“I arrived 1/2 hour before closing and placed an order to go - we were camping nearby. The family quickly got to it while Afir visited with me. He was an awesome and attentive host and chatted with me on a variety of topics while I waited. Returning to camp my wife and I enjoyed the excellent cuisine. The chicken tikka masala, naan and vegetables were delicious. We could have split one meal, but I’m glad we ordered two—no cooking tonight!“

“We were able to snag same day dinner reservations for 6ppl after wine tasting. It's located in Sonoma Square so easily walking distance from our hotel, wine tasting, bars, eateries and shopping. We shared some appetizers and had dinner. Service was prompt and good. The food was delicious and the company even better!
I'd go back to stay in Sonoma and try other dishes at the Sonoma Grille.
I love that we walked everywhere and did not have to drive. If you are driving in for the day, there is parking on each block.“

“They have our favorite Saag Paneer and chicken tikka marsala. The chicken is big chunks of white meat and the sauce for both is delicious. They are always super friendly and the place is very cozy, though we usually do takeout.

“My compliments to the chef and kitchen team, every dish was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and clearly made fresh. The use of high-quality, mostly local ingredients truly made a difference. The service was excellent as well. The young woman who helped us, her name started with J—was very sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, an outstanding dining experience. Definitely worth the 50-minute trip!“

“My daughter recommended this restaurant and I took my sister there last night. The food was very good, and would totally go back again. BUT I had a $50.00 gift certificate to use on a $70.+ tab and they wouldn't take it. Waiter said, manager isn't accepting gift certificates at this time. What the hell? It's not cheap to eat out any more as it is, and to not to accept a gift certificate is BS!“

“I went to a paint night that was hosted here on Wednesday night. Great space, love the atmosphere, bright and cheery decor and murals. The food was great. And that Michelada was over the top! Painting on the patio on a perfect evening with friends, I can’t wait to go back.“

“Just tried this place for lunch & it was super yummy. We got the orange chicken and a chicken fried rice, each were $16 for lunch time but good sized portions to share. Service was good, it was quiet inside but we were there at an off peak time. Waiter was nice and good came out quickly. Deff would come again“

“This is quite a special beautiful restaurant and bar connected with the MacArthur Place Hotel. The
garden porch, surrounded by flowers and trees, is relaxing and rejuvenating.
The staff—from parking and hotel crew, bartenders and servers—are extraordinarily friendly, kind, and competent. They are proud of their work and seem to really care and enjoy their customers.
The Mon and Tues Smash Burger Special is excellent. The cocktails are beautifully crafted and there are nice wines available. The food is consistently tasty and creative!
Amidst the hustle and bustle of downtown Sonoma. I find this place an oasis of calm, beauty and peace. As a former Manhattanite, I’m thrilled by the special “scene” at Layla!“
