“The manager/owner(?) at this location was extremely friendly and welcoming. Food was fast. Tasty and healthy (don't go overboard on the delicious magic sauce). I like to mix the hot and jalapeño sauces together. Top-knotch Flame Broiler location confirmed.
Parking: Parking in the back and on the street.“

“Food seems to be always fresh and customer service is great. I usually ask for extra rice because I love the rice much more than the meat. I'm not a meat lover because I've had problems with my bite but the rice is so on point with teriyaki sauce and green onion. I miss the orange pieces that they used to serve when they first opened in the city of orange off Chapman/ prospect Blvd in 2011 next to stater brother but that okay nothing stay the same forever. Still enjoy the food either way. Thumbs ?“

“What an amazing little hole in the wall grill. We were going to go to Longboards next door but decided against it. We got chicken and beef plates as well as a side of salmon and a California plate. Everything was fresh. Everything was delicious on the freshness of everything from the meat to the Sriracha. The salad was on point nice and leafy greens. The dressing wasn't too pungent and the sauce wasn't too heavy or old. Appreciation to the owner for having love in his restaurant and providing some beautiful grill food! On top of that this place was so speedy and fast. It made for a good to go place when we were in a hurry to get home to our dogs!“

“Went here for something different. Got the spicy chicken bowl with veggies and rice. It made for a nice lunch. Service was fast and efficient. The chicken was nicely flavored but not well cut or trimmed with a few pieces of gristle. There was way more rice than veggies but overall it was filling. I would return for a non-sandwich lunch.“

“Best Korean BBQ ever. My boss is of Korean decent and invited my wife the kids and I for dinner. It was unbelievably packed on a Tuesday which is always a good. We only waited 15 minutes and got seated. The food the drinks all of it was exceptional not to mention the staff was amazing. We will definitely be back.“

“Nice little place. I was looking for something different from the normal ramen or pho for dinner. I have had jjambbong at a couple of other places and they were good. This place was also good. I ordered the seafood with a rib soup dish and some dumplings. They did not disappoint. The dumplings were chicken with veggies. I put a couple in my soup and that really upped the flavor. The soup can be spicy to many and being an Asian dish it could start you on fire if not careful. I opted to try it mild and it still had some spice. It was a perfect for a cold night. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.“

“Wanted to go somewhere that offered raw marinated crab and I have to tell you that this plans has it and does not disappoint. It tasted so fresh, a little sweet and spicy but oh my lanta it’s to die for. If you’re wanting to try it I definitely would come here if you’re in the area. I also got bulgogi as another dish and the food offered here are nicely portioned. Pretty big, flavorful and soooo good. Service was quick, great and sweet. It is a small little place but I would recommend calling if you were to bring a party of probably 6 or more. Inside it’s like a cute little dine in and not a huge restaurant. The atmosphere is welcoming and warming.“

“I got the short rib soup and it came out pretty fast. The soup was good but I wasn't a big fan of the banchans. The people working there were nice and I would come back to try other menus. Don't expect too much for the banchans though. The place isn't too big but enough space available.“

“This place is great. We were greeted by them and they asked us to wait while they set the table. We happened to catch them at a good time because as soon as we finished ordering the food, the restaurant filled up quickly. The food didn't disappoint. Sometimes what looks good on Instagram doesnt translate in real life. The boys wanted Katsu so they ordered 2 but we honestly only need 1. Pro tip, if you ordered the Katsu and the garlic su yuk, eat the katsu first. Once you have a bite of the 10 hours sous vide pork belly, everything else just tasted tough. Trust me... i was loving the tender pork katsu until I bit into the sous vide pork. After that there was no going back. By the way, the bathroom is clean which is a plus
Kid-friendliness: yes“

“The quality of the pork belly was excellent, and the service of having the staff grill the meat for us made the experience very comfortable. The variety of pickled side dishes was impressive and paired perfectly with the meat. Both the doenjang-jjigae and kimchi-jjigae were absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself was spacious and very clean. One thing I wish was that the staff could have been a bit friendlier, but overall, if you’re looking for authentic Korean-style pork BBQ, I’d definitely recommend this place.“

“The owner was so sweet. I ordered two things to eat in the restaurant knowing well that I’d take the extras home. So, the owner suggested that I order to go so the packaging would be better. She brought my food to me and let me know that I can also get more pickled radish as desired. When she saw that I was done eating, she brought over more radish and helped me pack up my food. It was a great experience!“

“Have been coming here for years! Their jokbal is so chewy and full of collagen. And I can't speak enough about their soondae gookbap, it is very delicious with full of flavors. If you are at H mart for grocery shopping I recommend stopping by at this place to try their food. I high recommend!“

“I'm probably never going back to BCD. No MSG, more flavorful, where has this place been all my life?
I have an MSG/glutamate intolerance so I would have an almost immediate reaction after eating. But this is my second time eating here in two days and no reaction. I confirmed it with the daughter of the owners today. No MSG used. The food and side dishes feel like mom/grandma made them. Full of flavor without MSG, what is this magic? The bulgolgi tastes like caramelized kalbi. Amazing. Each of the side dishes have so much flavor maturation.
The beer is priced the same as most happy hours elsewhere.
What we ordered:
Soon Tofu soup + bulgolgi combo with kimchi beef tofu soup. They give you a small salad to start. The side dishes include kimchi, kimchi cucumber, Korean potato salad (with cucumbers and apples), fish cake, broccoli/or spinach tofu, and marinated bean sprouts. Every single item was flavorful and delicious.
I feel satisfied, nourished, and happy eating here. Such a hidden family-owned gem. Support small business y'all.

“I believe I’ve found the best jjampong in town. The photo is the other half portion I’m trying to finish but couldn’t. For $16 this could easily feed 2 ppl, very generous potion and the broth is super flavorful.
Recommend and would come back again to try other items!“

“Absolutely amazing! This is the spot I’ve been taking everyone. Place inside is kinda small but super cozy and cute. You order at the kiosk and it’s super easy/convenient. They make the food in the front and it definitely adds a personalized touch. My favorites are the seared salmon and unagi yubu! They look small but 3 of them is the perfect amount for meal for me
Dietary restrictions: They prepare the food by the kiosk and you can ask them any questions directly“

“We were having a family get-together so I ordered from Cham. The atmosphere is a food court - nothing fancy, but I was ordering to go. My favorite dish was the spicy chicken skewers with the Korean style white rice (short grain). It had a nice cabbage side dish with it also. So good! I also enjoyed the Soondubu. I tried the rice cakes and I've had better elsewhere. The Korean fried chicken was yummy - crunchy and light. The day before, I also tried their Korean mozzarella corn dog - that was great, fresh and crunchy, and had a matcha boba tea which was really nice - not too sweet. I'd love to go back and try their ramen soups. The lady was very helpful and nice. I would definitely recommend Cham!“

“Newish spot next to HMart that sells Korean fried chicken. Compared to some other Korean Fried Chicken places I've tried, the wings here definitely stands out!The meat is tender and comes right off the bone cleanly and you can see the juices flowing out when you bite in. It's kind of amazing how juicy it is.It is a bit of a wait, but I was given some coleslaw and pickled radish when I dined in. Each table has wet wipes to clean your hands after and a metal bin to discard bones.“

“I cannot leave a review glowing enough to do this place justice. Hands down my new favorite local spot. The Dirty Beer Battered Fries with the Fried Egg were intended as a side but quickly took center stage. Perfectly spicy and flavorful. The chicken tenders were huge white meat pieces. The sauces were all amazing but the soy garlic was outstanding. The portions were huge! The two of us each had full size leftovers and then some. And for under $40! The icing on the cake was the excellent service. Alma, our server, was gracious, attentive and answered all our silly questions. The chef, Raul, plated the best meals we have had in quite some time. Please treat yourself to this gem of a local restaurant. Highly recommend! 👌“
“Extremely good crab dish for about $40 but you get a whole fresh (raw) crab and they show you how to eat it so I was quite happy about it. The server opened up the crab and squeezed the meat out right there for you. I didn’t expect this awesome food performance from the food court type restaurant. Other Korean dishes are very good too. My favorites are the seafood pancake and the tofu soup. Totally worth a stop! One of the not many places I want to be back!“

“Came here over the weekend and the food court was packed! We were lucky to have been able to get seats. Food came nice and hot and each with a set of banchan and really fast.
I highly recommend the eel rice bowl, egg tofu, and galbi. If you’re in the mood for Korean comfort food, k soul food is a solid choice“

“I like the big portion of this restaurant. I went 2 people so we ordered 2 dishes. We tried: 1. Pork Back Bone Stew: very huge portion. The meat is soft and you can feel the broth has been well cooked that gives you the sweet and rich taste. 2. Stir Fried Squid (because I love squid!): very good. This dish can be eaten with rice (if you want to be full) or will paired good with a taste of Soju. The portions are big so don't over ordering or you will have some food to go. The food is a little plaint and there's salt to add (if you are a salty food fan) to assure you don't leave the broth behind. You will feel healthy as you leave the place. Will be great to have for hangover or when you are sick. I went on a weekend night for dinner and the restaurant was a little quiet. I think this place is most suitable for lunch. I would definitely come back to try their other stews and pork belly!“

“The amount of stir-fried squid and sari is good for the price. I also highly recommend the seasoned whelk! The stir-fry stew is not bad. However, the green onion pancake is not so good, so please keep that in mind! (Updated)
The amount of seasoned whelk was so large for the price that it seemed like it could feed 4 people, and it was delicious.“

“All the 1-star reviews are from people who got lost and couldn’t find the place. It’s really not that hard, just drive a little bit further down Fern and you’ll see the signage and gate as the entrance is in the back-lot of the business plaza where Lux Spa is.
The host was extremely nice and the food tasted great. Planning on returning to try more of the menu and the extensive drink selection.“
“I've been coming to this restaurant for a while now, and it's honestly one of my favorites for Korean food. So far I've tried the jajangmyeon, bibimbap, ramen, tteokbokki, galbi (beef ribs), bulgogi (beef), and gimmari (seaweed vegetable rolls). Everything I've gotten off the menu so far is so delicious! My favorites are the bulgogi, jajangmyeon, and galbi! The food is always fresh and hot when you pick it up. Aside from the food, the staff is always so kind and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone looking to try Korean food.“

“Fast service. Love the chefs touch. Warm and golden brown chicken. I always go here after the gym for meal prepping bowls-3- plus a discount. They always have deals and give the best prices. “Hello, last week I went to get my free food from the coupon that you offer to customers but the manager has no activity or personality towards customers. He was rude to me. Apart from me, I have always bought my food with you for a long time regularly. I always go 4 to 5 days a week. I have already seen it on a few times but he always treats you in a rude way and I am paying for my food. I am not asking for things for free. I will always go shopping with you because all the people who work there are very friendly and the people who work in the kitchen are also very friendly. They greet me because I know everyone and they are all very good people and the reason I am complaining is because Mr. Miguel denied me the plate of tofu he said I could only grab the chicken plate and it's okay I understand but he should not be rude to customers and the truth is that I don't like the way he treats you“
“Husband was in the mood for dumplings today. Yay! so we went for a late lunch.Located in the food court of HMart, this dumpling house is nestled towards the back part of the court. There are plenty of seatings to enjoy your meal.Made to order, so it will take a little time. You can wander HMart or the cosmetic shop next door, up to you.Our order:no. 1 - wang man doo with pork and veggies - 4 pieces. the bun is so fluffy and soft. the stuffing is a tender mixture of pork and onions and vermicelli. yum! The pickles that come with the order wakes up the buns. good balance.no. 4 - shaomai dim sum - 10 pieces. I love the sauce it comes with, like a soy vinegar sauce. This dish is best eaten immediately. same filling as the buns I believe. You can reheat by re-steaming at home.Service is friendly.Enjoy! These two orders came out to 27 bucks. Not cheap so be prepared. It is worth it and it does take the labor of love to make these so keep that in mind.“

“This place is about 8 miles from where I live but is always worth the drive. Food is delicious and is served right away. The price is cheaper compared to other Korean bar/restaurants. The army soup was slightly bland, but still hot the spot. Seafood pancake had enough seafood - they didn’t just put a ton of dough. The music was very loud though - I felt like I was at a club.“
“Best cold noodle (naengmyung) restaurant in OC- It's better than K-Town's naengmyung. The only issue is that lines are long so long- uber long. My friends usually wait for an hour. Parking is not easy either. You have to go around to find parking. But it has the best naemyung so it is worth it. Just come prepared to look for parking and wait a bit- and you will be rewarded with delicious naengmyung.“

“Overall service was satisfactory and atmosphere was just Korean restaurant as you expect. Ordered Hang A Ri Kalgooksu but honestly speaking, LA branch had better flavor. “I recently visited bb.q Chicken in Costa Mesa and had a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, which made for a welcoming atmosphere. The portions were just right, and the food arrived impressively fast. I found the fries especially unique – they had a powdered cheese coating with a slight sweetness, adding an interesting twist.
The star of the meal was, of course, the chicken. It was juicy and flavorful, with a marinade that didn’t overwhelm the crispiness of the batter underneath. Since this is Korean cuisine, there’s a subtle hint of sweetness in most dishes. While sweet flavors aren’t usually my preference, I knew to expect it with Korean flavors, and it worked well here. The prices were reasonable, making it all the more worth it.
Overall, a solid place to get flavorful and well-prepared Korean fried chicken.“

“When you enter, the delicious aroma hits you immediately. It's not the prettiest place but it has a fun atmosphere none the less. Enjoyed the k-pop playing in the background.
The marinated beef bulgogi was delicious. So was the beef belly. Also, they had 2 flavors of thrifty brand ice cream for dessert. That was an unexpected and tasty surprise.
We will definitely be going again. Next time we will bring the whole family (& friends).“

“If you’re looking for a trendy twist on Korean cuisine, Chan Chan is a great spot to check out! They offer classic Korean dishes but with modern flavor updates and presentation that’s both delicious and affordable.
Instead of traditional paper menus, you’ll need to scan a QR code at the table or check out the clear, easy-to-read menu on the wall. They keep the options concise, making ordering a breeze.
What I ordered:
▶️ Spicy & Sweet Tuna Kimbap 참치 김밥 – $9.99
The tuna had a creamy texture, wrapped up in perfectly cooked rice and seaweed. The size of each roll was about 1.5 times bigger than your usual kimbap—definitely not a one-bite deal!
▶️ Fried Chicken Tenders 치킨 텐더스 (4-5 pieces) – $13.99
I chose the chicken tenders during their lunch special. These tenders were made with chicken breast, so I felt healthier and lighter. I paired them with sweet garlic sauce (스윗갈릿), which had a hint of mustard and a touch of sweetness—definitely a unique flavor that you won’t find at traditional Korean restaurants, but it was so good!
▶️ Rose Pasta 로제파스타 – $17.99
Rose pasta is super popular in Korea, and even available in convenience stores too! The sauce is a mix of red (tomato) and white (cream) sauces, often available as a pre-made mix at grocery stores (just look for “cream cheese rose sauce”). Every restaurant seems to have their own take on this dish.
In Korea, it’s usually slightly spicy, but although Chan Chan marked it as spicy, I didn’t really taste any. The portion was massive— enough for 2-3 people to share!
The plating here is on point, with thoughtful presentation that’s perfect for photos. Even the dishes and containers have a more modern, stylish vibe compared to typical Korean restaurants.
The banchan (side dishes) were lighter in flavor, with kimchi and pickled radish that weren’t too sour, making them more suited to international palates.
Oh, and a clean restroom is always a bonus for me (yes, I’m one of those people who always checked the bathroom cleanliness! ).
Chan Chan is definitely on my list for a return visit! They also have another location in Irvine.
If you’re craving traditional Korean food, you might have to head over to Garden Grove or a little bit north for more variety, but Chan Chan is a great option for something a little different in the Huntington Beach area.
