“This Thai/Lao spot is truly a hidden gem in the Industrial area of Hayward off Highway 92. Fortunately, it's right off the freeway at the Clawiter/Eden Landing and you can spot it along the freeway.
Offering Thai and Lao food with some sushi rolls but I'm here for the Thai/Lao food as I love Nam Khao which is Southeast Asian crispy rice salad (with Lao pork) with plenty of flavor and textures accompanied with peanuts, mint, cilantro and lettuce for wrapping.
Royal Lao does a good one with plenty of bold flavors and heat (I asked for medium). The only comment I have for this dish it wasn't crispy (and not due to take out) so no crunch to it at all...no worries...popped into the air fryer and perfect! 4/5
:: Chicken Larb - ground chicken, herbs like mint, lime and fish sauce and chili with some cucumber and salad. - Flavorful and yummy. 4/5
:: Pork skewer (4) - good and juicy but could've been charred a bit to render some of the fat and get some caramelization from the sugars. Accompanied by a tomato-based sauce 3.5/5
Service friendly and efficient. Spoke to the owner, Noi and she mentioned the place has been there a year. Great option for Thai/Lao in the area as not many unless you go to East Oakland (Champa!) and head to Stockton's Angel Cruz Park.
Highly recommend stopping by. Place has a few tables for dining (no table service) but set up for take out. Pricing in line with similar spots. I'll definitely return to try other items and for the Nem Khao! Thank you Noi!
Note: Best to call or place order online to minimize wait.“

“Went on a date and got some absolutely delicious sushi 🍣 the prices are much better than almost all the sushi restaurants in the area while still maintaining quality. It does depend on what you get, but if you find the good rolls then this will become your favorite spot in downtown Hayward for sushi!!“
“Apparently I've been driving right by this place for a while, but it happened to catch my eye today. I stopped in and ended up getting the sashimi donburi. It was excellent! The fish was fresh and very good quality, the rice was well seasoned as well. Though slightly more expensive than some other to-go sushi options, the quality of ingredients made the donburi well worth it for the price paid and is overall a very good value.“

“A small spot located in downtown Hayward is a great spot for some fresh and tasty sushi. I didn’t take picture of everything we ordered, but ordered chicken teriyaki, chirashi bowl, a special roll and nigiri. All were good quantities for the price. The place is small and tight space with only a few tables, but such a good spot. They do takeout as well!“

“This is the ramen place you are craving. My sister and I have been in search for some great ramen since our previous fav place changed owners. Haha is absolutely positively amazing in every way. Our roll was so fresh and the squid balls were hot and yummy! THE RAMEN. Spicy garlic tonkatsu, my oh MY. The broth is so rich, every bite was infused! The perfect balance of spicy and savory! The people are so incredibly kind and attentive. The atmosphere, affordable prices, portions, flavors 10/10.“

“This place is worth a shot! We did AYCE on Sunday afternoon and were seated immediately. The price matches the quality of the fish similar to kaiten sushi. The service was really kind and quick. There’s an easy online ordering system after they took our initial order.
Appetizers:Get the takoyaki! Good balance of ingredients. Skip the karaage and shrimp tempura — it’s too much batter and gets hard/tough instead of being light and fluffy.
Rolls: The Cherry Blossom roll was our favorite with the tuna and salmon tasting fresh. The scallop king roll was skippable - it was just a warm California roll.
Everything else: Fresh salmon sashimi. The Omakase box was good - definitely a must order. The Walu tataki is a skip but maybe it’s just that the texture wasn’t for me.“

“I had an amazing experience at this Japanese restaurant. The service was exceptional—our waiter was friendly, attentive, and guided us through the menu with helpful recommendations. The food was outstanding, with the sushi being incredibly fresh and the ramen having a depth of flavor that was just perfect. The ambiance was equally impressive, with a minimalist yet warm decor that made the dining experience feel cozy and intimate. Soft lighting and traditional Japanese elements created a peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommend this spot!“

“The fish was very fresh and absolutely delicious. I will definitely be coming back.
The only suggestion I have is regarding the tableware. I think using ceramic dishes for the soy sauce, plates, and tea cups would enhance the overall dining experience.
The quality of the food is excellent, but using plastic tableware makes it feel less consistent with the price point and takes away from the overall experience. Of course, this is just my personal opinion.“
