“This place is a good spot, but I strongly recommend getting transportation to and from there since the surrounding area is sketchy, especially at night.

Great atmosphere and the pawn master was very funny. I didn't know you should bring something to pawn when I made the reservation, but they won't turn you away if you have nothing.

It doesn't have a full bar, but the food was delicious, especially the octopus. I felt the service could have been a bit more attentive. It almost seemed like no one stopped at the table asking how we were doing or if we would like to order anything else.“

“A small food menu didn't disappoint with big flavors and lovely presentation. Service was great and the bar makes solid drinks. Prices were a little high ($9 for a side of sweet potato friend, $4.50 for regular) especially for portions size, but quality was good. This won't be a regular spot for food but I'd definitely come back to try again.“

“Not a huge fan of the seating layout. I sat on the left side to avoid the loud chatter of people but that meant being on a hard bench with uninteresting decor. Empanadas were wonderful, the ceviche with coconut milk was a pleasant surprise. I wanted to try the arepa but it seemed like the portion was tiny. The chicharron was very flavorful!“

“great mediterranean spot in sf with a super welcoming vibe. i got the octopus and the cold dip mezze and both were so well-prepared. the bread was fresh and warm, and the dips were packed with flavor — couldn’t stop eating them. they also have a great wine list that pairs perfectly with the food. would come back in a heartbeat, especially for a cozy dinner or group meal.“

“Absolutely blown away by this sushi spot. It’s a hidden gem with the perfect mix of cozy romantic ambiance and truly top tier sushi. The lighting is soft and intimate which makes it ideal for a date night or a quiet evening to treat yourself.

The nigiri is next level. Fresh, delicate, and full of flavor. I highly recommend sitting at the bar and letting the chef choose a few pieces for you if you’re open minded.

Because of the chef I discovered that I absolutely LOVE Horse Mackerel Nigiri, Kutuso, and Shima Aji. These were things I probably never would have picked on my own but now I can’t stop craving them.

Every piece felt like it was crafted with care and precision. You can really taste the passion and expertise behind each bite.
Already dreaming about my next visit. Easily one of my favorite sushi experiences in the Mission.“

“Mamy of the tapas are outstanding. I would particularly mention the beef cheeks, the tocino, the fabada, the scallops. Some are, to me, just OK, such as the albóndigas or the bimi. The croquetas are what they are everywhere: they are not my favorites but they are croquetas. The point, though, is that it is possible to create a great meal! The service is wonderful. The Sunday eve music is really fabulous and worth the trip.“

“I was planning on eating at Belly for lunch not realizing they’d moved, so I decided to try the new place out. I did not regret it!

The food was great, the service was pleasant, and the vibe was very chill. The woman who served us was happy to answer any questions we had about the menu (I have a shellfish allergy, so this is important for me in particular).

I ended up having the curry. The veggies were perfectly cooked and the flavor was on point. Chicken was still moist and the rice was fluffy.

Will definitely be returning.“

I am from Arkansas and staying at an airbnb almost 5 minutes away, and just stumbled upon the closest restaurant that was still open at 10pm. Walking in, you are greeted with the largest smiles, fun music, and chill atmosphere. Having been to Japan, and seeing the Okonomiyaki on the menu, I HADDDD to get it... and oh my gosh. It was SO GOOD. My husband and I couldn't get over how authentic it felt and how hard it is to find okonomyaki back home in Arkansas. I'm SO GLAD we stumbled upon this place and I will be sharing with everyone I know 100%!!“

“Love this place! Wine and tinned fishes what more could you ask for. Their selection of tinned fish is vast and I love how many different types and flavors there are. They also had some nice non-tinnned fish, empanadas, burrata and spreads. The perfect accompaniments for wine! Everything came with so much warm bread. We probably ordered too much, but no regrets.

They are dog friendly and the service was great! I saw they do popups sometimes so I'll have to check those out. Can't wait to go back.“

“This is a quick serve onigiri restaurant in downtown Berkeley. It's awesome to be able to get fresh onigiri in the East Bay and they include edamame as well. We split a plate of 3 and got the short rib(x2) and the unagi. Very small inside the restaurant, very much a get your food and go type place, but there is some room to eat standing up. They were quick, well priced and delicious. The perfect quick bite.“

“I’ve visited Co Nam twice so far and really enjoyed both experiences. The food is excellent, with some uniquely creative dishes. I’ve never had ribs covered in sesame seeds before, and they were surprisingly delicious. The curry is a personal favorite.

I also appreciated the great conversation with Daniel, the bartender, who’s incredibly knowledgeable about a wide range of drinks.
