“BEST wagashi in the West Coast indeed!
I waited to try the other wagashi place we found in the Sacramento area before reviewing this place and therefore we conclude, they have the best mochis!
Staff is super friendly and kind 😭 would really love to go here again if ever we are down in SoCal!“

“Great small location with delicious pastries. I've had most of them and I can't quite choose a favorite because they are all so good. Give this place a try and visit too. Don't forget to order their fresh brewed coffee as well. Yummmm!“

“First, I like to clarify the two store names (Paran Poong Cha and Blue Windmill Bakery) are the same bakery located at 15200 S. Western Ave. So my review applies to both names. This is our second time at the store and this time we bought a mini blueberry cake and 4 red bean buns. The blueberry mini cake is good, not too sweet and you can see the fresh blueberries. The fresh creme is not as light and fluffy as Angel Maid's in West LA and the cake is a little denser than Angel Maid's. Overall, the cake is enjoyable and is good alternative to Angel Maid's. Next, the red bean buns are, black sesame, sweet potato and traditional red bean bun. I have not seen so much red bean filling in a bun and when you pick up the bun, you can feel how heavy the bun is. The buns are very tasty if you enjoy red bean. The sweet potato red bean is a lovely surprise, it's one of the best we tried. The filling is a mix of red bean paste and sweet potato paste, so creamy and delicious, It's a hit in our family. Finally, the owner is very generous, she gave us two types of red paste buns to try. The red bean buns are between $3.50 to $4 each. We will definitely be back again! Note, they are closed on Sundays!“

“i have to say La Mousse has some of the best deserts I have ever had. My only problem is that I always eat too much because they taste so good.“
“I came to Mammoth Bakery to pick up some baked goods as souvenirs before heading back home, I grabbed the mini Madeleines, green tea Madeleines, and two boxes of their assorted mini desserts. The staff was super friendly and polite, even giving me complimentary raisin bread with my order!
The baked goods are extremely fresh, delicate, perfectly sweet, and pair extremely well with coffee and tea. I absolutely love these and I'm so glad I got extra to bring back for my friends and family at home! Can't wait to come back and try more of their delicious desserts!“

“My experience here at the Sweeties Bakery was AMAZING. I was put on by a friend years ago. In the year 2015. So now I’m ordering my cakes here for any occasion. The cakes here aren’t too sweet or bitter. They in the perfect consistency. I just recently order a baby shower cake and I’m hype to see the results. They also have pre made cakes incase anyone wants a quick and out cake to take for any occasion. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommend any friends or family to this bakery.
Update: I have gotten the cake for the baby shower. And it was just how I want it.“

“Korean coffee shop with tasty little treats. Came here for coffee with a friend on a weekday morning and there was a good amount of people. Tried the bagel with garlic cream cheese and the pistachio croissant along with a matcha latte. The food is self-service and then you pay/order at the counter for the drinks. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. Plaza parking is available underground but be sure to read the signs as some spots are reserved for certain businesses.“

“Beard Papa makes delicious cream puffs. They have an assortment of shells and fillings which you can create delicious treats. These cream puffs stay firm, days after they’re filled and still delicious. These make terrific sweet treats, gifts or a simple dessert. Next time you’re thinking of buying a cake or pie, get a box of these instead, you’ll thank me. The store front counter is right in front if you, its always clean and the staff are very polite. This is inside a Japanese market, you can shop for groceries and other food stalls too. There is plenty of parking in the lot.“

“This is said to be the oldest and most beloved mochi shop in the area.
We picked up a 10-piece assortment that included ohagi, injeolmi mochi, steamed buns, and various manju.
The store itself looks like it’s barely hanging on—honestly, you might walk right past it if you didn’t know what you were looking for.
But the flavors are simple, clean, and feel homemade. No artificial aftertaste or overpowering sweetness—just old-school comfort.
I especially liked the ohagi and the cinnamon manju.
One of my companions loved the injeolmi mochi and also the cinnamon manju, while another really enjoyed the steamed bun and the white bean-filled manju.
If you appreciate traditional flavors and a nostalgic, home-style vibe, this place is worth checking out.“
