“Do you like Mexican food? how about fresh chicharron and meats? fresh tortillas? OMG! the best anywhere. I travel from chula vista san diego up to this place for some chicharron! then i take advantage and get some tortillas. I always get a burrito because its fresh! FRESH! they have a butcher place so the meat is fresh all the time not frozen for their kitchen. you can get freshly cooked tortillas still warm from the thermal. they have lots of mexican candy and chips! my favorite place to go!“

“Mi Guadalajara is now featuring an outstanding Sunday Brunch Buffet! Since they’re my favorite Mexican restaurant in Esco, I was excited to check it out and everything was excellent. I was really impressed with the thoughtful balance of Mexican and American favorites, serving both breakfast and lunch type dishes. It’s quite the varied spread that would satisfy just about anyone. I particularly enjoyed their Mexican shrimp cocktail, house-made tortillas, omelets, pork adobada and a penne pasta dish with diced ham tossed in a flavorful Mexican-style cream sauce. There’s also a nice selection of sweets and desserts. Brunch is served every Sunday from 9am – 2pm and very reasonably priced for all you can eat. I believe there is also a special full-service brunch menu if you’re not interested in the buffet. Highly recommended.“

“To me, this is the best mexican food spot in Escondido. I've been coming here for 40 years. The food is very traditional with wonderfull taste and big portions. My go to is the adobada burrito with whole beans. Little hole on the wall spot traditionally decorated. The ladies taking your order are always polite and friendly. You'll have your food in less than 10 minutes from ordering it. Highly recommend this place.“

“This restaurant was a destination stop in my youth. They are not in my state, so I had to visit them again when I was out of town. This restaurant is clean, but I did notice several wet stains on their ceiling, which could be roof leaking. We ordered a 3 piece meal and a chicken taco. The sides were corn and beans. Everything in the meal was good tasting. My only complaint is chicken pieces are too small. The taco with visit sauce was also good. Prices are a little high for a fast food meal.“

“Hey, hey the pollo asado burrito with potaoes. Oh boy - fat and delicious. But BEST OF ALL is the green salsa - my, my. They gotta extra large container for sodas but i get that green salsa in that container. Oh boy. I keep a container in my fridge at all times. I go in there, ask for salsa only she automatically gets me the big container. My daughter lives in NC. i have to freeze at least 5 burritos to take to her on the plane. Its embarrassing, I tellya. If i don't my stay there is a nightmare. Its a good spot.“

reading all the bad reviews just ticks me off because the food here is genuinely so yummy it’s very authentic, obviously if you didn’t grow up with most of the food you may not like the unique flavors, but oh my gosh it’s actually reasonable prices, I ended up getting a burger combo with a big plate of carne asada fries for 28 dollars and the owner is incredibly friendly, it’s pretty small inside but who’s to blame them? The food makes up for it“

“The cheese it not real cheese. It tastes like plastic. For the price you pay for, you should have real cheese.. The cheese is rubbery. I almost choke on it.. But don't get me wrong. The rest of the food it tasted good. Next time, I get no cheese.. I put my own KRAFT cheese on it..“

“I haven't been here in a while and was craving a beets, carrots, pineapple.and spinach juice. I ordered a large cup and requested no ice. I got my drink its it was just below half way with actual juice and the rest was foam, you can't drink the foam. I was about to get charged around $12 for a half empty cup of juice. I expressed my concern with the cashier and I asked her if she would charge me for the medium which is about $8. She was hesitant but eventually agreed to it. I feel like they fill the entire cup with ice and only top it off with a small amount of juice which is a rip off/scam.“

“I live in Temecula but every time I head south to San Diego I stop here in Escondido the food's good and they haven't raised the prices. So outrageously high like most places you can get a bean and cheese burrito and a quesadilla for about 10 bucks and that's plenty of food“

I got the veggie burrito, my son's got carne asada burrito and rolled tacos. It took a minute but I could hear him cooking and cutting up the meat on the stove so it was fresh. Good flavor. “One of my favorite Mexican spots in Esco. Last time I ordered a plate of fries (big enough for like three people!!)a fish burrito, and a medium tamarindo. The tamarindo was really fresh not too sweet. My food was done like 6 minutes after I ordered. Everything tasted incredible like it always does. I truly enjoyed the creamy Chipotle Salsa with my fish burrito.“
