“First off don't let their exterior scare you off. I drove by the restaurant, saw the darkened for and no windows and almost left without going inside. I was pleasantly surprised to find a bright welcoming restaurant inside. I ordered the lunch special. It was up quickly and they packed my to-go bag with chopsticks, plastic ware, napkins and extra sauce packets! Food was tasty and fresh. Definitely coming back again.“

“This is such a hidden gem. Cam, the owner, along with his wife and a small team helpful employees made our night. The omakase is awesome and the quality of the fish was outstanding. While visiting Folsom I stumbled upon this gem of a place. I ordered a rice teriyaki dish with tofu and vegetables.
It was excellent!! Real tofu not the spongy kind. The portion was a good size. It was so tasty and light. Not full of oil. The owner, I'm assuming, was friendly and had lots of pride on his excellent dish. I ordered a to go chicken noodle dish for my son. He also raved about how good it was. My new favorite place to go to.“

“I really don’t want more people to find out about this secret spot, but amazing. I’m kinda meh about seafood but this place has me coming 1-2 times a month per tradition. Best fish to rice ratio on nigiri ever. Quality is top notch for all you can eat. Gyoza (potstickers) and bulgogi (beef) make great appetizers. Best of all they don’t make you wait too long between plates. But expect a wait to get in as it is very popular. Expect 30,60,90 minute wait times if you’re coming on a weekend or busy times. But go go go.

I walked into the restaurant and was greeted by a young man behind the counter. I thought it was nice to see the menu very large on the wall. Easy for someone who wants to take-out. The establishment is nice and was very clean. I don't think I would have stayed because it was very hot inside. Almost as hot as it was outside. I think this restaurant needs better ventilation. That was my only issue. I ordered the Folsom Lake. It was VERY GOOD and the presentation was also very good. I will be going back to get this sushi roll again and getting it for take-out. Enjoy!“

“Gift card scam. Mikunis implemented a new protocol in 2022. Any gift cards that were purchased before a certain (unknown) date, and now utilized, will be zeroed out. Back story: I attempted to use a gift card today (April 2023) and was informed it had a zero balance. The server kept my card. I had a gut feeling, asked for the card back. I spoke to the manager about how I could have a zero balance when I had never used it. The manager informed me that corporate zeroed out all gift cards that weren’t used. In order for me to get my money on the gift card, I have to call corporate headquarters and “request” an inquiry; which I did to no avail. It’s not about “expired” gift cards. It’s about not informing consumers ahead of a new rule that gift cards be zeroed out before a certain date. I’ve used 10 year old gift cards at other restaurants without any problem. Biggest scam ever.“

It's certainly not fancy, but it would not be out of place in a back alley of Osaka. Authentic prices too, very reasonable for the quantity and quality.

“I tried the hot stone Bibimbap here and it was DELICIOUS. The house sauce was really good, I also loved the greens and fresh vegetables and tofu. Their kimchi was also very good, too! “Mizuki in Citrus Heights is hands down my favorite spots for sushi in Sacramento. It’s become a go-to for our work (Deacon) crew for years; we’re here so often that the owner, Ella, knows us all by name. That personal touch makes every visit feel special.

The food is consistently amazing. The Red Dragon roll is my favorite with jalapeño peppers also it’s just packs the perfect kick. The Citrus Roll is fresh, flavorful, and a perfect signature touch. And don’t even get me started on the gyoza—easily the best in town. Pam seared to perfection on the outside, flavorful inside, and always served piping hot.

Whether it’s a casual lunch or a post-shift sushi fix, Mizuki is always my go-to. Can’t recommend it enough!“
