“Fantastic, clean, hole in the wall Mexican place. Had a chicken burrito, which was just fabulous. Fantastic flavor. We also had the chicken Mole, which was very good, I was wishing for a little sour cream, but that isn't the style there. Chips and salsa were complimentary, and excellent. Didn't get a rumbling tummy after, which is always welcome. Will be back.“

The sandwiches were a great value for their price, mine had so much chicken it was difficult to bite. The variety was amazing, and customization options increased that even more. “I got an unexpected day off and thought it would be perfect to start with coffee. When going to a new coffee shop, I always start with a latte. I think you can tell a lot about the shop and the coffee by the quality of a simple latte. This one was absolutely delicious. Coffee was rich but not bitter. Perfect amount of coffee to milk. I love that they roast their beans on the premises. And in fact I took home a bag of their medium roast to use as my day off coffee at home. The staff member who helped me was cheerful and pleasant. The setting was very comfy. I will absolutely be back.“

“Such a warm,family- friendly place to visit. It’s so beautiful to sit amongst the plants that are for sale and lots of shade and nice music while sipping beer and soft drinks. Often there is a food truck available so you are able to dine as well! The gift shop, workshops and craft fairs are an added bonus!“

“Absolutely loved the fish and chips! I decided to try Slappy's after checking ratings and was pleasantly pleased. Three nice size pieces of fish that are hand battered,the batter is seasoned and people let me tell you the french fries were insanely out of this world fantastic. The fries look like they have a coating on them but not covered completely in the coating. I know that sounds crazy but it's true my friend and I could not stop eating them so worth the money. I walked up to the side window about 630 it was really good you guys I can't say it enough. There was only one lady working in the kitchen and she was so nice. Go check this place out. They've got a nice little menu of different things not just fish and chips and of course chowder.“

“This was my first time here and it was so much fun and very friendly atmosphere. Shoutout to the bartender, Crystal, who ran the show. I had the chocolate mint wine. It was delicious, and everyone else wanted some, but they ran out, so if you want some, call ahead to be sure they have enough, and that it is on ice.“

Al Rodriguez, the owner was as nice & welcoming as could be. He explained that he is a one operator shop & usually runs out of orders early but after hearing that of my many attempts to try his tamales, he made one just for us to sample.“

My Mocha Frappe was perfect again, window cashier engaged me in friendly chat while my drink was made. “This is my second visit to Santa Maria for work, and the second time staying at the Santa Maria Inn. I’ll start with the rooms, I’ve only stayed in the newer rooms (tower) and I love! The original rooms are older because it’s a historical hotel, so know that when coming. This hotel has it all, no need to leave, pool, 2+ bars, and a restaurant with great food. I came to the bar everyday after work (don’t judge). The vibe is on point, brunch on Sundays with bottomless mimosas, say less!! Tiffany is in the bar on (Sunday) and let me tell you from a back in the day server, she is giving the hospitality vibes and surely bringing people back no doubt! Super sweet, attentive and even remembered me from months past, (speaks to my server soul)! If not for the sweet front dest staff and good food, come for the tasty libations and Tiffany!!“

“Manager is amazing, he is super friendly and catered to us! The lady with the glasses was very helpful as well. The food put the cherry on top, I love that you guys offer vegan options too. Best of both worlds when going here. I will say the booths are a little uncomfortable but the hospitality makes up for it! Love coming here!

“Down home diner. Food portions are good size. Inside is small, but I personally prefer eating on the patio. Family friendly and they make you feel welcomed. We have eaten there quite a few times and will be back. Sometimes service has been slower than other times, but that depends on how busy they have been.

Kid-friendliness: My granddaughter loves coloring the ground in chalk when we go there.“

“Live down the street, been wanting to check Fire and Vice out- today was the day.
Had a great experience. Justin helped with our food selection since it was our first time- I had a spicy Hawaiian pizza ( delicious) and the bf had a spicy Italian sausage with onion rings. Even the onion rings were just right- not over done and melted in your mouth.
If you haven’t been by yet- I recommend go see what you have been missing out on!
They have a beer and wine bar, outside dinning if you and friends and or family wanna hang out and enjoy drinks around a fire table - just tell Justin and he will get it going for you!
I plan on returning- especially to try the coffee menu.
Lastly- the prices are reasonable. We appreciate that. Thank you Justin and Fire and Vice. I will be seeing you again soon.“
