“It's a nice place, new and comfortable. The food arrived quickly and as expected. However, the service is very poor since you need to order over the phone, and the servers only bring the food to the table; the rest you need to get yourself.“
“Recently went back to Boca for the first time since the pandemic. Pre-pandemic, it was one of our go-to restaurants with the kids, but somehow, didn't get around to going back until recently. Food: App: octopus was well seasoned and tender without being mushy. Even the arugula was dressed well, and went well with the octopus and polenta. Salad. Shared a Boca salad. We used to always get a salad that had lamb slices and I think a hunk of goat cheese(?) but it's no longer on the menu. This entree salad was a pretty good substitute. Generous portion, and again, well dressed--flavorful without being drenched/soggy. Crostini was nicely toasted. Entree: shared the short rib pappardelle, which was delicious. So flavorful, and our 10 year old kept sneaking bites even after he claimed he was full from his pizza. Pizza: got the kids a pepperoni, and cheese pizza, fully knowing that the pizzas are big, and that they would eat less than half, since they refused to compromise and share a pizza. But hey, leftovers for lunch the next day! The pizzas were fine, nothing special. But the kids liked them, which is saying something. Service: attentive without being hovering Ambiance: casual, not too crowded, but we went at 5 pm, when it's mostly families and maybe seniors.“
“This place has been here for YEARS and it’s always been wonderful! If you’re the type who likes to just get a single or a couple slices of a specific pizza, this is that type of pizzeria and it’s frankly one of the best in Marin. Yeah everyone says the west coast can’t do pizza very well compared to NYC or Chicago but I’d say at least give this place a fair try before you judge!“
“A friend and I met for a business dinner and requested a quiet area. Although not a corner, we could converse easily. Our waiter had a great personality and made a couple of excellent suggestions. Both our entrees were delicious and the evening was most pleasant and productive.“
“Tony's Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco is a slice of heaven for pizza enthusiasts. Nestled in the heart of the city, this pizzeria crafts authentic Neapolitan-style pies that are worth the wait. From the crispy yet chewy crust to the flavorful sauce and fresh toppings. The ambiance is cozy, perfect for a casual dinner or a laid-back hangout with friends. The menu offers a variety of options to suit every palate. Tony's Pizza Napoletana is a must-visit for any pizza lover in the Bay Area.“
“Super yummy pizza at a pretty great price. Only thing stopping from a five star is the combo slice was a little soggy from being over topped w/ veggies (tomato slice, zucchini, mushrooms, onions). Definitely stick with the classic pepperoni.“
“One of the best pizzas in San Francisco. Very small place with a parklet out front. About 5 individual sized pizzas on offer, with a daily salad special, and two daily desserts. Very casual and unpretentious but the food is glorious. Has thrived for about 25 years.Parking: Challenging. Allow time. Or take Lyft, Uber, or the bus if you can.Wheelchair accessibility: Outside seating is accessible, inside would be a tight squeeze.“
“Pinsa Rossa is absolutely amazing! Their appetizers, salads, and, of course, the pinsas with their crunchy, flavorful crusts are all top-notch. Ken and his team have done an incredible job creating a dining experience that’s simply outstanding!Dietary restrictions: My daughter, a brand new lactating mom who can’t consume lactose products, asked for a pinsa with vegan cheese, and we couldn’t tell the difference, it was great!Parking: There’s parking available half a block away from the place.“
“Hands down the best pizza place I've had in SF. The service here is amazing and the pizza reminds me of NY, pretty comparable to slice of NY in South Bay too. One of the workers, who I think is the owner is super friendly and generous. Even though it's in the TL it's kind of on the outskirts near Bill Graham and Civic Center so it's not super sketchy coming here. Slices are thin crust and come out super crispy when they serve them.“
“Hands down, literally the best dinner I've ever had! From the wine, to Bruschetta appetizer, to meat canneloni and the best tirimissu I've ever had. I'm remember this dinner for a long time! The service was unbeatable as well.. hidden gem!“
“First time eating a deep dish chicago-style pizza as it's my first time in the US, and this was something else. Very nice, definitely different than a good old Napoletana I am used to :) the thin crust pizza was also very nice! For the two of us (one adult man and one woman), we've ordered a 10" thin crust pizza and an 8" deep dish pie (old Chicago style), and it was more than enough for us. The full-sized deep dish pie looked huge so I'm glad we didn't order it! It seemed like it would fill 4 adult men.“
“My husband and I really liked it here, came accross it post discovering the bay. We'd walked miles, and fancied some pizza! We chose well. It's a really lovely place, plenty of seating snd they accommodate us walking in on a busy night. The aesthetic is special. All the staff were really great. We had a mix of pizza, with some extra toppings, mozarella sticks and olives. If there's one thing you need, it's the insanely cheesy mozarella sticks! Don't eat here without them.Pizza was really good, crispy and flavoursome. The price is fine considering location, and portion sizes. Would recommend going here!“
“the pizza was to die for, absolutely loved the sauce on the margarita! highly recommend the cauliflower as well. Only negative was that we went on a very crowded friday evening (with reservations) and the service wasn't the best, and it was extremely loud inside the restaurant“
“Wow, this place does not disappoint - so good! I've been a few times and tried many different pizzas. I appreciate that they offer different kinds of pizzas, so there's something for everyone. For me, the most memorable one was the Chopped Cheese Detroit - a Detroit-style pizza that really tastes like a McDonald's cheeseburger - I don't know how they managed that! It's such a unique flavor and something you probably won't find anywhere else. The Fried Cheese Curds are also a must - perfectly crispy and melty cheese! The space is casual and easygoing. The service has always been attentive and friendly. I'd definitely recommend this place for anyone who loves pizza, especially unique-tasting pies.“
“After 20 years later my husband and I back to enjoy the pizza, a bottle of wine , espresso coffee and they delicious Tiramisu OMG this restaurant sill with the best food and the best service, a Italian gentleman and a Yucatán gentleman make us totally happy with our meal.????“
“This was a life-changing dining experience - and so wonderful that our group went two nights in a row! The menu was authentic, extensive, fairly priced, and everything we ordered was phenomenal. The service was the best I've ever had. (Pro tip: ask for Charles!) The setting was intimate and cozy - exactly what we were looking for after a long day in the city.Don't pass on Fino. It will be one of the best meals of your life!“
“This was a fabulous Italian restaurant in the marina! Unfortunately, you can't make a reservation before hand so you need to queue on the yelp waitlist. However, if you're flexible the wait time is not too bad. We were a party of 3 looking for seating on a Saturday around 8 and waited about 30 mins. Besides this, the restaurant is adorable with beautiful dish wear and cute decor. We got some white wine for the table which was delicious and the waiter was great with recommendations. I ordered the bolognese which was so flavorful and the pasta was perfectly cooked. However, I do wish there was an option for more cheese on the pasta. We finished our meal with complimentary lemon gelatos which were very refreshing. Highly recommend Casado Osteria for your next date night or dinner with friends!“
“I liked Za a lot - they have a new york style pie (so, thin) and a cornmeal crust. You have to like that sort of thing, and know how to eat it - newbs let it cut their mouth and cry about it. Don't do that, don't be a newb. The owner was named Buzz, I went their for a lunch slice. Very friendly and toppings came through / weren't overwhelmed by the sauce. Nice neighborhood spot.“
“Excellent food, staff and service. They have a strong wine list, very interesting salads and pizza options. The decor is interesting and old school like from a 60s or 70s movie. The pizzas are named after neighborhoods in Rome. The street it is on is a bit sketchy but once inside it is really cool.Vegetarian options: Salads and many pizzas“
“Went here for dinner with my neice, and it was amazing. The staff was very friendly. We were a little cold and the staff brought us blankets. A must try was the meatballs, yummy. The salad was delicious, as was the pasta. Generous servings, and the food was nice and hot.“
“Napizza is one of my favorite “go-to” restaurants in SF.Their quality of food is 10/10.Their service and attentiveness is 10/10.Their wine list is a 10/10 (primarily Italian reds).I have brought many friends from out of town and guests here to eat, as its ambiance is one of coziness, its intimate (in terms of its size), and fun (they tend to play music towards the evening depending on the crowd / customer vibe).Do go check it out, and don’t hold back on trying different things on their menu!P.s. I love their Caesar salad + anchovies“
“We had a very good experience and the pizza that they make is exactly the kind I like. I guess if I had to complain about something maybe more options of pizza with tomato sauce, but even the one that we got without tomato sauce was good. We also got the beet salad. If you get an appetizer then two people can actually share one pizza. Three slices each.Parking is not the easiest over in this area but you can eventually find a meter.MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT... It's not about this restaurant but all restaurants in San Francisco... They are always way too expensive. We need to come up with waste to make these experiences not so costly. We usually just go down the peninsula.“
“Immediately was greeted by kind employees with amazing personalities! Ordered myself a meet lovers calzone (small) ended up being able to feed 3 people! Great flavor with the cheesiest cheese and plenty of it. Recommend to families, couples or anybody wanting some good authentic Italian Pizza! Came all the way from Sacramento for Chicos!!!! Me and my wife will be back for sure!!“
“Restaurant closes at ten and we got back to our hotel around 9:30. I always feel like such a jerk walking into restaurants when they're close to closing. I asked the waiter if they close at ten and if they're still seating people or not. The waiter literally went and rearranged a table to make room for my family and insisted it was okay and to please come in and sit down and relax. The food was brought to us within ten minutes. Probably the best food I've had our entire trip. 5/5 stars to the service, the food, and the atmosphere. Will absolutely be returning here on our next trip through SF ?“
“Back to Back adds warmth and flavor to the relaxed and quiet streets of Nob Hill, my neigboring neighborhood. Its special to support a family run restaurant by two siblings whose parents formerly ran a restaurant in this very same space. Hence, the name Back to Back. The food is undoubtly delicious and has interesting recipes like the Hot Honey pizza, but for me what really makes this spot a standout is its energy and story. The whole evening it was abuzz and our waiter offered helpful guidance while also being delightfully charming. Hot tip: the chocolate cake is very rich and dense so plan your offering accordingly“
“We came for dinner last night and had the margarita, sausage pizza, and winter salad. It was all delicious. The pizza had a nice crispy crust and the flavors were very balanced on the salad dressing. This is a cozier restaurant with roughly 5-6 pizzas on the menu. As others have mentioned, we recommend coming earlier unless you want to wait. We were there at opening and got a table no problem. We will definitely be back.“
“About a week ago my family and I decided to try Presidio Pizza located on Divisadero St and we all loved it! There were so many options on the menu and it was hard to choose since it all looked so good but we ended up getting the grandma style pizza. The pesto drizzle was a nice touch and the pizza was so soft and warm and definitely satisfied my pizza craving! All the ingredients were fresh and evenly distributed on every serving. I would recommend this place for people to try definitely!“
“Love this place! Pizza is delicious, its a fun casual atmosphere, and they have a great list of drinks on tap. They also have roadside service for weekend nights where it's maybe a little too busy to get a table. Fun place to catch a basketball game too!“
“After 15 days around America, only today we finally felt at home, thanks to Giuseppe's kindness and his welcoming restaurant we finally ate an amatriciana as if we were in Rome... or rather... maybe better! if you are in San Francisco and being nostalgic for Italian dishes... the little bakery is the ideal place to satisfy you. Highly recommended!“
“As a pizza connoisseur, when I heard about Roman style pizza, 'pinsa', with a different dough, I was immediately curious. As they note on their website, pinsa dough is made from a combination of soy flour, rice flour, and wheat flour, creating a crust that is light yet crunchy and satisfying. We ordered the Formaggio di Capra e Spinaci for some greens to go with, and then got the Quattro Formaggi and Prosciutto e Fichi for our pinsas.I find salads from pizza places to be very hit or miss; and Gusto Pinsa's salad was certainly a hit. The salad was perfectly dressed - it had a ton of flavor with the dressing, tomatoes, goat cheese, cranberries and walnuts coming together to provide an interesting textural contrast, with a nice hit of black pepper. The pinsas were the star of the meal though, as expected. Although I'm not the biggest fan of cheese only pizzas, the Quattro Formaggi was excellent! It was super cheesy and salty (in the perfect way), and the splotches of sauce provided nice balance to the saltiness of the cheese. The Prosciutto e Fichi was the preferred pinsa by myself and my partner, with the prosciutto and fig glaze providing a nice saltiness and sweetness that contrasted very well with the Quattro Formaggi. If you haven't tried Roman style pinsa yet, what are you waiting for? These pinsas were delicious and somehow felt much lighter than eating a regular pizza. We will be back!“
“We had a DELIGHTFUL dinner here. We had the beef dish, the catch of the day, broccoli rabe and vegetarian platter with grilled zucchini, eggplant, red pepper, artichokes and mushrooms. The setting was lovely with art on the walls and italian music -- was it an opera?!? on the stereo. Good service, great meal. Enjoyed by all.“
“I was in the city for a conference and didn't have time to eat, but SF pizza saved me, it was easy and fast to pickup. Loved the place, environment and service. The pesto and tomato pizza was GREAT! I like to keep my pizza simple with good ingredients, if you are like me, definitely give it a try. ?“
“We were shopping in this street and were very hungry. My kid spotted this pizza place and we decided to go there. As vegetarians we ordered the Agarlic Pie, margharita pizza and garden pizza for 4 of us. We absolutely loved this cute little pizzas. All of them were great. Kids also enjoyed it. Will definitely visit next time when we are in this neighborhood!“
“Decided to try Delarosa on a whim & very glad we did. Lovely patio seating for our dog, & the service was 10/10. We ordered the meatballs & Brussels to start, hot salami pizza, gold/red beets salad, & Caesar salad. The best.“
“I first came to Tommaso's in 1966 when a student at San Francisco State. Does anyone remember the SF Opera chorus lining the center table and singing? Or the drag queens from Finnochios? There was always a can of AquaNet in the men's restroom. What a great place!“
“Okay I only stopped in a few shots and a couple glasses of wine deep for a slice of pizza late night but honestly that slice hit so hard, delicious with a nice oily gristle to it and the perfect size to fold in half and go to town. The guys working here were friendly too. Thanks “
“My favorite out of all the pizza places on Polk st. and there's a lot of them. I actually like the slices better when they're not as fresh, and gets reheated (crisper crust) ?♀️ but good either way. Guy up front is super chill.“
“Battling a serious case of the Mondays and the post St. Paddy's day blues, I had been craving a burger for hours when I remembered I get to pass this San Francisco staple on the walk home. Sam, his son, and the chef's have been grilling up American style cheese burgers over a flame grill in this hole in the wall for nearly 60 years. Their classic recipe is the epitome of if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Served on a paper plate with all the fixins, this not a fancy grommet-style meal, and there's no secret ingredient that keeps people coming back for more. It's the back to basics deliciousness paired with the old style feel of diners of the past. Staffed by only one or two people at a time, they're flipping burgers and making them consistently amazing and quick. Sam's hit the spot and 100% satiated my craving. They're open late on the weekends, so I'm looking forward to popping in again soon to round off a night out.“
“Drop everything. Go here now. Order more than you think you can eat (you can always take some home, and you’ll wish you had ordered more to take home). Taste and enjoy everything.Seriously, though….what are you waiting for? Even the most simple dish Chittara alla Pomodoro will knock your socks off. Simple doesn’t mean boring and tasteless. This dish is packed with fresh flavors and the pasta is perfectly al dente.Thank me later.“
“Great american style pizza.Thick dough - but very fluffy and not dry at all. Amazing slices of pepperoni sausage on top - very flavorful and super crunchy. Also very nice tomato sauce and cheese.Must try!I cannot comment on location and service as we ordered via UberEats.“
“Very good Italian restaurant in the financial district. Fresh dishes and real Italian flavors. Large selection of wines by the glass. Attentive and friendly service. Please note: as in the entire neighborhood you have to go eat (very) early, restaurants often no longer accept customers after 8:00 p.m. or 8:30 p.m.Wheelchair accessibility: On the ground floor, access from the sidewalk possible.“
“I absolutely love this place! The food is so savory and just so darn delicious. I love the small Italian cafe vibe and the neighborhood is great! My boyfriend and I came here 6 months ago and I can’t stop thinking about the butternut squash raviolis! It was a rainy night and the restaurant lit candles on the table and the experience was for us was romantic and memorable. I’m for sure planning another weekend trip to the city so I can return here for sure.“
“We go here often, and I love it! Great easy casual spot for flatbread fancy pizzas. I recommend going light on the onions on the pepperoni pizza, or removing them all-together and you'll have a perfect pie. Not a big fan of the appetizers and i've tried almost all of them, not liking any of them. They are all a bit heavier, not too many light options aside from the salads (which are bommbbbb). Service is always 10/10!“
“This may be the best pizza in all of Marin. Lo Coco's is a family-owned pizza place in Terra Linda that is super family-friendly and absolutely delicious. They do not do much other than pizza, but don't let that deter you. The pizza makes it all worth it! They do have a few salad options, and a delicious canneloni dish, but if you come here, you better get some pizza! Lots of great combinations-- you really can't go wrong. And they have really inexpensive bottles of wine, too.“
“While visiting San Francisco I wanted to get a quick meal before arriving to the hotel. I called Goodfella's and they took my order quickly. I ordered a pizza and wings. The pizza was great tasting, but what really took the prize for me was the wings! Has to be one of the best wings I've ever had! They were well breaded, and had a lot of meat. If you're ever in town, definitely give them a visit!“
“Definitely worth a go! We were having a wander after work not sure where to go for dinner and came across this place. It was quaint and nicely decorated and lucky for us they had a table available. Everyone enjoyed the dinner and the wine, and the staff were friendly and helpful.“
“Absolutely slaps. My favorite place for casual Italian in SF. Winter greens salad with fresh bitter herbs and poppin' blood orange citrus. Pork sugo pappardelle is rich and fragrant, just the thing to comfort your soul. Fantastic non-alcoholic cocktail list.A little noisy inside but more on the buzzy side than it being a negative. Ate at the communal table by the kitchen and enjoyed the social feel.“
“Palio is one of my favorite restaurants. I eat there with friends regularly and will continue to do so. The pizza (Margherita) is delicious and a perfect appetizer -- which is not to say the other appetizers aren't quite good -- because they are. There are always a few specials, a fish special, a pasta special and a meat special. So, even if you don't see something on the online menu you'll be able to choose a special, which is always quite tasty. The selection of Italian wines to complement the meal is quite nice -- and host Martino will guide you to a fairly priced bottle. In summary, I really really like Palio and everything about it and will continue to be a loyal patron. Plus -- easy and free street parking. A real plus in San Francisco.“
“Is this place really absolutely fire or is it just 2am and am I just drunk every time I eat here? Who knows but it gets 5 stars from me LOL This place is oh so conveniently located right next door to Del Mar and is open until 3am on weekends!! The pizza is soooo good with a 10/10 gooey cheese pull. They sell a ton of other food too like I vaguely recall them having baklava but nothing sounds better than a pizza slice when I'm drunk so I've never tried anything else. Staff is friendly and the wait is never long (I think). It gets pretty crowded around that 2am mark and there's only a few tables inside but at that point in the night I don't mind just eating outside on the street LOL. Will definitely be back next time I'm out at the marina bars drinking!!“
“Absolutely the best! I had the calzone, and we have had the pizza previously. The food is superb! 000 flour from Italy is a nice touch for the freshly made pizza and pasta. We were enjoying lunch and I couldn't help but wonder why we ever eat anywhere else. The café has a small indoor space and beautiful, outdoor seating. The host/waiter was very kind and patient as we debated what to order. Everything looks so good! As it turns out, I was debating between the salad and the calzone, and the calzone comes with something like a salad on top of it.??“
