Time traveling to a place where pretentious food does not exist and the service is terse at best...but that's kinda what makes this place charming! I've been going here with my father my whole life, we get the same things every time! I highly recommend, joes special spinach, veal cutlet and a burger that is extraordinary. My notes to the old and (new) owner is your "story" you tell people about not being able to do the Caesar salad table side anymore because of COVID is just lame- it's one of the best if not the coolest thing you guys have done for generations! It's just plain lazy that yall don't do this anymore. These days caesars are made at an old booth, in an entire corner of the restaurant which is kept untidy and disorganized, to go boxes, back stock of food and bev items litter this area- very unsightly. “Recently went back to Boca for the first time since the pandemic. Pre-pandemic, it was one of our go-to restaurants with the kids, but somehow, didn't get around to going back until recently. Food: App: octopus was well seasoned and tender without being mushy. Even the arugula was dressed well, and went well with the octopus and polenta. Salad. Shared a Boca salad. We used to always get a salad that had lamb slices and I think a hunk of goat cheese(?) but it's no longer on the menu. This entree salad was a pretty good substitute. Generous portion, and again, well dressed--flavorful without being drenched/soggy. Crostini was nicely toasted. Entree: shared the short rib pappardelle, which was delicious. So flavorful, and our 10 year old kept sneaking bites even after he claimed he was full from his pizza. Pizza: got the kids a pepperoni, and cheese pizza, fully knowing that the pizzas are big, and that they would eat less than half, since they refused to compromise and share a pizza. But hey, leftovers for lunch the next day! The pizzas were fine, nothing special. But the kids liked them, which is saying something. Service: attentive without being hovering Ambiance: casual, not too crowded, but we went at 5 pm, when it's mostly families and maybe seniors.“

You need to make reservations well in advance but they’ve also been able to accommodate us at the bar when we walk in which is just as nice, so definitely recommend that if you’re a party of one or two. Indoor and outdoor seating are both super nice and comfortable, and we’ve gone for both lunch and dinner and they’re equally great experiences!“

“We go here about twice a month and always love it. Shout out to the staff on Saturday April 13th at about 5:45pm. My wife and I were at our friend's 40th bday party at a bar on Grant. We only had two drinks when she got the text that our table was ready. When we enter the restaurant she sits down on the bench near the host stand and starts mumbling "I don't feel good I don't feel good" and then became dead weight. I didn't know what was happening, just knew it wasn't right. The staff was so concerned and so helpful. Helped me get her outside and kept bringing us water. Luckily I was able to call our friends to help move her and help me handle what was going on. Turns out that she had been roofied at our friend's birthday party. So thank you once agin to everyone working that night who treated us with compassion and helped me handle the confusing situation I was in.“

The restaurant is so cute and intimate and perfect for date night. The service was great and the staff is super nice and helpful. We ordered the black pepper bucatini and the nor-sting-ya pizza. The pasta and the pizza were so good! This is one of the best cacio e pepes I've ever had. I love that they use bucatini noodles. The pizza was bomb and spicy! This will be our go to whenever we end up in the Marina.“

“First time eating a deep dish chicago-style pizza as it's my first time in the US, and this was something else. Very nice, definitely different than a good old Napoletana I am used to :) the thin crust pizza was also very nice! For the two of us (one adult man and one woman), we've ordered a 10" thin crust pizza and an 8" deep dish pie (old Chicago style), and it was more than enough for us. The full-sized deep dish pie looked huge so I'm glad we didn't order it! It seemed like it would fill 4 adult men.“

“Few Saturday ago I had lunch here with some friends that they had already tried it. The owner is Italian and I spoke a little bit with him. The three of us shared the risotto of the day (seafood risotto), the octopus and the veal parmigiana, while my husband just the lasagna that he really loved it (and he is very picky about it). Risotto was good even though it was more similar to paella (speaking of taste it was good), octopus was good too, while the parmigiana wasn't my favorite but just because I don't like this dish in general (my friends really liked it). The owner was very friendly and gave to my baby a cup of ice cream. I was so busy to eat that I forgot to take pictures. Next time!!“

However, if you're flexible the wait time is not too bad. We were a party of 3 looking for seating on a Saturday around 8 and waited about 30 mins. Besides this, the restaurant is adorable with beautiful dish wear and cute decor. We got some white wine for the table which was delicious and the waiter was great with recommendations. I ordered the bolognese which was so flavorful and the pasta was perfectly cooked. However, I do wish there was an option for more cheese on the pasta. We finished our meal with complimentary lemon gelatos which were very refreshing. Highly recommend Casado Osteria for your next date night or dinner with friends!“

Paolo took wonderful care of us. His wine, suggestions and appetizer and entrée tips were the best! The pasta is homemade and very delicious and special. We tried the gnocchi with pesto, as well as a delicious braised meat, red sauce over fresh linguine. We also enjoyed the grilled (not fried) octopus. The tiramisu for dessert was perfect! “I've been going to Sociale since they first opened and they are consistently great. There is excellent variety on the menu giving you lots of options. The pastas are very good, made with highest quality ingredients, as are the meats and fish. This visit we had salads for a first course. One of us has the veal chop and one the pork chop. Both were great. The dining room is cozy and the outdoor area is, too. There is a private dining room that can accommodate 15-20 people for those special gatherings. Plus, parking is easy and free on Sacramento Street. What more can you ask?“

Two weeks later, I'm still thinking about my chicken parmesan with the sneaky kick, and my boyfriend's tender, perfectly seasoned filet. They do the classics, but find ways to surprise you. Whatever you do, do not skip dessert. The coconut citrus pie, I want to say, is something between a key lime pie and Basque cheesecake, and it is one of the best desserts that I have ever tasted. Also, this might not be the first place you'd think to go for a perfect margarita, but the bartender can make you one. “About a week ago my family and I decided to try Presidio Pizza located on Divisadero St and we all loved it! There were so many options on the menu and it was hard to choose since it all looked so good but we ended up getting the grandma style pizza. The pesto drizzle was a nice touch and the pizza was so soft and warm and definitely satisfied my pizza craving! All the ingredients were fresh and evenly distributed on every serving. I would recommend this place for people to try definitely!“
“Restaurant closes at ten and we got back to our hotel around 9:30. I always feel like such a jerk walking into restaurants when they're close to closing. I asked the waiter if they close at ten and if they're still seating people or not. The waiter literally went and rearranged a table to make room for my family and insisted it was okay and to please come in and sit down and relax. The food was brought to us within ten minutes. Probably the best food I've had our entire trip. 5/5 stars to the service, the food, and the atmosphere. Will absolutely be returning here on our next trip through SF ?“
