“I think this place is great ! The food has that great Mom and Pop Restaurant feel and taste. I never really wait here long even if there's a line , also when it's busy the quality doesn't go down! My wife has been coming here since she was in highschool and then she told me about it and fell in love and have been coming here ever since, for burgers , grilled cheese , tortas , asada fries , chile rellenos! The prices make sense, I hope I can bring my kids here in the future.“

“The asparagus fries. Crispy & not greasy. You can appreciate the asparagus flavor. We split the Thai spicy salad. It was spicy, but the Thai basil & the peanut dressing were the stars. It didn't need the chicken. The best was the ribeye melt. The meat was cooked perfectly.The sourdough was crusted with parmesan. With a side of horseradish that was perfectly paired for this sandwich.“

The seating was comfortable, and the replicas of famous paintings was cool. It is worth mentioning again that the pancakes are head and shoulders above any other that I've tried. I would go out of my way to return to Russell's.“

“It may seem petty - but for what seemed to be fine dining the table was poorly set and with paper napkins. Our server was pushing the special and when the lady next to me ordered the chicken (which I had planned to order), he tried to talk her out of it saying you could get a dish like that anywhere. When it came my turn, I said “Please don't try to talk me out of the Brick Chicken!” He didn't say a word.“

“They easily accommodated our mobility issues with a walker and table to sit side by side. The hostess was kind and patient. Server was very well versed on the menu and able to modify items according to our needs. The food came perfectly as ordered and was exceptionally good. We cannot recommend this restaurant more heartily! Service, menu items and variability, ability to modify to dietary needs all were excellent. Next time we are in West Covina, we will definitely return to the Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. By the way, the wine list was very good as well. “I've been going to Pieloon for a few years now and it is THE BEST restaurant in Downey! The food is always fabulous, the portions are large, the service is perfect! I've had appetizers, salads, pastas, steaks, burgers, sandwiches (I'm addicted to the BLT) and many of their specials. My family and I go now 2x a week and have trouble deciding what to get because it's all so good! And the pies...their pumpkin pie is the best I've ever had and the blueberry cheesecake is fabulous...but just wait until fresh peach pie season...I'll gain weight just thinking about it...the fresh peach is the best pie I've ever, EVER had! I love this place and the people who work there!! They're like family now!“

“It had been nearly 15 years since my last visit. I must say the decor is exactly as I remembered. Took 3 minutes to be seated then we were greeted by the most friendly and attentive waiter I’ve EVER had at any restaurant . I’m a huge lover of the cabbage salad so I gorged on a big bowl before dinner. I ordered a medium rare fillet and potato and it was cooked to perfection. I so wish I lived nearby as I would pay it a regular visit. I’m so glad the Clearmans Northwoods inn has not been changed.“

“We love JB Burgers. Why? For one, the food is great. I get a steak sandwich all the time. No mayo, due to a diet constraint. Sometimes I'll get a bowl of chili ... or if I'm in the mood, I'll get a stack of french toast with my steak sandwich. Yes, that's a lot of food!

Steak sandwich - The french roll is good. The steak is a nice piece of meat and it has great flavor. They put tomatoes and lettuce. The tomatoes are good. The lettuce adds a crisp crunch, but there's a lot of white lettuce. The steak sandwich is a must!

My better half gets a guacamole burger. Tasty and the guac adds some healthiness AND the creamy texture replaces mayo, 1000 Island or any other sauce that's not healthy.

The chili is good! When it's chilly or on a rainy day, it's good comfort food!

French Toast - this is good stuff. They give you a lot and it's made well. Taste is really good and they use a thicker bread - yummm!

Now to the wonderful staff! 95% of the time we've had good to exceptional service. I order inside the restaurant - makes sense since we're eating inside. One time, this gal told me I could not order inside and she made me go outside to order. I told her I order inside all the time, but she didn't want to listen. I almost left, but I saw the familiar faces there, so I ordered outside. The next time I saw her there, she let me order inside.

I try to get to JB's at least once a week. They're my go to!
