“After the long walk at Point Reyes, glad to find 711 store on our way back. We were super hungry and tired but after parking in front of the convenience store, we smelled aromatic olives & bread and found this warm cozy pizza house beside 711. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Their pizza is thin crust the way we like it! Worth to cap the day trip!“
“We came for dinner last night and had the margarita, sausage pizza, and winter salad. It was all delicious. The pizza had a nice crispy crust and the flavors were very balanced on the salad dressing. This is a cozier restaurant with roughly 5-6 pizzas on the menu. As others have mentioned, we recommend coming earlier unless you want to wait. We were there at opening and got a table no problem. We will definitely be back.“
“Fantastic in every way. Great tap list. Great food. Great service. We had the burrata which was so gooey and nice. And the corn chowder was like life changing. The sausage was amazing. We are visiting from out of town but we will be back for sure. Service was excellent !!Edit March 2024: yep they’re still awesome !! Yay !“
“We recently moved to Novato from Fort Worth, Texas and spent a couple of months trying to find our pizza. Well we found it! The pizza at Lo Coco's is delicious, and the staff are super nice and welcoming. I'm pretty sure the owner is there most of the time and knows a lot of his customers on first name basis. I really really really like this place!!“
“Love looking for new places to try, especially when traveling. Provided options to my SIL for her bday dinner and this is what she opted for. We ordered an assortment: beer battered onion rings, ceaser salad, kale salad, clam chowder, mustache pizza and shrimp scampi pasta. We enjoyed everything (no leftovers). We ordered dessert: tiramisu and chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream. It takes about 15 minutes for the cookie as they make it fresh in a cast iron pan so it's served nice and warm. Cute place and great ambiance.“
“I recently took some friends out for Sunday dinner at Giaco's. We had a cozy table right next to the fireplace, delicious food and great service. Recommend the Osso Bucco, the Papardelle pasta and the Blackened black cod. So, so delicious. Wonderful warm ambiance. And...if you like Bloody Marys, theirs cannot be beat.“
“Oh goodness this place was INCREDIBLE! We found it from searching for food in Sausalito and I’m so glad we did. It has the calmest, warmest ambiance and felt welcoming to us with our young kids. The servers and owners were beyond kind and the food was out of this world. The caprese appetizer was extremely flavorful and the pizzas were perfection. Couldn’t recommend this enough.“
“I ordered a pizza for delivery, pizza was excellent! And I’m originally from the east coast so I grew up eating some of the best NY style thin crust pizza. This pizza is some of the best I’ve had in California and I’ve lived throughout the state over the last 16yrs. Authentic thin crust NY style.“
“Fun neighborhood-type place. We always feel welcome and happy at La Locanda. The Caesar salad actually tastes like anchovies and the Parmesan makes the dressing a little creamy. All the Pinsa is delicious. We've tried them all and enjoyed each variety. Re wine, If you ask for a mineral-ly white, they will recommend and you'll be happy. All the dishes the wait staff carried by us looked tempting. All the wait staff is friendly. One problem: the focaccia is so good that it's hard to stop eating it.“
“My husband and I reserved Gaspare’s side dining room for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Daniel, the owner, was so responsive and informative throughout the planning process. On the night of our event, the restaurant staff were so kind and attentive and made the night flow so smoothly, and the food was great. If you are looking for a restaurant in Marin to host a private event, I cannot recommend Gaspare’s enough!“
“Delicious sandwich. I am obsessed with the dutch crunch bread. The people behind the counter were so nice and made our sandwiches quickly. Loved the essence of this sandwich shop. I recommend to anyone who is visiting Sausalito. The location is beautiful.“
“finished a hike nearby, close to mount tam. Prices are fair for being in Sausalito. We were greeted by Jacob, who was very nice and polite. started off with a Caesar salad took me and my guest two minutes to finish it off. generous portion. Pizza came out subsequently. Biggest compliment you can give a chef is finishing it in five minutes. everything was great about our experience, the weather, food and service. please support.“
“Absolutely the best! I had the calzone, and we have had the pizza previously. The food is superb! 000 flour from Italy is a nice touch for the freshly made pizza and pasta. We were enjoying lunch and I couldn't help but wonder why we ever eat anywhere else. The café has a small indoor space and beautiful, outdoor seating. The host/waiter was very kind and patient as we debated what to order. Everything looks so good! As it turns out, I was debating between the salad and the calzone, and the calzone comes with something like a salad on top of it.??“
“If I could give 6 stars I would!!Amazing selection of pizzas that are super friendly for anyone with dietary restrictions, lovely cafe type ambiance with opportunity to people watch folks on the main street, and great service! My husband and I came here on a Sunday afternoon after a quick hike with friends - we were all hungry! The menu offered vegan and gluten free options (including vegan tiramisu!).We went to order at the register and were given recommendations/top sellers. My husband and I love olives so we decided to go with Olive You. The food came out quick! Given our group size we decided to eat at the picnic tables at the park across the street. The pizza was delicious!!! They weren't shy with the olives and the crust was nice and crispy. We definitely want to be back to try other items off the menu!“
“Amazing pizza and Caesar salad. The Specialized was so good... The sausage and pepperoni were the best I have tasted outside of Rome Italy. Thin and delicious pizzas just like Roma. What a gem this place is... I can't wait to return for the dinner service.“
“Best pizzas in the world. They sell slices of pizza of which I had two. My choice was called Peace in the Middle East. The ingredients and seasoning really made it fabulously great. The crust was not hard but a nice texture. I recommend this pizza for all pizza lovers!“
“We have been looking for great pizza since we moved to Marin a little over a year ago. I am happy to tell you that we finally found it! This pizza is as close to Neapolitan style that can be found in Marin. They have unique and well thought flavor combinations, especially the "Pizza of the Month" offering. My favorite is the "Escalle": tomato, house mozzarella, house sausage, Zoe’s pepperoni & fennel pollen. I get mine with extra red sauce. They offer a take and bake option where your pizza will be mostly baked and you finish it off at home. This is a great option because your pizza will be as hot and fresh as possible when you pull it out of the oven. The pasta dishes are also tasty and well thought. If you have a sweet tooth I highly recommend the "Butterscotch Pudding" it is absolutely divine.“
“My pal'et Chapstick Betty just got out of the hospital with a cast on her foot because she didn't pay attention in paratrooper school and landed incorrectly. She calls me and asks if I can bring her a salad from The Village Italian Restaurant. Sure, I tell her...I'll leave Napa right now, go to Navato to pick up a salad from The Village Italian Restaurant, and bring it all the way out to you in West Marin. The salad sure looked great, and Chapstick was her typical self...she gave me 6 dollars for my time.6 whole dollars! The salad was ☆☆☆☆☆ delicious.“
“We had a great experience at Rocco’s. We were visiting from out of town and craved pizza after a long hike. The pizza was excellent—high quality toppings and delicious crust. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. It felt more like we were guests than customers. We will definitely come back. They have a great patio and lovely interior ambiance.“
“This is the best round table pizza in the Bay area. The pizza is cooked perfectly with no bubbles. It's crispy crust is good. They put on just the right amount of red sauce (not too much like other places). I can actually taste what a pizza should taste like. It's been great 9/10 times that I visit when I'm in Marin county.“
“The fried calamari was soft and delicious. The sauce served with it was not too salty. Highly recommended.Carbonara was delicious, but it was not a typical taste, but a unique style that I had tried for the first time. Recommended.Punggi Pizza was pan-style pizza, not oven-style, and it was thick and the portion size was average. They came and checked between meals, and when I asked a question to a staff member who had some difficulty communicating in English, another server came to check again. It was nice to be able to have a quiet meal even though it was a weekend lunch.Kid-friendliness: There is a baby chair“
“Attended BuckLuckyfest at this wonderful venue. The staff is great the owner, Olympia , is fabulous! A great place to have an event or party. The food is good and Austin mixes up your favorite cocktails. Tonight a $5 cover gets you in to see live bands play, shop vintage clothing and check out other vendor booths or hang out in bar area and watch sports. Event ends at 10pm.“
“During our transit from the Southern part of France, we stayed near Gare du Nord. As our daughter loves Italian food, especially a pizza margarita or peperoni, we searched for a good place to eat. This spot is really amazing. A really open and nice atmosphere, with friendly staff and excellent food. The pastas were delicious, as well as the pizza margarita. A really must-to-do (eat) place, when you are near Gare du Nord and or Gare l’Est.“
“My husband & I used to be regulars at this restaurant until we moved out of Fairfax and further north so it's been a while since I have been here. I went last night for dinner with my sister and we had a fantastic meal. The server was very attentive and patient. He was great answering our questions and held one of the appetizers she had ordered to keep it warm until I arrived. Very nice. The only thing is that now that I'm vegetarian, there weren't a lot of pasta options and I ended up with a margarita pizza. It was yummy so no complaints, but I would love it if some restaurants in Marin would start to make more of an effort for vegetarians and vegans, especially since more and more people are going at least partially plant based. I have to say that it is the running joke for me with my friends that when we go out to eat, I have the choice of a mushroom dish as an entree unless I decide to do salads or apps. There are so many other things to do for plant based appetites than mushrooms and butternut squash. And I feel like Italian should be one of those restaurants that can really do a nice job with non-meat dishes. Okay, that being said, we had a great time, the apps and wine were delicious and the dessert, Tartuffo, was as delicious as I had remembered.“
“Picture this: it's 9:30 AM, and the only thing louder than our roaring motorcycles is our hunger. We stumble into this joint expecting side-eye glances, but instead, we're greeted with a warmth that could rival our exhaust pipes. Now, onto the main event – the burger. Cooked to perfection, with a spicy remoulade that'll wake you up faster than a triple shot of espresso. And don't even get me started on the bun – it's so magnificent, I almost asked for its autograph. So, if you're up for a morning adventure and a burger that'll make you forget it's not lunchtime, this place is your ticket. Just make sure your motorcycle's parked securely – you wouldn't want it to get jealous of the attention you're about to give this burger.“
“This place is absolutely amazing. Best value pizza in Marin. I recommend getting Sicilian as it is massive and amazingly tasty. We come back often, and while it’s not Michelin star level pizza, it is very solid and gets the job done.Vegetarian options: Plenty of optionsParking: Plenty“
“Came here to get a pizza at almost 12am. I have to say the people in San Rafael are so lucky to have a good delicious pizza place open for takeout after 11pm because most places don't stay open past 9pm. Their pizza was so good. I loved it!“
“I got a few pies on a last minute order, and they were speedy and efficient and delicious. Easy parking too! They are also super if you want just a slice. Outdoor seating and friendly staff. My son rated this the best pizza in the country for what it's worth :)“
