“Today was the first visit I had and Edwin’s. I had to meet someone nearby and decided to go in to support. I wish I lived closer because Edwin’s is so wonderful!! The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. The scones were gigantic and the pastries looked like anime food. I saw a menu board featuring bagel sandwiches that looked tempting. I decided to get one of each flavor of danish (raspberry, blueberry & blackberry). The crisp, tender layers in each bite are magical! The perfect balance of sweet and tart was on point. The juices from the berries carmalized the edges nicely. It was so nostalgic to have something so delightful that it reminded me of my great granny. I had a simple black Colombian coffee and it was a great pairing for the pastries. It was mild yet rich flavor. I’m looking forward to more visits.“

“my adult son and I just walked in, sat down and we were going to order food for both of us and my son had a tea in hand and I had a coffee, we planned on being there for a while and poetically would have gotten drinks at some point. A tall skinny guy says to us across the room, you can't bring drinks in your have to leave. I said we were going to buy two meals, he says "doesn't change the rules!" in a snarky tone! Customer service is everything, does it really hurt anyone that we had a coffee and tea in hand? They just lost 2 meal purchases and now we will never come back here and when one person has a bad experience generally they tell about 24 people in general conversation. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it perfect whether you want to relax or get some work done.

Even though they were busy, the staff still greeted me warmly and were incredibly kind. That alone makes a huge difference. The prices are very reasonable, and the food quality is excellent. I had the egg sandwich with a side of avocado and it was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I needed.

“My favorite coffee place in Auburn. I've been coming here on and off for 10 years (I don't live locally) because of their peanut butter mocha. I get it without the ice cream or whipped cream and have it made with soy, and it is STILL thick and creamy. It's delicious and amazing.

The space itself has a good coffee shop vibe, Wi-Fi (though I was having issues with it last time I was there), and an extensive food menu. If you're in town, I definitely recommend it!“

“Ok to start I live in monterey county, here for a work trip. The date was December 3rd around 9:30 am. Went into starbucks to grab a drink, and was greeted by the ENTIRE staff. When I say that was the best experience I have ever had in a starbucks. Denis, Madison, and Kiannah complimented my outfit and that made my morning, just the care and curiosity about my day Denis expressed really made my experience better. Madison and Kiannah were so bubbly and it really showed the staff here was working as a TEAM. Im a manager in retail, and this is exactly what work environments should be like. They made a thought pop up in my mind about moving there and being friends with these ladies! Great job to this location!!! Delicious coffee was made as well ;)“

“In my opinion, Dutch Bros is unique in two ways. First, the sugar free options provide huge variety in the types of drinks you can enjoy on a diet. My go to is the sugar free carmalizer, it feels like a milk shake with only 12 carbs for a medium. And, it tastes great!

But the other unique thing is the culture. Everyone is VERY up and positive. If you don't want an over the top happy person to take your coffee order, perhaps the opposite of how you feel before having that first, early coffee, then maybe choose a coffee shop with grumpy baristas. But I enjoy the hyper positivity making a good visit every time.“

What a breath of fresh air East Ave Cafe is! You walk in into the freshly appointed shop and are instantly greeted by a barista. Not only instantly, but sincerely greeted making you feel welcomed as a guest of theirs.

The interior is all brand new and clean feeling. Subtle music playing with plenty of places to sit. The menu is straightforward with enough choices but not too many.

I ordered a large Cold Brew with toffee crunch syrup. Finally an independent shop that doesn’t have the sour, fruity tasting coffee that most do in the Sac region.

Lastly, and most originally, this is a Christian coffee shop where the proceeds help an adjacent church. Anyone would be welcomed, seen, and valued here though, MUCH more so than the Starbucks.“

“visited this Starbucks on Veterans Day with a group of four, and it ended up being one of the best Starbucks experiences I’ve ever had. Starbucks was offering free coffee for veterans and active-duty military, so we stopped by to grab our caffeine and take advantage of the promotion — but what really stood out wasn’t the coffee, it was the service.

We were greeted by a woman named Tami, and she was incredible. She wasn’t just polite — she genuinely took the time to talk with each of us. She asked how long we’ve been in the military, what we do, whether we enjoy it, and if we plan on making a career out of it. She even shared stories about her son. It wasn’t the typical quick, automated Starbucks exchange — it felt real, warm, and sincere.

Tami even stepped out from behind the counter to continue the conversation, and that level of kindness and connection left a lasting impression on all of us. Her attitude, work ethic, and people skills are outstanding, and I’m truly grateful for the way she treated us. Experiences like that mean a lot, especially on Veterans Day.

Highly recommend this location — and huge appreciation to Tami for making our visit so memorable.“
