“Yummy wine as be delicious food!“

“Almost every employee has a thiqqq italian accent so big points on authenticity. We ordered the yellowtail grapefruit appetizer, pear and arugula salad, mushroom tagliatelle, and the seafood spaghetti. The pasta was extremely fresh and made in house, one of the greatest meals I’ve had in the South Bay. Service was executed brilliantly and the vibes were through the roof. I want to live at Stecca Taverna but they don’t allow that so I will just frequent whenever I can.“

“Spumoni Trattoria & Pizzeria has great service, food, and atmosphere! We visited on a Friday night and the two of us were able to be seated right away. They had live music serenading us which made the evening so romantic. The food was to die for, and the wine was reasonably priced. This made for one of the best date nights we've had in a while - we will definitely be back!

Quick notes - it is a small restaurant, so if you come with a group, I would definitely call ahead.
They also allow you to bring your own wine for a corkage fee, so that is also an option.“

“This is a decent Italian restaurant. If you live far, it’s not worth the trip.

Parking is street and neighborhood parking in those cramped LA residential neighborhoods.

Restaurant seems small. It’s dimly lit and has a romantic atmosphere.

We had squash blossoms. The fry on it was good. It was very light and crispy. It doesn’t really have much flavor to it though in my opinion. I’d much rather have very good tempura. Still, this was interesting to try if you’ve never had it.

I had the pappardelle because there was no other cheesy pasta available. I don’t like the flavor of pecorino cheeses and thats what most dishes had. It wasn’t memorable but the pasta itself was good.

The orecchiette was good, but the flavor reminded me of Chinese spicy flavors. For that reason alone, I’d rather just eat Chinese food for a fraction of the price.

“If you go to Giuliano's, go prepared to eat Italian food for a couple of days. Get a sandwich- I discovered, and enjoyed- the Grab-n-go yesterday- grab some pre-made meals and salads (the penne with sausage was awesome for dinner yesterday), get some deli meats and salads and some bread for the deli items. Oh- and they have desserts. I've not tried the pizza, but a bunch of folks had them, so I'm sure they are good too. It's a classic Italian deli. If you like that type of store, you will not be disappointed. Only issue- not enough help at the deli counter at 3 pm on a Saturday. But the wait wasn't too bad. Go and enjoy!“

“Our favorite restaurant in LA!

Chef Chris and Sara are both incredible chefs and lovely people. The entire staff is welcoming, efficient and professional. Make sure to get the Baltimore signature if he is on pasta duty!

We’ve had almost everything on the menu, and it leaves us speechless every visit. Our favorites are the chopped salad, tuna crudo, meatballs, vodka sausage pizza, half chicken, and sausage pasta. But you really can’t go wrong!

Love and salt is a must try. Go check it out.“

Wouldn't get again: Pepperoni pizza (nothing special); focaccia (decent but came out lukewarm / cools off very quickly); cheesecake (too expensive for the size; wish it was served colder)

Too loud at night, kinda have to yell to talk.

Really cool vibe; love that they're playing actual vinyl records.

Really cool Faema E61 espresso machine (didn't try any drinks from it tho).

“When I first walked in, I questioned if I should stay or leave. However, it smelled very good so we decided to stay. My friend and I ordered two dishes to share. I ordered a pizza based off the chef recommendation and it was thin crust without outstanding taste. We also ordered the pennetye Alle vodka with sausage. The sauce was so amazingly good. The garlic bread was also fantastic. Very unique from most places garlic bread. Service was a little slow, but was worth the wait. Great job definitely will be back again soon.“

There have been two paintings with me in them, a painted recording of this era of my life! It is unclear what will be happening with the restaurant going forward, as there may be some ownership change. Everyone is sort of holding their breath, and for now, music has not been included in January of 2020. There is talk it could go either way in Feb. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Thank you all who have come and supported me these past few years on Washington Square and I will keep everyone posted as to what settles out in the next bit of time. “What a fantastic discovery. I was craving calzones and used to have a spot in Los Feliz which I would go out of my way for. After trying a few places which fell short of the mark in South Bay, I almost gave up on finding authentic Italian food locally. The search was worth it as this is now going to be one of my forever places to come on a regular basis. From the calzone, to the pizza, salads and even the Cannoli Siciliani Pistacchio, everything has been nothing short of amazing. “We ended up at Lozio Osteria Pizzeria Bar completely by accident. My friends and I were looking for a new place to celebrate my birthday, somewhere we hadn’t been before, and this turned out to be such a great find.

Honestly, all the food was absolutely delicious. The truffle fries were especially amazing. We finished them so quickly that we had to order another round.

We had bruschetta, a charcuterie board, Caesar salad, fettuccine bolognese, and carbonara, and everything was spot on. For dessert, we ordered a pistachio cake. The portions were perfect for a group of five girls, and we left happy and full.

The cocktails were also great, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

And the service really made the experience. Our waiter had such a great sense of humor, kept joking with us, and truly lifted the whole mood of the evening.“

The calamari was cooked to perfection, and the clam chowder was so authentic it reminded me of home back in Nova Scotia. I even returned the next day for the seafood linguine, and I’m still thinking about it two days later! If you’re in the San Pedro area, this place is an absolute must-visit.“
