“The food was excellent and quite fresh. Some of the decor was nice but I didn't care for the bright neon lights and the repetitious techno music. It took me back to the 90's club scene. If they make slight modifications to make the style and make it a bit more up to date, it will be an excellent place. Also, there was one server on the floor the entire time which made the service slow and the restaurant a bit sad. Some of the folks in the kitchen, the owner, etc.. could be at the bar or working on the floor to make the space look a bit more lively.“

In life there are only a couple of locations I eat everyday; my mom’s kitchen, my neighbors kitchen, arthur’s kitchen, tanya’s kithcen, and pokitonik. I find comfort everytime I come here, whether it’s friendly banter with Mary, or Sushi Burritos made by Arpi. I have been to multiple 5 star restaurants in my life, but nothing even compares to this glorious establishment. Where else can you combine the three of the greatest of things in life into one small building, hot cheetos, boba, and teriyaki chicken. Can’t think of one? That’s because you’ve never been to Poki. If there was a 8th wonder of the world, is would be located right here. I used to resent this building because they replaced Yogurtland, but no more. This is the greatest experience of my life.“

You have to have reservations on the weekends here as it gets pretty busy but luckily the host made something work for us I believe her name was Maria. She was beyond sweet and kind and stunning too!!! We had such a beautiful time, she gave us the best seats on the beautiful patio as we over looked the view! I highly recommend you guys go here. “Such an incredible experience! We started with the Spicy Wings, and wow… sweet, savory, crispy, with just the perfect touch of spice. The Chicken Curry Noodles (with the flying noodles 🤩) completely amazed us! The flavor was so well balanced, rich but not spicy, with a delicious tangy finish that made every bite better than the last.

The Lemongrass Pho was pure magic—beautifully aromatic, light, comforting, and packed with flavor. And to finish, the Mango Sticky Rice was simply a work of art and absolutely delicious.

Portion size was very good for the price. Teokbokki size was huge. The service is very good .Very kind staff and customer friendly. I loved the ambience and the local Korean vedios running in the television which made me feel like I was in South Korea. The staff gave us miso soup as complimentary which I really appreciate. They greeted us so friendly and accommodated our requests for items on the side. Then, the next day we came back here because everything was so flavorful! My husband had the crispy sole fish special and I enjoyed the glass noodles with shrimp. Exquisite!

This restaurant has great food, beautiful views and a very welcoming atmosphere so they don't need to negotiate prices. However, our party was on a budget and to our very pleasant surprise, the manager worked with us to fit the evening into our limited budget. The service was outstanding and the food, well, I'm repeating myself but, again, absolutely amazing! Some establishments are willing to work within people's budgets, but the food and service level tends to reflect the lower pricing but that was NOT the case here: We were treated as if we were the only people in attendance that evening. The occasion was bitter/sweet because we lost a loved one but, by the end of the evening, we felt as if we had spent the evening at a family member's house and we will NEVER forget this evening, on many levels. “I ordered the Sichuan Spicy Beef, and it was really good. The soup was flavorful and spicy, and the beef was tender. I also liked the shredded tofu inside because it soaked up the soup very well. The portion was good for the price, and the food came out hot and fresh. I would definitely order it again.“

“This is my OG favorite Thai spot starting way back in 2007 when I moved to Pasadena! I recently went back to give it another try and it's as good as I remember, prices are now considered reasonable and even good especially the lunch specials, and everything still tastes fresh and high quality. Even some of the servers are still some of the original servers from 2007! They said they love working there. The inside is unique, used to be a wall of empty frames but they made it a bit more artsy but definitely eclectic! They also have if you dishes that are not straight tie but Singaporean or Malaysian. A lunch special for two and both of us getting one iced coffee and one Thai tea came out to a whopping ;-) $40. I think that's super reasonable for high quality Thai food and the drinks added $10. “Pokitonmik in Glendale is a fun spot if you’re craving fresh, customizable poke bowls. The ingredients are fresh, the fish tastes great, and the portions are generous for the price. I loved being able to choose from so many toppings and sauces to make the bowl exactly how I wanted. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the ordering process was quick even during a busy lunch rush. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it a great place to grab a healthy meal on the go or sit down and enjoy.“

“I googled "best Chinese in LA" and then this popped up as the #1 place. So we drove - and had a very good meal. However, if you expect the classic Chinese dishes, you will be disappointed. This is Shezuan, "a different animal". So no rice, no sweet-and-sour-this-and-that. So be prepared for very spicy Szechuan food. Noodles. No rice. Try the dumplings, they were delicious. We ordered mild (1 out of 5 spice degrees) and we were burning inside (we had two separate orders of dumplings - but spice grade 1. There is no consistency, so be careful). So if spicy is what you are "in" for, you'll love it. The ambiance is sort of authentic ;-) - the sign on how to use the toilet (outside the restaurant in the alley) says more than words. But then, it was $100 all-in for the four of us only. My advice: I could barely understand the service language. Better check the menu before you go. As we were first-timers, I wanted to share three starters and three mains among the four of us and leave it up to the waitress to make us explore - she did not understand. I asked if they served beer. The answer was "noodles or dumplings". :-)“

Why get angry and keep screaming when customers don't understand? This business is located in LA—if an obvious communication barrier happens, staff should try to bridge it instead of continuing to yell in the same language at a confused customer. I can't believe I was treated this way. Do we now need to learn EVERY LANGUAGE ON EARTH just to get basic service?“

“Felt like I’d stepped into a time capsule when I walked in and got a large cup of boba milk tea for 2.99. Those are 2010 prices in 2026!! The drink itself was simple and not anything outstanding or gimmicky like those overpriced fancy boba drinks you might find elsewhere nowadays. But for 3 dollars, it was simple and tasted like childhood.

The store looks quite old and many of the displays are weathered, but I didn’t mind it a bit because it felt extremely nostalgic to me. The man who rang me up was also very friendly and I wish him all the best.“
