“I’ve been coming here all my life. I have traveled a lot and nowhere I mean NOWHERE makes better sweet bread than here. My favorite are the concha’s. They are super soft and delicious. And anytime I make my way down from San Diego I make sure this is a MUST on places I visit.“

“Wow their glazed is one of the best I’ve tasted. Texture and flavor like Krispy Kreme without as much sugar. Chocolate bar was too - best chocolate bar I had in a while, perfect sweet and dough airiness. All the circular donuts had a little bit too much dough air but it was still very chewy, like donut tree’s dough airiness but problem with donut tree is the dough is too rigid.
This place has some donuts that are better than rainbow donuts. I would say they’re pretty on par for food quality, except this place is much more enticing due to box presentation and friendly staff/owner with literate English. But the chocolate bar and glazed is too good!!“

“If u haven't noticed this little Bakery before.., it is probably bc 1) .. of it's lack of a HUGE sign in the front of the store. 2) ..u are not a 'Local' resident, who knows about it & probably pass it by when driving thru Glendora Ave., from Old Valley Blvd., & the Historic District, to Hacienda Ave. Word up! I like it bc they have been there since who knows when?? ? And they make a variety of the 'typical' bread u will find in many Hispanic Markets.. But? They also make Breads & Pastries that are unique to this Bakery, as well as Tamales, Champurrado, & Deli type sandwiches & breakfast w/ self serve Coffee bar & tables to sit & enjoy ur morning ? Pan y cafecito. Mind u the place is relatively small so there is a line very early, that usually shortens as the day gets later. I highly recommend a visit here when u have the time to relax. “If this is not the best banh mi in all of Sgv and Oc, I don’t know of any place that can beat them. All cash by the way so come prepared. Their dac biet is the perfect sandwich and their daikon and carrots are light and bouncy with fresh jalapeno with the right amount of pate and butter. They have it down to perfection, nothing less. Had an open house and served it for homebuyers and they were blown away! Highly recommend! Cafe sua da is gold too, loved the shaved ice in the coffee and not too sweet. The ladies in the back are super sweet and you can buy the baguettes and freeze them, then 350 f for 6 mins in toaster or airfryer. Get the egg rolls, and pa te so is good too. My clients loved their vegetarian banh mi too!

Rave reviews were emailed to me about the quality and care of the delicious care packages given to each of those important caregivers at the hospital. First rate care and preparation. “Stumbled on this Mexican bakery while in Norwalk but glad I did! I’ve had pan Dulce from soooo many different places but the BEST is here (tasty, soft, fresh) … not to mention the cleanliness of the shop. Definitely 5 stars!!! Parking can be a bit challenging but people go in and out so you will not be waiting too long and don’t forget to bring cash - cash only. Will definitely come back!!“

“My mother in law passed away and we wanted to honor her by getting her favorite cake for her service. I called Lucky Treat and they made it happen.. German Chocolate Cake! I asked if they could add pink flowers around the cake to make it extra special. I was sooo happy with the design which was beautifully done and decorated. Thank you!!!!!“

“Hiatus= opportunity for another stop in the LAtte tour. Today’s pilgrimage finds me in Sierra Madre at Syndicate, a fantastic find nestled comfortably downtown on Sierra Madre Blvd. Plenty of street parking and a beautiful place to take a stroll if you don’t score a spot immediately out front. The vibe is instantly welcoming, decor is colorfully minimalist, that’s probably not a thing, but it’s the best descriptor I have. The baristas are friendly, skilled and true devotees to all things coffee, even willing to share some potential sites to visit on the next LAtte stop. The coffee itself is excellent, rich, flavorful and no hint of bitterness. I went with oat milk this time and it paired perfectly with the blend, rich creamy, delicious! I can wholeheartedly recommend a visit should you find yourself in the area, or even if your not- expand your horizons and make it a destination, it’s worth it.“

“Lovely donut shop, the donuts tasted very fresh and the texture had just the right airy buttery balance that I look for.

The staff was very welcoming, and the seating pleasant and clean. The shop is on a corner with windows to the south and east. I stopped by in the early afternoon after walking the Juanita Cooke Trail and there was lots of natural light. Music playing was relaxing and quiet.

The blueberry donuts are so fresh, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Muffins are also out of this world. I always go for the blueberry or banana nut muffins. Their website limits the characters and couldn’t get the full Happy Birthday and name on the cake, which was a bummer but the call was quick and easy. Just needed a few hours notice. Love that they add a few candles just in case and had a cake knife when requested. We didn’t use the candles, but is thoughtful. Only blip was the website and cake was a bit pricy for size, but delicious. I also tried a couple of empeñadas. Spicy chicken and beef. They were just ok. I guess I prefer the Argentinian ones more.
