“Came here for dinner — it’s a large complex with plenty of food spots around. The place itself is simple and no-frills. Not many chicken options on the menu, but I ordered the pancake and the fried chicken with rice and veggies. Both were good and satisfying. Service was quick, and the staff were very friendly, young, and enthusiastic. Plenty of free parking available, which is a big plus.“

“I have visited JJ Bakery Irvine over a decade. I love their Traditional Taiwanese breads , pastries and sweets. Here are a few items that I would recommend (in pic order)

1. Egg Tart: I always purchase two egg tarts when I have the chance. But, it got sold out quickly.
2.Taro Pastry: Real taro paste, not too sweet. It is very delicious

3. Custard Bread: One of the traditional Taiwanese breads.
4. Scallion Bread: It is savory. Sometimes, I like savory breakfast.

5. Flan: Flan is located at the refrigerator near the entrance. It is dense instead of watery. I love it.

6. Almond Cookie:Perfect snack while I am watching Netflix.( It won’t last 20 minutes though)“

“I’ve dined at this location multiple times and have noticed the food quality continues to improve. They serve truly authentic Shanghai cuisine with a focus on balanced, subtle flavors that linger long after the meal. My personal favorite is the Sheng Jian Bao (pan-fried dumplings); they have that perfect golden, crunchy bottom and a satisfying burst of hot soup inside. Service is efficient and practical—this isn't a place for frills, but it's the perfect spot to sit down and enjoy a high-quality, honest meal.“
