“We are from Connecticut, and during a recent trip to the Bay Area, we had the extreme good fortune to try the Afghan Awasana Kabob House. Oh my ... what an experience! The food was superb … an epicurean delight, but also plentiful, and very reasonably priced. The qabuli palow - a lamb shank dish was a standout, and the squash bolani - a stuffed flatbread was out of this world. The owner was very friendly during dinner, only to be surpassed by what happened after our dinner. Upon leaving, our car would not start. The owner offered to jump start our car. When that did not work, he offered us a ride back to the house where we were staying ... which we gratefully accepted. On the way, while we were thanking him profusely, he indicated that this was not an imposition as he routinely gave rides to his workers. I was moved to tears with his generosity. The Afghan Awasana Kabob House stimulated my palate, satiated my appetite, and above all, nourished my soul with renewed faith in the kindness of humanity. A truly memorable evening that will not soon be forgotten.“

“This sushi restaurant its so good! The deluxe uni handball is SUPER tasty. I could have eaten 50 of them.

We ordered soft shell crab, which was a smaller crab than I am typically used to at ither places, but it still tasted good and had a nice crunchy texture.

The mix tempura was probably the best tempura I've had ever. The texture was light and crispy and not soggy at all (which is very easy for it to get).

Then we ordered chicken udon for our 3 year old, who lodged the noodles and broth.

We ordered the Deluxe sashimi as our main dish and it was absolutely delicious! I loved the ice underneath the radish to keep the sashimi cold (my daughter loved it too and kept eating it).

They gave us edaname beans and green tea ice cream complementary which was nice before abd after the meal.

“Delicious burgers with options to suit all tastes. They have beef, chicken, and veggie patties as well as some without Pakistani spices for picky eaters like my daughter. They also have loaded quesadillas with fries and their signature spicy sauce which are amazing. They also have a good variety of shakes. We’ve had the mango and the Oreo Never Boreo.“

We got the linguicia omelette, country fried steak, and French toast. Everything tasted so good! The French toast was unlike others we’ve had—it’s like a happy combo of pancakes and French toast. Would recommend getting extra crispy potatoes. Service was quick and so friendly! Thanks Country Way!“

Not only that but their breakfast special made it worth it. I’m also thankful that I get to take my dad here for brunch. My favorite breakfast item has to be the ‘love me tender’. Their chicken fried steak is to die for. Not only that but their burgers are especially delicious. I love the Jalapeño cheddar burger myself.Given the prices now of fast food now this Diner’s food is even more justifiable. Given the fact they’re very generous with their portions especially to regular customers which I have honor of becoming. I’d recommend this place in a jury of my peers. Or just in passing.“

“Ramen Arashi is easily one of my new favorite spots in Fremont. The food is legit. I ordered the Arashi ramen and it was super flavorful — rich broth without being too heavy, and the chashu was soft and tender. The noodles had the perfect chew, and the bowl came out piping hot, which I loved.

I also tried the karaage and it surprised me. Super crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and not greasy at all. Portion size was really generous too. Even the side toppings were fresh and well-seasoned.

Service was fast and friendly, and the prices are reasonable for the quality. I already want to go back and try more from the menu. If you’re anywhere near Fremont and craving ramen, this spot is a must-try.“

“Zhangfei Hotpot in Fremont is an absolute gem! I've been searching for authentic, flavorful hotpot in the Bay Area, and this place truly delivers.
We opted for their classic Spicy Mala broth, and it was incredibly aromatic and delicious – perfectly balanced with numbing peppercorns and a rich, spicy kick. It genuinely transported me back to the hotpot experiences I've had in China! The selection of ingredients is fantastic; everything from the tripe and duck intestine to the fresh vegetables was high quality and cooked beautifully in the broth.
The sauce bar is incredibly well-stocked, offering a huge variety of condiments to customize your perfect dipping sauce. You can go classic with sesame oil and garlic, or get creative with their extensive options.
The ambiance is also lovely – a clean and comfortable space with a nice blend of traditional and modern decor, making it great for a casual meal or a gathering with friends.

“Very authentic Shanghainese style food. Spicy soup noodles can sure test your ability to stand hot food. Steamed and fried dumplings, and Xiao Long Bao are must-eat items. Appetizers like jellyfish and stewed spare rib chunks are highly recommended. Mr Song is the owner. He is ever friendly and efficient. This place is a rare find on East Bay.“

“We were craving some home cooked meal and found EE Home Cooking, so here we are. The restaurant is pretty small and is quite home-ish. There were two people eating and a guy ordering a takeout. We sat down in their wooden table and here are what we ordered for lunch:

Mapo Tofu with Minced Beef Plate (lunch special) - 5 out of 5
Their Mapo tofu has a little kick to it in combination with shredded beef in it. It's an unique take to mapo tofu since most mapo tofu these days are heavy in sauce mixed with vegetables or that it has a mix of pork inside. Although it's different, I kinda like the mapo tofu version EE Home Cooking is bringing into the table very much and I would recommend if you're a fan of mapo tofu to try their take on it as well.

Sweet & Sour Pork Plate (lunch special) - 5 out of 5
The sweet & sour pork plate is a fairly common dish that the Cantonese cuisine make well. EE's take is no exception. A dish well done and you can't go wrong whether you've had it plenty of times or is just trying for the first time.

Salt & Pepper Spare Ribs - 5 out of 5
Yet, another Cantonese stable. The salt & Pepper spare ribs EE does a great job with it especially on the salt, the pepper mix. In combination with some freshly fried pork chop, yum!

The owner and I chatted a little. She mentioned about their take out to be discounted. 3 dishes for $39.99 is really a steal. I might just give that a try next time and so should you!“

“My favorite taco truck has been my go to spot for over 12 years. They serve amazing al pastor that's always juicy and flavorful. My usual order is a regular burrito, taco with plenty of their delicious pickled carrots, grab a bag and pack a good amount in there they’re so good! The service is always quick, and the staff are consistently friendly and welcoming. It feels like home, and the flavor has stay perfect over all these years.“

Not many ramen places makes the soup base tasty and made fresh. Bodo is made fresh and that's why it might take a bit longer. It's worth the wait. Their service is pretty good and the place is very neat. They serves different Japanese dishes as well. Plenty of choices. Try it and you won't be disappointed. “Stopped in on Saturday for dinner little before 6pm but it filled up pretty quick. We decided on ordering a beef dry hot pot and added potato chips, noodles, and lotus roots. Price is reasonable and portion size is huge. Three of us couldn't finish it and we still had about half for leftovers. Let me say that this is probably the best dry hot pot I've had from any restaurant, and I've been to three other restaurants. Watch out this place doesn't shy away from spicyness, level 3 was pretty hot. Service was good and quick. If this place was closer I would be visiting pretty often.“

“Bob Sang Restaurant is a hidden gem near the Tesla plant in Fremont. So far, I've tried the Galbitang, Kimchi Jigae, Bulgogi, Spicy Pork, and the latest is Seoul Style Bulgogi – really great with very tender marinated beef – tasty!
