“Ambiance - 5/5 Great experience wit unique decor, the dining area gives off the old street vibes for sure. When you walked in, immediately you are greeted with this nice Chinese decoration. Even their mugs are unique and give the old street vibes.

Food - 5/5 we ordered some skewers, malatang and tomato beef brisket noodle soup. I said their malatang is the best and the highlight here. We ordered the mild spicy Cheng Du soup base that comes with less soup and serve on a big platter. The broth is clean yet super flavorful, tasty with a good strong hint of spice. The heat level was just nice for us as we get to enjoy the broth without the numbing/burning hot effect.

Their fried tofu and quail eggs skewers are seasoned just nice and only complained is the portion is small as I was expecting more than 3pieces of tofu per skewers. But then again these are not the normal cold tofu (it's the better grade, chewy version).

We ended with their rice cake. It's so good and addictive. I couldn't stop eating and have to hold myself back to save the last piece for my family. It's crunchy on the outside but super light and airy inside (unlike most other rice cakes which are usually fairly dense) And very soft and chewy.

Service - 5/5 Very good, observant and attentive. They provided us with extra napkins without us having to ask for more.

I’ve been to Sushi Ken in Fremont several times now, and every visit has been absolutely fantastic. This place truly never disappoints. The staff—both the servers and the chefs—are always so welcoming and kind, which makes the dining experience feel extra special every time.

One of the first things I love is the free appetizer they serve right away—usually edamame, fries, or sometimes both! It’s such a fun and tasty surprise to start your meal. The sushi itself is delicious and always priced at a great value, which means I usually end up ordering several rolls (no regrets!). The best part? The service is fast—my food always comes out quickly, with hardly any wait time at all.

To top it all off, they bring you a free scoop of ice cream for dessert, which is such a thoughtful and sweet way to end the meal. It’s those little touches that make this spot stand out.

“Delicious burgers with options to suit all tastes. They have beef, chicken, and veggie patties as well as some without Pakistani spices for picky eaters like my daughter. They also have loaded quesadillas with fries and their signature spicy sauce which are amazing. They also have a good variety of shakes. We’ve had the mango and the Oreo Never Boreo.“

“We are from Connecticut, and during a recent trip to the Bay Area, we had the extreme good fortune to try the Afghan Awasana Kabob House. Oh my ... what an experience! The food was superb … an epicurean delight, but also plentiful, and very reasonably priced. The qabuli palow - a lamb shank dish was a standout, and the squash bolani - a stuffed flatbread was out of this world. The owner was very friendly during dinner, only to be surpassed by what happened after our dinner. Upon leaving, our car would not start. The owner offered to jump start our car. When that did not work, he offered us a ride back to the house where we were staying ... which we gratefully accepted. On the way, while we were thanking him profusely, he indicated that this was not an imposition as he routinely gave rides to his workers. I was moved to tears with his generosity. The Afghan Awasana Kabob House stimulated my palate, satiated my appetite, and above all, nourished my soul with renewed faith in the kindness of humanity. A truly memorable evening that will not soon be forgotten.“

“The BEST pizza in Fremont!!! I moved from that god forsaken city in 2020 and the only thing I miss is Mission pizza. It's the very first stop we make when coming back down to California. We've always experienced amazing customer service interactions in all three locations that they've had. The pizza has also always been on point. “Stopped in on Saturday for dinner little before 6pm but it filled up pretty quick. We decided on ordering a beef dry hot pot and added potato chips, noodles, and lotus roots. Price is reasonable and portion size is huge. Three of us couldn't finish it and we still had about half for leftovers. Let me say that this is probably the best dry hot pot I've had from any restaurant, and I've been to three other restaurants. Watch out this place doesn't shy away from spicyness, level 3 was pretty hot. Service was good and quick. If this place was closer I would be visiting pretty often.“

Not only that but their breakfast special made it worth it. I’m also thankful that I get to take my dad here for brunch. My favorite breakfast item has to be the ‘love me tender’. Their chicken fried steak is to die for. Not only that but their burgers are especially delicious. The restaurant itself looks pretty rundown, however, with a lot of the decor being leftover pieces from the thai restaurant that occupied this space several years prior to Pho Lan. The ceiling also has a lot of visible mildew and sealant or something spread around that makes it look like it's in the process of being renovated, and the overall atmosphere is slightly dull. Other than that, however, it's quite clean. Staff was super friendly, however, and service was fast since there was only one other person other than myself there at the time as it was a weekday. Overall, it's worth checking out if you're in the area and are craving Vietnamese food.“

We recently had this restaurant reserved for a family meal for 12 of us. We ordered everything family style, and a wide selection of dishes - fish, chicken, pork, beef, and vegetarian. Everything was fantastic! The lady who runs the restaurant is super friendly and the service is great. We have been disappointed with BKs Bistro this past year - (I'm guessing that they changed cooks) so I am super happy to have a new go-to place. We've eaten here twice this month and it has been great both times. For those of you who have lived in this area for many decades, you may remember the Pine Garden on Smith Street in Union City (it's now the Bird Haus Beer Garden which is good in a different way). The Pine Garden had the world's best Tomato Beef Chow Mein. EE Home Cookings version is very good but I'm still searching for that Pine Garden flavor. Lol.“

My usual order is a regular burrito, taco with plenty of their delicious pickled carrots, grab a bag and pack a good amount in there they’re so good! “Special Noodle Restaurant is authentic and the food is delicious! The atmosphere is fun and has a good vibe. Although you order on your phone, the service is really good and delivered promptly. “This spot is super tiny but busy so ordering ahead is a pro tip. There are not any tables for eating, just a counter.

I enjoyed the egg-salad sandwich with ham, cucumber, corn, and buttered wheat bread quite a lot. The pork bulgogi onigiri had great flavor, and I was quite impressed by the inventive wrap that separates the nori so that it doesn't get damp.

I was not quite so excited by the bacon kimbob, in part because I like my bacon crispy and this wasn't quite there. It's also quite dry.

Other Rice Junkies in the Bay Area have a specialty wrap with macaroni salad and a range of sauces, but this seems to be the first one that they're experimenting with toast-based items more. I did not try the Issac toast, which is their signature item here that features an omelet inside of bread. I would go back to try that.“
