“I’m touring a condo in Oakland for a client making an offer and I stop for a quick bite at a tiny sandwich place next to the Grand Lake Theater. OMG, Unbelievable sandwiches, smoked meats, homemade pickles, peppers🫑 and memorable pulled pork, etc. I hang out for a few minutes while Jerry makes my Cuban sandwich, and he has me try their smoked bacon, homemade meatballs, and more. “Outstanding food and service“

“I got the special combo ham sandwich without cilantro and jalapeno - but I found a jalapeno in my sandwich. My partner also found jalapeno in #20 grilled pork with lemon grass even it was ordered with no jalapeno. Beside that complaint, the banh mi was really good! The bread is soft and crunchy without hurting the roof of our mouth and it's fully stuffed with the meats and veggies while being affordable!

Although the inside of the shop is clean and organized, the streets is seemingly sketchy and dirty looking so be cautious. It might be hard to find parking.

Otherwise, it's worth to stop by to try!“

“This place is my favorite Sourdough & Co this side of the Bay! Sara and Radia was so polite and kind. I had the meal combo meal and had asked if the clam chowder came with a side of bread. It did not but Sara gave us the side bread along with chocolate chip cookie.“

Although parking can be a challenge, the food is well worth the trip.“

“About the best thing in Martinez.. not counting the Glorious Gals of Hilda's Pleasure-O-Rama out on Hardback Ave is the soon to be world famous Lucia's Craft Sandwiches! I was in Martinez dropping off the Spindler's Rotomiser for my 48 Pearson Applehorn to the boys over at the Monkey Ass Garage because they claimed they could realign the wobbler shaft without tearing it up. “I used to live in the area. This place is just as it was 10 yeat ago. The same people working in the kitchen. The same grumpy old man taking the orders. Absolutely terrible service. But the food is the best. The pastrami sandwich is soooo good. Soooo good. Well the only thing that changed is the price. The prices did go up. I told the old grumpy man that was taking the order that his food was sooo good. He grunted and moved his head up and down once at the same time not even looking at me. “So this place is actually inside of Loard's Ice cream, on the right side counter.
I Love Love Love their sandwiches and drinks! Their bread and ingredients are so fresh. I tried the BttLA, Wentino, and the Weslo and I am addicted to their Thai Tea. They actually brew loose tea leaves for all their teas instead of powder or those cheap tea bags that some other places use. Their Viet coffee is pretty good as well as their ribena lemonade. Oh and there's a free parking lot!“

“Mezzo is a Berkeley staple. This place stays busy all day and for good reason. SO many of their options and items are baked or made in house and it really makes a difference. Most of the staff is extremely friendly, quick, and helpful as they usually have quite a long line. Tip, you can skip the line and order drinks at the counter as well if you are just looking for an espresso drink and no meal. The cowboy cookie here is an absolute gem and is packed with so many ingredients, it usually takes me 3-4 days to finish one. Another tip, the standard for mustard here is dijon which is absolutely criminal and I had to toss my first few orders from here as I was unaware of the dijon situation. Since then, I have learned they also have regular mustard, I have been a regular customer and won't be stopping anytime soon. Thank you Mezzo for great service and food!“

“My experiences have always been good at this location for the 5 years I've lived in the area. The best part about this chain is the bread (particularly sourdough and dutch crunch) and garlic sauce. My favorite sandwich is the Italian, though I've tried most of the menu, and everything has been good. Delivery via DoorDash has always been a positive experience, fast and orders have been accurate.“

“Foods pretty good here, but I come for their coffee! It’s decently good if you like sweet and strong Vietnamese style coffee. Best part is that it’s consistent bc it comes from a jug, premade. I’m not a coffee snob but I do like to explore different coffee joints and lee’s is always consistent.“

“Great deli / cafe attached to a catering business. Sandwiches are outstanding. Meat piled high and very fresh vegetables. Roll was soft and light, also.

The deli operation closes at 2:00 pm daily and is closed on weekends. But in-between that, you can get a great sandwich here .

They have housemade salads of all types, incl pasta etc. I didn't try them but will - they all looked great

And, it is one of the few places to sit down and eat around here that doesn't try to shake a tip out of you at the cash register before even trying the food.

The price of Subway sandwiches have really gone up, but again, what hasn't? Just make sure you bring in a coupon and your footlong will be $7 and change (coupons do not include the specialty sandwiches). Great place for a quick (really quick in this case) bite to eat!“

“I LOVE this subway!!! I work near this location and it’s become a staple in my routine, primarily due to the excellent customer service.

Sharma always welcomes my friend and I into the store, with genuine kindness. By day three she already knew what I wanted to order! I have never had a bad wrap or sandwich when she makes them. Even when it’s busy, the quality of food/service does not drop. She’s the reason I keep coming back.

The location is kept clean, stocked and always smells like freshly cooked bread. (Yum!) If you’re in the area craving a sandwich stop by this location!

My Go-to wrap is the Italian trio protein pocket (which is such a bang for your buck at $4.99, 20+ grams of protein and give or take 490 calories)

“LOVE THIS PLACE!! The bread tears up the roof of my mouth in the best way and the fried taro in their veggie banh mi is delightful. One time they put too many jalapenos in my sandwich but honestly i prefer that to not enough spice level. Black sesame coffee is great too, although expensive. Perfect sunny day lunch spot.“
