“I got married in April 2022 (after years of postponements!) and I can't rave enough about Gourmet A Go Go, Gail, and her amazing team. We had cold apps, passed apps, plated salad, buffet dinner, and an assortment of desserts - it all could not have been tastier or more beautifully arranged. On top of that, Gail was so easy to reach and such a nice person to work with. I highly recommend her for any catering needs you may have!“

“We are BBQ folks. We smoke our own and have traveled the country trying different spots. There is so much that goes into BBQ. For those of us who truly love it; it's an art form and science of cuts, color, bark, brine -- the whole deal. We've experienced much of the local (Southern California) flavor and have found a few spots that excel. We moved up to Pasadena recently and were Yelping to see if there was a BBQ spot up here that we could try. When we came upon Mission I was skeptical. It didn't make sense that a BBQ spot would do catering and weekend farmer's market stuff. The only way to see if the reviews were legit was to give it a shot. We found the location at the farmer's market tucked away and because we were late in the day, had to pick from the meats that were left. Ribs, brisket, mac & cheese -- and the two sauces they stocked (mild & spicy). Our order was bundled and we brought it home and launched into the meal. Brisket -- soft, moist, flavorful. Brisket is not easy to cook. It can get dry and -- sometimes greasy from the fat. This was none of that. It was excellent -- some of the best ever. 5/5!!! Ribs -- very good. Solid. My personal perfect-preference is ribs that are just a touch less moist -- but we are talking the difference between 98/100 or 94/100. They were solid. Great flavor. Mac & Cheese. Excellent. Texture, color, flavor, taste -- all outstanding. 5/5!!! Sauce. We had a cup of each of their offerings: spicy and mild. Each had a lovely smokey flavor. The spicy had a nice kick without blowing the back out of your throat. Again -- this is a little nitpicky, but we find the perfect sauce to be a touch less sticky. We've had great first meals and horrible second meals at certain spots and horrible first meals and great second meals. We like to try the food several times before writing reviews so we ordered again for another experience. This time we added baked beans, burnt ends, and smoked chicken to the meal. Second time was exactly as great as the first time. Everything was solid, solid, solid. Now -- the thing that gives Mission six-stars is the folks behind the food. These people are dedicated to making a contribution to the world through food as few are. They are kind, generous, dedicated -- truly amazing!!!! Judith and her family are the kind of folks I want to invite over to have the food we just bought from them!!! Wonderful, wonderful people!! Thank you so much Mission!!!! We are dedicated fans and followers for as long as you make food!!!“

“What a gem...hands down the best elotes l've ever had!! The corn man is super nice and super fast at pumping out Elote via cob or bowl. There was probably 20+ people ahead of me with multiple orders but it only took 25 minutes to get through since he's so efficient. It can be so amazingly rich and heavy for some folks but this is what you're coming for! A guilty pleasure ruminating in cheese, mayo and liquid butter and corn. I prefer the bowl over the cob since it's much easier to eat. I also recommend getting two at once so u don't have to wait in line again and it's so cheap. 100% recommend!“

“I hired Betty and crew to help cater an open house at my business. They came early, set up, and did everything on their own. The food was really good, and visually very impressive for my guests. They worked their butts off and the event went really well. They cleaned up after and left everything spotless even as many of my guests lingered. Everything was seamless. Highly recommended.“

“This company has been so responsive since the very first time I emailed them to request a quote! I cannot tell you what peace of mind that gave me and planning my husband’s birthday party. They are so amazing! Benito arrived early and had the food ready at five minutes before the start time for dinner. He was amazing! He was friendly and greeted all the guests. At the end of the evening he carefully packed up all of the food that was left and brought it inside. All of my guests were super impressed with the food! (The Pastor and Carnitas were my personal favorites). All of the food was excellent and the ingredients tasted fresh. The meat they had was seriously the best meat that I’ve had from a taco stand in a long time. I went with the traditional five meats, and paid extra and got Carnitas and jumbo lime shrimp. The price was great and the quality was even better! I will definitely be using them again anytime I need a catering. This was for my husband‘s birthday party and we had about 45 guests and I had tons of food left over and everybody ate a lot at the party.“

“It’s a nice location. Parking is a little difficult and I recommend their valet parking. Inside it is very nice and their food is pretty good as well. Artyom was my waiter for the night and he was on top of everything. I didn’t even have to ask for a refill!! Yea I would said they have it on point. Anyways. Location is nice, new lighting, good bartenders and clean restrooms.“

“Had a wonderful meal at Ilé LA. The entire 4-course dinner was presented beautifully, was well-flavored, and vibrant. The food was nourishing and so was the history and storytelling behind it. The care and intention in the food and presentation really made for a special evening. Highly recommend if you’d like to experience elevated pan-African cuisine. The theme of our dinner was a taste of West Africa and included pepper soup, a honey bean hummus, and salad, jollof rice, lamb, catfish, chicken, and fonio, a non-alcoholic beverage, and puff puff with ice cream. Everything was excellent! Would absolutely eat at Chef David’s table again.“

“Just used Heirloom for our convention event in downtown. They were fantastic. Everyone agreed it was the best food we'd ever served (and we've been around 40 years). I found them by doing online research and reading reviews and felt very lucky that the reviews were spot on. Their team is super easy to work with. They worked to meet our budget and were more than happy to help us with suggestions and amounts. They did not upsell us and make us over order. They were super professional with delivery and set up. The food is beautiful. And we had total confidence that nobody was going to get cyclospora or samonella or anything else bad. That mattered to a roomful of women! Completely recommend Heirloom.“

“My friend invited me for this White Summer French party and I really enjoyed the French cuisine by Chef G (Guillaume). His house was beautiful and comfortable to sit for hours. We met some nice folks. Also, all the food was frehly prepared and delicious. There was enough freh bread to eat with freshly made brie cheese and salad. For the main course, there was baked salmon with sauteed spinach and baby tomatoes. He also had beef bourgenois with carrots and olives. It was very tasty and full of flavor with red wine sauce. Ladtly, the desserts were satisfyingly delicious!! He had spiced pear cobbler and raspberry panna cotta for desserts; both were equally delicious as well. If you get a chance, try it out. “The service was VERY friendly. My server, and several others, greeted me with genuine smiles. Started with Warak Enab Dolma/Sarma (stuffed grape leaves), which were excellent. They are the non-vinegar type which I much prefer, firm with plenty of rich olive oil. Then the Sea Bass entrée. Two full filets traditionally seasoned, a large salad, and potatoes. The ice cream was an absolute hit at our wedding. Throughout the night, guests kept coming back for more, talking about their favorite flavors, and raving about how fun and unexpected it was. There's something about a beautiful ice cream station that instantly brings out everyone's inner child, and Ice Cream Occasions delivered that experience.

They arrived knowing exactly what to do, where to set up, how to operate within the flow of the event, and how to serve guests efficiently. As an event professional myself, I notice when vendors require hand-holding versus when they can truly operate independently, and Ice Cream Occasions was the latter. The permanent red carpet is such a brilliant idea to glam up any event. However, when you are approaching this venue, the street looks a bit sketchy.
