“Wow! I've never eaten much Armenian food, but I figured heck, why not? Was not disappointed! I got their namesake, and LOVE IT! All those herbs chopped up and wrapped up? On top of that, the mint and thyme tea? Yeah... I was sort of suffering some weird thing where I kept having to clear my throat. Tons of "ahems" and other old people noises ??. But just a bite of that Zhengyalov Hatz, and honestly I was healed! Some of the best food, and quite healthy! For sure, I'm coming back, and I'm bringing friends!“

“I never make reviews, but I love this place so much that I want to make sure it gets the traffic it deserves. The pastries are amazing (and I have tried many places - I am French in LA struggling to find it). Lattes are on par. A must go when in Montrose.
Pastries and drinks are on the expensive side, compared to a chain like Peets and so on, but matches the quality, and I have seen more expensive for less quality.“

“So excited and proud Sugarbird finally has a storefront. My family and I have followed Chef & Owner Kei since it first started and only had regular priority mail delivery and pickup from a co-op location in Downtown LA. I stopped by after the Montrose Farmers Market, where Sugarbird was before and I believe still is for other Farmers Markets, and Kei herself was managing the store. She was nice and really excited to finally have her own storefront. I got a free tea, free clotted cream, the tea sandwich set, six scones (ube, lemon blueberry, matcha, fig & rosemary, passionfruit & earl grey) and shortbread cookies.“

The tahini bread, however, was very good. It is very cheap so I can see why the quality compared to the price gives this place high ratings.“

“This is a mocha filled cake. I brought these fresh flowers 1 day before the event. Although, my daughter’s instructions was to include red melted chocolate on this rustic/vintage themed cake but they did NOT. I can see why, it would have taken away from the theme. they have such a great eye in designing and captivating one’s imagination . They delivered the cake on time and the extra flowers were also returned. Definitely, recommend to friends and families!“

This was my first order from Van, and I was pretty sure it would be tasty and satisfy my expectations because they wrote: "Under New Management!" “Fresh warm gooey cookie, literally everything youd love in a cookie. i was skeptical at first because im usually not a fan of a chubby cookie, i dont mean to discriminate towards the thiccer cookies but some of them are dry. when i tell you this was the best chubby cookie ive ever had i dont take that lightly. it wasnt too sweet it had a perfect contrast of crunch to chew ratio. absolutely a delicious cookie. genuinely i would have liked a sugar cookie on the menu but thats just a personal preference. the service was great, i was offered a complimentary pumpkin spice cookie to try, im not a fan of pumpkin spice so i gave that to my mother who really enjoyed it. the location with warehouse situation was interesting, but they made it easy just call and they bring it right to you. it was my first time but based off everything, ill definitely be back! highly recommend the chocolate chip, its just an all around great cookie.“

A lady who handed cake to me her name was also Hanna with no H at the ends she was very kind and thoughtful.Most important thing was my friend really loved a cake and told me it was best cake ever she had which I felt very warm as well!Thank you!“

I went again to buy bread, but I could not find same. so I decided to go directly to the bakery store, but it seems it is closed, and it was only a week in between.. “I have come her many times. The bread is good and better then vallarta’s pan dulce. The bread tastes equally or better then some panaderías in México. At least the bread i like (elotitos). Staff is courteous and attentive. I think they should have soy milk options. I also think they should sell guajolotes, (tamale with bolillo)(put it together for you). Usually easy to find parking.The young ladies at the counter are mostly very rude. It seems like they are not happy or maybe they are not getting well compensated.
