“They used to be New Wok on Peck Rd next to the dealership in the shopping center! They are the best Wok in El Monte! I almost cried after eating their food. We tried other Woks from 5 different cities, NONE of them compare! Have been a customer since I was a kid! So happy they are reopen! It’s our first visit to their new location.

Their rice in this visit was a bit too salty and taste slightly different too. But, their signature chow mein is SO good! No other place compares! Their egg roles are also delicious too! Their food quantity is just as big too! You really get your bang for your buck:

2 combo is like $10-$11 and the 3 combo is $12.49ish.

They used to have vegetarian/pescatarian options, but not anymore. I hope they have more veggie and seafood options!“

“Make sure you bring cash, trust me its worth the hassle. I'm an uber driver and I love trying Chinese take out places all over Southern CA, and this is the best by a lot, and for many reasons. “The most authentic Nanjing Salty Duck, I have bought from this restaurant for years! The old owner was from Nanjing and the recipe was from the most famous duck restaurant in that region, but sadly after Covid they only provided take out service, it still the same quality even after the new owner took over the store!
Their duck were purchased from different state, less fat and more tender meet, and the cutting skill kept the way it should be, each piece is thinner and neat!

“My son and I were sick with headcolds. I was told that the Wonton chicken soup here was miraculous! We went there and got some. It is the best Wonton soup ever. “I was in the area with my friend & we were looking for a noodle soup spot. This had some great reviews and the pictures looked good.I ordered the mayonnaise shrimp, bbq pork noodle soup, wonton soup and others. The mayo shrimp was excellent and reminds me of walnut shrimp at other locations. The bbq pork of the noodle soup was delicious and the broth was on point.I would definitely come back and try their other menu items. Parking was descent and a great spot to get some noodle soup.“

“I've been ordering food from China express for the past 2 years. I'm satisfied all the time. I usually order through uber eats since it's the only way I can get my salt n pepper shrimp lol. It's because when I go in person and ask for it, I get told they don't have that but whenever I order through uber I always get it and it's delicious. (I promise it's the correct restaurant). Either way, the chow mein is great. Fried rice is great too. Not mushy, not dry, perfectly cooked and not overly greasy. Their broccoli beef, spicy fried chicken, and omg the orange chicken. Their orange chicken has a perfect taste and I love that even though it's nicely coated with the sweet glaze, the chicken still maintains it's crunch. (I have a problem with soggy mushy orange chicken from other places). Plus, I always know, that I will always have seconds to for dinner or take for lunch the next day. Plus, it's not overly pricey.“

Great presentation and professional business. It’s at the corner of the Thai food place shared with the small market. Makes great gifts for the seasonal moon cake festivals!
