“Just get the short ribs... Trust me. Worth a 25 minute one way drive.

The rest of their food is solid, though after multiple times I'd say the chicken is consistently on the dry side (sauce does help).

Service is generally friendly. Atmosphere is a bit on the light side (meaning not a lot of depth)... We always just do pickup.“

“I come here often since it's near my work. I really wanted to post this review so I can show everyone how great my bowl looked. I got a small bowl but the worker packed it so well. Chef's kiss! The service here is fast. Even if they are working on online orders, they make sure to tend to the customers in person first. Everyone is sweet too and they give you extra sauce in the side if you ask.

I've eaten inside a few times too and the ambiance is fine. Definitely recommend if you are so the area“

Food was good. Chicken katsu was crispy. House fried rice was not like the Chinese woj style fried rice. It was newly cooked rice so the fried rice came out soft. Taste and texture is different.“

“Shootz is sooo good. I usually get the katsu chicken sandwich and spam masubi. The portion is kinda big and the quality is consistent. One of the best places to eat at rodeo 39! The chicken sandwich is so crispy and the spam masubi has a crunch at the top which makes it so yummy.“

“Some of the best Hawaiian food I’ve had in the area. Not only is the food unreal but the amount of fish they give you for such a good price is insane. Any other poke place would give you a fraction of the food for the same price. Can’t wait to keep coming here“

“I’ve been coming here for years, and it’s still hands down the best poke spot ever. Everything is always fresh, delicious, and made perfectly every single time. Plus, I live just a minute away, so it’s my go-to spot. Staff is amazing and kind too! Truly the best!“

“If you’re looking for freshly cooked food, stop here. This place is a little shop hidden in a shopping center. It wasn’t crowded on a Saturday afternoon about noon when I entered. The gentleman immediately asked if I wanted to order while he put together another order. As I reviewed the menu, I ordered chicken bowl and some soup. The food took a little bit of time to get but I was okay knowing that my food was cooked to order. The gentleman did mention that I could call it in before picking up. The price was about $14 to $16 per item and we got it to go. The food was extremely hot so be careful handling. The only thing I would look to change would ask for the teriyaki sauce be separated as the rice soaked up the sauce leaving my chicken a bit dry…. but still tasty. They even give you little candies and I also received a punch card for future orders which was fun and will be returning.“

“For someone who adores beef, their beef bowl is da bomb, big and juicy just the way I like it. My boyfriend also had the big bros house special and I honestly don’t know which is best cause the sauce is heavenly.“

“A legit Hawaiian food spot, I haven't had a good garlic shrimp plate in CA until now (it reminds me of Giovanni's shrimps). Also, I tried their crunchy Gojujang fried chicken and beef ribs and they were delicious. I would definitely recommend these dishes as a first timer here and wash it down with Dole pineapple slushy.“

“I didn't get the owners name, but she was out working just like anyone else would and she was so nice and inviting, which is rare these days. The food is excellent! Reminds me of a NYC Automat only a 21st-century interpretation with self-service menu ordering terminals, no coin or currency, smartphone updates, and access to retrieving your order from numbered/lettered lockers. Very clean, fast service, and no on premises dining. Many restaurants and foods are featured. Location is in a light industrial area and well traveled. I recommend you try this place.“

“They were out of chicken, food took forever and it was Luke warm with the same flavors I remember but now less meat. It's a huge serving of rice with a bit of meat. I have to say I was disappointed at a few things but I still ate good I wished they had a microwave I could heat it up on.“

Lots of comfort food options. Hawaiian cuisine & favorites well represented. Many offerings have spam and eggs 🥚 in dish or is the dish.
No matter what we always get a few orders of the Crab 🦀 Rangoon (6 pieces & request sauces) w/ loads of crab meat!
Again, house red sauce is Stellar!
Tastes more sweet & zingy than sour so it tastes great on everything.
Potstickers steamed or cooked other ways upon request. Staff is happy to help with menu.
Katsu 🐔 Chicken is nice and moist while encrusted well.
Teriyaki chicken or beef bowls 🍜 with rice 🌾 & vegetables always hot the spot.
Staff is outstanding. Been goin many years and they definitely take pride in customer satisfaction.

ADA Compliance is great. Big doors open to large main room with many tables w/ wide aisles. Large space for ordering is on lower level counter near cash register. Much easier to see menu. Hav handouts as well.
The soft drink 🥤 section has lots 3 sizes of sodas, juices, sports drinks, iced tea., water , more. Very convenient if in wheelchair ♿ or handicapable like me ( both legs amputeed). Staff really goes out of way to assist. Certainly know my take out or delivery order by heart.
Pricing is heck of a value. Highly Recommend for quick lunch or dinner.
Defly gotta try the house red sauce. Not spicy...but sure is delicious on everything.

“There are several different Hawaiian BBQ , however if you have not ever tried the food at this place you are in huge luck. Prices are more than fair in todays world.
The taste of there food is awesome to say the least, and for them to give you like 3 pounds of food .mostly beef, if that's your choice is even better. I been eating here and showing new friends here for over 10 yrs.“

“I am from out of town i am here visiting my sister in the hospital. I was looking for a good teryaki plate for my wife and I. I read reviews and I decided to try hi bbq. The customer service was great,the price was good and the food was excellent. The ginger dressing was tangy and really good for the salad. The chicken and steak was flavorful and the macaroni salad was really good. Until my sister comes home this will be the place we will go to. If you are looking for really good food at a good price I highly recommend hi bbq. Also the staff was really nice and the place is very comfortable.“

“Out of every single sushi I have tried, not a single one fails to disappoint me. Their crab meat is the best and it does not get better than theirs. Such low prices for VERY high quality and savory foods. Their poki bowls are the best too. Hot warm rice mixed with fresh cold seafood goes perfect with any weather. Especially when it is so savory and refreshing. The prices are shocking for how high quality their food is. Regarding prices, this place has the best seafood out of every single seafood place I have tried in all of Orange and in general. “I have recently grown to really like poke and I've been testing out places around the Fullerton-Placentia area. PokeCo and Pokeworks are both really good, but they are decently pricey. This place offers essentially the same options but at 3-4 dollars less, which is a lot for a simple lunch food! The Poke I got was tasty with sizable portions. The young lady that served me (I wish I would've asked for her name, but she had a few tattoos, maybe latina, with honey blonde hair and spoke in a sweet soft voice) was super helpful about picking my options. I've been wanting to come here for awhile because I love poke and supporting small businesses, and I can astutely say I'll come back here over other options. More people should come here, it deserves the love!“

“This place was so fire, I literally rushed onto my phone to leave this review. I ordered a takeout bowl off of uber eats while visiting Anaheim and I’m pleasantly surprised with my choice. I had ahi tuna, spicy salmon, albacore crab salad, sweet corn, cilantro, eel sauce, crispy onion, spicy ponzu and cucumbers… I’m in heaven! The nachos on the side really took it to another level. Will definitely order here again when I’m in town“
