But I had a few of these bad boys, perfectly crafted.I didn't try any of the food but they had a selection of salads, corn dogs, etc.I'm not in the city too often but I'd definitely come back here again if in the area.“
“My new favorite spot for Mexican food. On the surface, this place looks expensive and fancy. However, as you get in and taste the food, it is very good yet reasonably priced. You get well flavored with variety of fresh ingredients packed in each taco. What amazed me the most though is the salad topped with carnitas. The carnitas is grilled and fried to the right crispiness. And there is more meat than vegetables! As if the vegetables are just decoration! What I love about this place is how much they care about small touches yet flavor packed like mango or salsa they topped on the dishes. That makes the meal so refreshing to the eyes and tastebuds. And don't worry about seats. This place is big. There are more seats than you can see from the outside. This is definitely a place that I will come back again.“
“My people for life! Always amazing times, so many great memories. Thank you to Anna, Toodie and all the bartenders here. Birthday parties, Christmas parties, Halloween parties, and just because parties this is the place to be with a family atmosphere and always safe. Have a cocktail and enjoy . Love Wally's Greek food, convenient restaurant right in the back of the bar.“
“We were greeted by a friendly staff member who encouraged us to choose our own table. Our server had a warm smile and was knowledgeable, getting us little samples of beer so we could try a couple of options. The French Dip sandwich was a big hit and everyone thought the fish tacos were perfect. Don't miss the sweet potato fries! The ambience was comfortable and casual. We will be back.“
“The burger wasn't too bad and if I ever had a chance to go back I would ask to caramelize the onions. The portion size was a bit to much for myself and have never been a fan of throwing pickles on top of the bun. Just feel like it changes the taste of the first bite. Overall it wasn't o bad but I can't see how it justifies the price. The place was gorgeous inside that matched the appearance of the hotel itself it was in.“
“My bestie and I came here before going to the giants game. And lemme just say it was such a cool spot to be at! It wasn't busy, and the bartender was attentive. I loved how the ambiance was chill and the food was good too. I am so glad I came onto Yelp to find this place!“
“The restaurant is within the Marine's Memorial Club & Hotel, which is situated two blocks from Union Square. It is on the last floor and have a very nice view on dowm town San Francisco. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The food was good and the prices very reasonable, especially for San Francisco.“
“I had been a costumer many years back when they opened up in Point Richmond, it was ok then but they have improved, later I discovered the one in El Sobrante and I really enjoyed the food and those hazy IPAs, Rochelle is a find lady I recommend going, the only issue that I don't like is that they are closed on Saturday evenings“
“We entered without knowing it was influenced by a Japanese vinyl bar and our host as fiddling with a vinyl when we walked up! The whole decade and vibe here was very cool, their tables were also a funky shape which I enjoyed Food wise the focaccia was a great starter, salty on top and a good mouth feel. I can't believe I'm typing this about bread but here we are Nori chips and Tuna were flavourful and light, definitely recommend! Crab and asparagus was also very tasty, also a sight for the eyes The king salmon skewer took my mouth to a higher plane. I'm salivating writing this part it's that good GET IT Scallop dish was also good, I tanked the oxtail dish. While the volume of oxtail here was extremely satisfactory for a miser such as myself, the curry taste was a bit too sour for me. Unfortunately it did not elevate me as the king salmon did Overall, it was a pricey meal but I think the quality almost justified it. Barring the small oxtail disappointment this is a great place to come by, have a date, or after work, I think with a party of three or more it might be worth it as you can try bits of everything“
“We live in Pinole and I'm so excited to have discovered this awesome neighborhood pub! The vibe is super laid-back in the food is outstanding. They have a full bar and a nice selection of beers on tap. The brussels sprouts were amazing and the burger really hit the spot, not to mention the wedge salad was to die for! We will definitely be coming back to this awesome spot.“
“I love this place. I live on Union Street, so when this new place showed up, I was high fiving random people on the sidewalks. I went tonight and reminded myself to write a review. Oysters, wings, a cool drink. Casual, cool, friendly. Love this place. Did I mention that? And who doesn't love Johnny Love? We all do. Five thumbs up!“
“I had the Bacon Jam Burger...very tasty! The fries were "so so". Our server was extremely friendly and came by to check on us regularly! We were here when they first opened, so it wasn't too busy or loud. Not 5 star...food wasn't worthy of that rating. Also, they had no posted hours (on the door, website, or voicemail when I called in)...“
“We aimed to go to Elevation 66 but it was closed for a private party. Ironically, my folks were invited to that party but my friends and I were tragically not. So we needed a wine bar and pronto. Tried to go to the new Banter Wine bar but it's closed on Sundays? That's dumb. People drink on Sundays and FYI, they drink after 9pm too. So we headed to the Scene Wine Bar which is in the same building as the very cool Rialto Cinemas Cerrito on San Pablo. This movie theater is amazing, because you can order food and drink from the Scene Wine Bar and kitchen below and enjoy it in the theater. Pizzas, beer.... So sad but the last movie I saw there was Lincoln in 2012 with my parents and hubby. We didn't know at the time that my mom was already on the path of dementia, oh how blissfully ignorant we were. Fast forward to my friends and I needing a drink and munchies ASAP. Scene Wine Bar did not disappoint! We enjoyed a couple bottles of wine, Brussels sprouts, deviled eggs, hummus plate, cheese quesadillas and chicken fingers with tater tots. And endless conversation that you can only enjoy with your closest friends. The bartender was terrific and totally accomodated our weird requests of bacon on the side so our one vegetarian friend could enjoy all the deviled egg deliciousness. Although we made her pick out the prociutto from the Brussels sprouts. :) Great place and we will definitely be back, with or without a movie.“
