“Koobideh meal is delicious just how I cook at home. Tahchin has cardamom in it which I'm not used to, but it is still good. The ghormeh sabzi is good but lacking some lemon flavor for me. Ask for extra Omani lemon/lime to squeeze into the stew. House doogh was very good. Owner Reza is very nice and friendly. Overall a good experience. No restroom on premesis.“

“Taste of Tehran was my first time eating at a restaurant in Tehrangeles, and it was an awesome choice. This was definitely one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants I've been to in LA. Everything was so great. And yes, I ate a lot of food on the first day here. I started off with some of the stews that included gormeh sabzi, the gheyme, and ash reshteh, which were all very tasty. The surprise hit to me was the Lentil Quinoa Salad. Seriously, one of the best salads I've ever had. It was sweet, refreshing, and savory all at the same time. No words to describe. And then the meats: the koobideh and soltani plate, just fabulous, along with that lentil rice. I can honestly say that Persians make the best rice out of all Middle Eastern countries! Even the barberry rice was amazing. Never had a rice this sweet and fruity before! Overall, an amazing experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Don't be fooled by the looks of this place. It looks like a quick, over the counter order type of restaurant, but the food is top notch. Even Anthony Bourdain has been here! “Great food! Had the chicken shawarma and really enjoyed it. It came with pita bread, garlic dip, and two sides. There’s a long list of sides to choose from so you can mix and match to your desire. The chicken was tasty, juicy, and has the perfect char from cooking on the spit. The portion was very large and filled me up with some leftovers.

“We’ve been here multiple times and honestly every time has been a great experience. The food is always fresh and delicious, the atmosphere is warm and relaxed, and the staff are genuinely kind and welcoming.

You can really feel that the management cares about the customers and about maintaining the quality of the restaurant. It’s one of those places that feels comfortable whether you go with family or friends.

The kebabs were excellent, the rice was perfect, and everything tasted authentic and homemade. Definitely one of our favorite Persian spots in OC right now. Highly recommended.“
