The restaurant is very cosy and well managed, the food is delicious healthy and the plates well served. People are efficient, dedicated and polite. “Boichik is a weekly favorite of mine. You can't go wrong with your choice of bagel, although pumpernickel caraway salt is currently my top choice. The coffee's good too, hot or iced. On top of everything, everyone who works there is super, super nice. SPECIAL SHOUT OUT to Lisa! She always makes my day and never fails to brighten up the room :)Last thing to keep in mind for the uninitiated: there's limited seating (especially when it's raining -- there are just 4 tables inside) and the bagels tend to get sold out before 11:30-12 on the weekend.Vegetarian options: They have vegan cream cheese (plain, strawberry, or chive) and several of their bagels are inherently vegan. Vegan creamer is available as well.“

“Highly recommend the Paneer achari twist thin crust pizza! Very flavorful, could go little low on cheese. The pesto pasta was a bit dry. Seasoned fries were good. As a former Cal student, I would hit Zachary's to take in their infamous stuffed pies. They're still keeping the tradition after 40 years. If you haven't had one, you're in for a tasty, hearty meal.“

“It is a very large place, very good atmosphere, the food is delicious and healthy, the portions are quite large, the price is quite reasonable, and the service is good and the food usually does not take long and the atmosphere is quite calm, kind of romantic dinner but for breakfast.“

“Been here multiple times and Aung MayLika never misses! Whenever I'm craving something homey and comforting, this is where I tend to gravitate. The food is just so flavorful! Some of my favorite dishes to order are the salt and pepper swai, the tea leaf salad, and the palatha with side of curry. Also, you can never go wrong with their Burmese milk tea. Service is usually quick and pleasant, even when they are packed with a full house. I usually dine-in for dinner, and they consistently satisfy my Burmese food cravings each time! They have a great selection of both meat and vegetarian dishes, soups, rice and noodle dishes, and some chef's specials, so there is definitely something for everyone! If you're a fan of Burmese food, I highly, highly recommend coming to Aung Maylika to get your fix! And if not, please try it out!“

“I hate to say it but we order from this café often via DoorDash. To be honest, when it comes to a dirty chai latte, this café has it on lock! I will also say that, since they've changed l ownership, the food has improved dramatically! Keep up the great work!I haven't been in the location lately to see what the ambience is like but when I was there a couple of months ago it was very casual yet, cozy. This staff was inviting, although the area itself has his ups and downs.“

“Kurabuta pork and truffle oil dumpling soup easily served two as did the fried organic chicken breast sandwich on an Acme torpedo roll. Soup was complex and wonderful. Sandwich was hearty. Pick up times are accurate, if you arrive very early they have beautiful cookbooks to page through. Service is excellent. Once I found parking right in front. More often arrived at pickup time, order was ready, back in car in less than 5 minutes. Also, parking on west side of 23rd just north of Macdonald. There are fewer spots on east side of 23rd because of curb cutouts for the large McDonald's parking lot. (And if you see a hint there, OK.)“

I had scrambled eggs with cheese and the veggie sausage since they had it, and Im allergic to pork. Otherwise, I would have asked them to just remove the meat from my order.To drink, I chose the hot chocolate and forgot to take the picture before I began drinking it. The waffle was able to hold up to the moisture of the toppings as well, which is always a bonus.A couple of things I noticed when people watching the staff is this:1. They all enjoy working there2. They dont wash their hands enough between touching the cash register and your food3. They dont have a drop plate under the drink dispenser and spill liquid on the floor, which is carpeted. I can only imagine the number of germs that spread. And seeing ine waitress pick something up off the floor and toss it out without washing her hands after, worried me.Improving these few things would make this place even better than it is. The staff were all friendly and helped each other. They communicate well and just need to wash their hands a little bit more often to keep germs from spreading.In the meantime, check out the images attached to my review to see what I had. “We mainly come here for their $1 Taco Tuesdays, which are excellent and better than a lot of the restaurant tacos which cost a lot more. The staff is always pleasant and helpful, and if you're not a beer drinker soft drink or coffee refills are plentiful. One semi-negative is that I don't think their Thursday special "Big Max" is as good as the Mickey D's variety. Haven't tried their weekend breakfast yet but on the menu it looks good.“

“This is our favorite non-fancy bougie breakfast and coffee place in Berkeley. I always get the croissant breakfast sandwich with orange juice. They also serve THE avocado toast (the one that prevents us millennials from buying property) and their iced coffees are delicious too.“

“My husband and I stopped in for sandwiches. Everything there is pre-made which they call Grab and Go. I had the Coronation Chicken and my husband had the Tarragon Chicken. They were delicious and the prices were reasonable. We also had a Southwestern Salad which was good but I thought it could use more corn and black beans. I understand that food costs are really high. They have a few tables to eat in. They also have Take and Bake dinners which I want to try. I think those have to be pre-ordered. We will be back even though it's a bit of a drive for us.“

“Delicious BBQ at an affordable price. Gracie's has always held a place in my heart since they are working from the trailer off springs rd. The food is the same if not better than then. The meats were delectable, and the side dishes complimented them truly. I got the family meal between my wife and I, planning to take home the leftovers for later, and the very helpful waiter informed me that that meal serves 6 adults and it would be a large amount of food which was very considerate.“

“Ramen restaurants are popping up everywhere nowadays! Yummy house is good and the prices are competitive with other ramen restaurants. I had the vegetable ramen and it appears to be the only ramen dish that don't use pork broth. For $12.99 it was a tasty bowl of portions. I also had the salmon tuna poke and that was a very tasty treat that I took to go and ate it at home while watching Fubar on Netflix, lol. Sorry, i forgot to take a picture of the ramen bowl. ?“

“Came here with a small group of friends. It was a nice day out so we enjoyed the outdoor seating on their patio. Dog friendly outside. I had the Western burger and a salad we got one curly fry that we were all able to share! Everything was delicious. The service was quick and everything was served fresh. “My daughters and I had a birthday celebration dinner at Barney's yesterday. This was the first time I have eaten at a restaurant since the beginning of the pandemic so it was wonderful to have outdoor seating because I felt very comfortable. I would really like to commend the waitstaff. They were incredibly nice and so attentive! I worked in the hospitality industry before the pandemic, and I know how important it is to provide great customer service. The food was excellent. We ordered Cobb salads, three different types of fries and I enjoyed a salmon burger. My daughter had a great hamburger. I also appreciate the fact that takeout boxes are provided because we ordered more than we could eat at one sitting. Thank you for making my daughter's birthday celebration so epic.
