“Red boy has long been our favorite pizza place around Southern Marin. The sausage they use is particularly good. Unfortunately, lately who's ever making the crust is not evening it out properly. The crust under the fillings is way too thin and most of the bread has been pushed out to the rim which is now way too fat. Hopefully it's just a temporary problem with a new pizza maker learning the craft, but we did not enjoy eating big gobs of bread the last two times.“

“Chico’s Pizza completely knocks it out of the park. First off, the food is absolutely great—heavy, delicious pies and massive comfort food that never disappoints.
But what really sets this place apart is the vibe. The staff is amazing—super welcoming, fast, and genuinely friendly every time you walk through the door.
And finally... oh my god, the restroom has a bidet. You do not expect that kind of next-level luxury at a neighborhood pizza spot, and honestly, it is an absolute game-changer. Great food, incredible people, and top-tier bathroom amenities. I love this place!“

“Stopped by recently on a hot summer day for some gelato. Talk about a perfect repast to beat the summer heat. I had hazelnut and mango, and the portions are very generous. I didn't ask, but I think they make the cones in-house. Anyway, strange combination, I know. The mango was immediately delicious but I think I messed up combining the two because when it came time for the hazelnut, I was too full to truly enjoy the depth of flavor. Next time, I'll get it to take home. I love the location, it's in one of my favorite areas of San Rafael with shopping, good food and entertainment in abundance. Haven't had the pizza yet, but I'm a New Yorker and we're picky about our slices!“

We arrived at Capo’s around 7:20 pm on a Saturday and were told we would have to wait 40 minutes for a table.
As hungry travelers, we said thank you and as we were about to leave, the hostess finds a nook and sat us down outside. I appreciate the fact that she did us that favor.
There were no patio heaters, so if sitting outside or walking in during busy hours, expect to dine outside in the cold with no heat (during winter).

(The Staff)
It was a very busy night, but the staff did a spectacular job in checking in on us.

(The Food)
The appetizers come in a reasonably sized portion, we ordered the garlic bread with mozzarella and was given a complimentary dish of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
My partner ordered the meat lasagne and I ordered the rigatoni alla vodka with smoked pancetta. The food was really good, it’s unlike anything I have ever had.
Take in mind that the dishes do serve up to 2 people, on busy nights it make take a bit to get your food, and regular pizzas take up to 20 minutes to bake, deep dish pizzas take up to 45 minutes to bake (but they look like they are worth the time!)

I would have loved to sit inside, the vibe is really nice. If you are looking for authentic Italian food with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff, book a reservation at Capo’s.“

The garlic fries at Pizzeria Avellino put other garlic dishes to shame. They are seasoned perfectly with so, so much garlic. Somehow they’re more garlicky than actual garlic, and I don’t understand how it’s physically possible.

I got us tickets to dear San Francisco, which is a wonderful show at Club Fugazi just 3 blocks away from this great restaurant! Paolo took wonderful care of us. His wine, suggestions and appetizer and entrée tips were the best! The pasta is homemade and very delicious and special. We tried the gnocchi with pesto, as well as a delicious braised meat, red sauce over fresh linguine. We also enjoyed the grilled (not fried) octopus. The tiramisu for dessert was perfect! “This review has been overdue for a while. My husband and I absolutely love the pizzas from Gochees. It is our go-to place whenever we are craving pizza, which, for my husband, is at-least couple times a week. I like the sweet and spicy and the chicken bacon ranch, while my husband always goes for the pepperoni. I never cared for pizza and rarely used to eat it. But ever since my husband introduced me to Gochees, I love it! I like the relatively thinner crust. They are closed on weekends, so we actually look forward to weekdays so we can order from here.
