“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I am a business owner a few doors down and I wandered in with a friend after work one night about a month ago. We were met with such incredible warmth from the staff and the environment itself, even without a reservation. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Josh, only to find out later that he is the owner. He made excellent recommendations on everything from our drinks to dessert. The bar didn’t feel isolated from the rest of the restaurant and guests, but rather was lively hub frequented by kitchen and serving staff and warmed by a smoldering wood fire. The coziest. We swooned for the poke appetizer, complete with house-made toasted, but not crisp, blue corn tortillas. The pork shoulder tacos—also to die for. I have to say though, that the star on the sidelines was the beans. I honestly didn’t know I could feel this way about beans…but I digress. Josh bounced around from table to table all night, never letting a single ball drop, making every guest feel like *his* guest. A pot de crème sealed the evening in perfect bliss. I’m back a month later with the same friend, eating different and somehow even more incredible entrees: ribeye, halibut and a rhubarb crisp for dessert. I scarcely ever take the time to write a review as I prefer to vote with my $ and my feet, but I simply couldn’t eat here again without taking the time to sing it’s praises. Eat here.“

“Very nice place for breakfast with tasty food. The place gets busy on the weekends but the service crews have a system and they get orders out fast. The patio area was nice and our waiter was great. Overall good place to enjoy a great breakfast and excellent service.“

“Such a fun, iconic spot! I loved the atmosphere and it was really easy to find parking. The food was fantastic also, and I'd recommend in particular the bouillabaisse and the shrimp scampi.
The service, however, was lackadaisical. It took nearly an hour to get our food, and the server didn’t bring the appetizer first (in fact it didn't even arrive with the main meal). He seemed unconcerned about our experience.“

“Food was good, not great for the price. I came with 2 people, one was a 92 year old woman and we could not get the elevator to work and the front desk person told us to just hold the button down and when that did not work she just shrugged and walked away, disappointing.“

“This is our “go to” place in Sausalito for my wife and I so we decided to take our visitors from Canada here. Everything was going well until my order, the bone in veal chop special, arrived more than 5 minutes later than everyone else's main course. The issue is that when my order arrived, there was a barely an apology or any offers to adjust our bill. Sad.“

“Had to stop and use the restroom when the freeway got too jammed to wait so, detoured and purchased some giant cookies as away of saying thank you for one, being open in a very commercial area with limited options; two, for letting me use their restroom and three having very reasonable prices and a friendly demeanor.
Oh, the cookies were great, too!“

“There’s something different about The Melt in San Francisco. I went with my family and ordered the Swiss & Shroom Double—and it was so good! But beyond the food, what really stood out was the atmosphere. It felt like being in a familiar, welcoming place.
What made it even more special was when Skinner came over to our table. We chatted about the restaurant, about San Francisco… and he even offered us some chocolate chip cookies!
We’ll definitely be coming back. It’s great to know there’s a beautiful, peaceful, and family-friendly spot like this in San Francisco.“

“Came for Happy Hour on a Monday and unfortunately didn't have the best experience. We waited at the door for about 5-6 minutes before being acknowledged, and the inside was almost empty. The bartender was talking with someone, and there was no server/host/hostess, so we awkwardly stood there, glancing at the menus. There was a sign that said, please wait to be seated, so we didn't want to barge in, but there was no acknowledgment from the bartender that she would be right with us, so it was an unfriendly welcome. Additionally, we searched for someone to order, so we gave up and went to the bar. Also, we grabbed a bottle of water because we couldn't catch anyone's attention. The menu is what they have online. We had a glass of the Cabernet Sauv and Sauvignon Blanc, which was nothing too special but decent pours for happy hour. We also got the grilled cheese and BBQ Chicken Slider. The grilled cheese was a very large portion but quite bland. However, if you're looking for quantity, it's great. The slider was quite flavorful, but for $7, I expect more than a single slider of that size. Though they don't advertise it to be multiple sliders, they aren't purposely misleading. Overall, might come back on a more lively evening, but wouldn't go out of my way to make it back.“

“I always have a great time, great drinks and great food at Stillwater but today I got their pork chops and holy shit was this dish unreal. The 2 thinly sliced and perfectly bone-in grilled pork chops were accompanied by delicious mashed/pureed turnips (I think), broccolini and delicious grilled pears. Expertly done and super seasonal. I devoured it! Thanks, Chefs and Stillwater team. This was an excellent fall evening meal. Xoxo“

“This fairy-tale-like restaurant in Mill Valley truly surprised us with how delicious the food was. We went with our kids and ordered a variety of dishes—especially the sizzling stone pot bibimbap and the fried chicken, which were absolutely outstanding. Not only was the food delicious, but the plating was beautiful as well, making the whole meal a delight for both kids and adults. It was a perfect brunch experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back every time we’re in Mill Valley.“

“Came here with a friend while working in town. It was so good we went 3 days in a row.
We sat at the bar and Rodger gave us the Royal treatment!
The salmon salad, the salmon BLT, and the pastrami are all fire. And if you're like me and don't drink alcohol, definitely ask for a ginger beer <Yes they're alcohol-free!
Can't say enough nice things about this place!“

“We had friends coming to visit from Arizona and wanted to take them somewhere special for dinner. We heard about the newly reopened Paseo in Mill Valley and decided to try it. We were welcomed by the friendly manager Kevin as we entered. After giving us a tour we were seated in the main dining room by a cozy fireplace. We ordered cocktails along with a charcuterie board and roasted Brussels sprouts. At the recommendation of our knowledgeable waiter Will, my sister and I ordered the beet salad. One of our guests had the Market Green Salad and another raved about her Potato Leek Soup. Wanting to try different entrees we ordered California Halibut, Braised Osso Busco, Mary's Chicken Breast, Rib Eye Steak, and Roasted Duck Breast with orange glaze. The taste and presentation exceeded our expectations. As we were enjoying coffee along with Chocolate Indulgence, a (layered torte) and a Peanut Crunch Bar, Chef Branden approached our table to see how we enjoyed our meal. We all told him how much we enjoyed the food, his beautiful presentation, and the smiling staff. We had a great five star experience and will definitely be back!“

“I went to enjoy some salad at this MIXT restaurant on Grand Opening day. They were handing out samples of their crispy cauliflower appetizer with an aioli dressing. Yum.
There’s a big menu of salads and sandwiches to choose from.
I ordered the warm curry chicken salad bowl. It was delicious! Freshly prepared by an enthusiastic staff member.
I ate the salad in the restaurant at midday on a Monday when it was not busy.
There is a patio on the Green Street side and a few tables in the front of the place
The opening day was made even better when the cashier mentioned a special code for the day. I got 50% off my bowl. I also got a small bouquet of dried flowers. What a great way to welcome guests!
The space reminds me of Le Boulange bakery when it used to be in this location. On the weekend, it maybe crowded, so go early or get takeaway and go to the Presidio to enjoy the outdoors and a healthy meal!“

“Incredible food and amazing service. We loved the food and vibe so much we had our wedding reception in their Private Den for our micro wedding of 24 people! It was so fun and the perfect place. It was our perfect vibe and so aesthetically pleasing! I loved the moody vibes and it perfectly complimented our wedding ideas. Our group was small enough at 24 people so we were able to do a seated dinner with a four course meal. Food was so good and 100% better than a typical catered wedding.
My MOH was able to go in before opening and decorated quickly so it was even more beautiful than usual. The team was able to set up for the dinner and helped us take it down once food and cake were done. We were able to dance the night away and have some delicious drinks! They were so attentive and the staff was constantly coming in to check on us and quickly get us drinks or help us with lighting, switching our Spotify playlist, etc. Stellar team and I know this was the perfect place for us. It’s was an unforgettable night, even after I had one too many drinks celebrating!
I spent weeks looking for an affordable place for after our San Francisco City Hall wedding. All blogs, socials, and reviews told me of dozens of restaurants that for me were ok for a dinner, maybe some dancing. None were perfect or that cost-effective.
Wilder was so beautiful and the staff was so friendly. The owner himself showed me the private den and talked to us while we ate dinner there for our first tasting. He went above and beyond that day and our actual reception. He was the one serving the bar and helping me switch my Spotify playlist. You can tell he cares about the client experience and he is helping us even in the tiny details like that!
Coming here even for dinner you can tell they cultivate a culture of quality experience and food. Having my actual wedding reception here showed me they will pull all the stops for you to have a memorable experience. I will forever remember our night and keep coming back to relive it!
Parking: Lots of street parking even on weekends but there’s a paid parking garage about a block away if it gets hard to find a spot
Kid-friendliness: My kid loved it, had 3 kids under 7 for our Private Den event and they were kept busy the whole night with the game in there and then the dancing. Couch there for when they got sleepy.“

“On 4th Street in Downtown San Rafael is a narrow building that’s home to a great breakfast place. We visited Lundy’s Home Cooking on a Saturday morning and were seated right away. There are a couple tables in the front window, several tables for 2 along the side wall and counter seats overlooking the grill.
I ordered the Omelette with Chicken Apple Sausage and Cheese which was served with potatoes and choice of toast; my wife ordered their Eggs Benedict, also served with potatoes and toast. ass
Service was prompt and friendly and the food was delicious. In my omelette, the sausage (and cheese) was plentiful - and the potatoes were just as I like them, slightly crunch. My wife ordered their traditional Eggs Benedict. Now I know she is a Benedict aficionado and particular about the dish - she said it was very tasty!
They have quite an extensive breakfast menu - with some unique choices like Fajita Omelette, Irish Breakfast, and a Chorizo Scramble. We’d happily return for a breakfast in the future.“
