“What a fabulous evening, we all unanimously agreed that Pasta Moon is our new go to dinner spot when we are in Half Moon Bay. The food, service and ambiance were perfect and the Roasted Chiogga and Golden Beet Salad was amazing.“

“Well prepared pizza with great fresh ingredients. The dough was just the right thickness, cheeses, sauces (garlic and pesto) were good quality, the ingredients were fresh and generous. Very friendly crew. In door dining clean and comfortable. Noisy fridge otherwise good. Parking very available and easy access from main roads (cabrillo hwy and san mateo rd). Wow what a blast - never thought i find pizza like this anymore in the bayarea. Thanks Pedro & crew!“

“This is exactly the type of establishment we were looking for - casual, warm, and with delicious food. Hassan and his team took care of me and my daughter. My vegetarian daughter had their amazing moussaka and dolma. And the rice pudding was out of this world!“

“Really fantastic gelato. There was a well-deserved line around the building and the guys working handled the rush wonderfully. Gelato worth the drive from SF, and the owner is lovely. I had espresso and chocolate. My husband had pistachio and ginger cookie (speculoos). The pistachio was in the top 3 of pistachio flavored things I have ever tasted. Bravo on the flavors. “We have been here a couple times ever since a few years ago, when I think they just opened. The food never disappoints. I don’t often come by Japanese food that stand out, and this place does, in many ways like the presentation, taste and variety of food offered. Having spent many years in Vancouver, I’ve had a fair bit of Japanese food growing up.

The service is great too. Our waitress is quick, patient, and recommended a dish that we loved.

There is outdoor dining area in addition to indoor. There are two spacious bathrooms, relatively clean.

All in all, this is one of the top Japanese restaurants in the area and my personal favorite. I hope more people get to enjoy it like I do.“

“This took me far too long to write, but I wanted to find the right words to say. My husband and I had been waiting two long years to get married. We postponed twice because of the pandemic and in the course of that time changed our venue to San Benito House. Let me tell you, that was the BEST decision we ever made. Not only is the venue itself incredibly beautiful and the food so delicious, but Kai and his staff bent over backwards for us and all of our guests. Kai is the ultimate hype guy and he took what normally would have been a stressful event to plan, and made it so easy and fun. I would (and will) recommend that anyone who is wanting a Half Moon Bay wedding, that this is the ultimate place to go. Our guests are still talking about the day and if we could, we’d do it 1000 times over just to experience the magic again. Thank you, thank you, thank you! “We visited Flying Fish during the Pumpkin Festival weekend. Even with the crowds and hectic parking situation, our party of 10 was seated right away. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better.

We ordered a variety of dishes — calamari, fish and chips, clam chowder (both in a bread bowl and in a regular bowl), and the seafood cioppino. Everything was delicious! My favorites were the fish and chips and the calamari. Portions were great, the food came out fresh, and the flavors were spot on.

Overall, a fantastic spot for seafood in Half Moon Bay. We’ll definitely be back!“

“We chose sushi takeout and it was awesome. Two rolls, nigiri chef choice plate, yaki tori, and simple noodles. Lots of fish; these are good portions. Had the nigiri for lunch the next day. Not sure why some low reviews. My experience was great!“
