“Excellent Pho noodle soup near Knotts Berry Farm. Note: no more stir fried noodle on the menu. I ordered the beef noodle soup and beef tendon pho. Excellent variety of beef tripe, beef ball, tendon, and brisket. Friendly counter service for takeout and good portion size.“

“Had the steak sandwich and grilled shrimp rolls, and both were delicious! Everything was made fresh and had great flavor. This is definitely a small hole-in-the-wall spot, mostly geared toward takeout. They have a few stools, but I’d recommend calling ahead and placing your order.

When I stopped by, it looked like one guy was taking the orders and doing the cooking, so be patient—it’s worth it. Great little local find, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Adding this one to my regular restaurant rotation!“

“They say you need to die to get to heaven, but maybe heaven is the chicken pho at pho 881 in Long Beach. The egg rolls are the perfect width for a crispy exterior, but the exact length for a substantial amount of filling that doesn’t leave you needing more. The spring rolls were standard, the peanut sauce was good. The Thai tea was not too sweet, and had the perfect amount of ice. And then came the soup. The chicken had tender pieces of skin that melted in your mouth like butter. The creamy texture from the fat coupled perfectly with the sharp spice from the ginger dipping sauce. I’m not sure if the people who run this place accidentally made me on of the best meals of my life, or if that’s just standard practice here, but I am thoroughly impressed by the culinary level of pho 881. And also, the server was quite silly, very jolly, and kind. Just great.“

I got the pad Thai and it tasted nice but was quite salty which made it not as enjoyable. The plater tasted really good. Honeydew milk tea was nice and was nice amount of sugar not too much. Overall it’s alright but saltyness was in issue.“

“This place is really good. We got the Bun bo hue, vermacelli hanoi, and broken rice plate. Prices are reasonable and the flavors are good. I liked the little char on their Viet meatballs. The portions are decent. The bun bo hue has really good flavor, not watery nor just salty. You can order right off the tablet for quick orders. This might be one of my new favorite places to go.“

“Hidden gem closed to home. Rare to find great tasting pho closed to home and big in portion.

Throughout the years many pho places give very little and tiny portions, but Tasty Pho reminds me of the good size pho bowls one used to get back in the day. Their prices are also very reasonable. Their stuff attentive to your needs.

The broken rice is very complete with the egg quiche, shrimp paste and radish carrot salad for a very good price. No need to go to Little Saigon anymore to eat great Vietnamese food“

“Great experience, the food was so good and the portions were double than any other pho location we have gone too. Taste was a 10/10 eye opening. We are definitely coming back again. The biggest shock was how this place isn't packed in regards to the price taste and service.“

“The food never fails. The Pho is done right and we always order the 2 rib bone soup which is simmered for 4 hours. But with this visit, we tried the oxtail soup which was simmered for 10 hours. We always get the garlic fries. We also ordered crispy chicken in medium heat and chicken wings in the garlic parmesan flavor. All good and it didn’t disappoint at all. This place is open til 1:30am, this is our go to late night eats which doesn’t happen too often. This place is cute with a potted tree in the middle and decorated well. The evening we were there, we weren’t only ones eating, the mosquitos were eating us, the reason I gave the atmosphere a 4 star. Aside from that, this place is a go-to. There’s always a line.“

“I ordered 2 different beef pho and an order of the pork and shrimp spring rolls. The meat and broth in the pho was so good and worth every penny. The tendon in my soup was so soft and yummy. The spring rolls were a bit of a disappointment as it was 90% garden salad mix straight out of the bag. 2 out of 3 of the spring rolls split open due to the over crowding of the salad. If the salad was tossed in a light sauce/vinegar, it would liven up the spring rolls so much.“

The large was only a few dollars more and was a challenge to finish all the meat. It actually was so good, I had left without my wallet but the waitress ran to catch me. It was much appreciated as her service during the meal was just as full of effort.Second visit, today is what made me write this review. I have been trying this combo (bun nuong cha gio?)
