“Me and multiple coaches from my team visited Backstage Marin for dinner and a coaches meeting. The hosts of the restaurant were extremely welcoming and accommodating (shout out Ed). They have a nice venue inside but we ate outside. The seating outside had heaters (shown in the image) and blankets. We tried both of their pizza options and they were awesome. They best dish we had was artichoke dip. All of there dishes are crafted/created in house. Literally the best I’ve ever had in my entire life. The town it’s located in (Larkspur) is a cozy town full of character. Thankful for my head coach brother in law’s significant other who recommended this going to this spot. Look forward to going back.“

“Great bar and bartender! Arno was a pure gentleman! Great spot for a late night drink after the crowds have cleared North Beach. We were the only two people in there on NYD at midnight but the bartender made us feel welcome and happily gave us great service even though the streets were dead. He also pointed us to a premium sandwich shop for lunch the next day. $14 specialty cocktails and $5 beers too!“

“The atmosphere and bar itself was so much fun, the bar staff was incredibly friendly and kind. However, we paid for a private party and the DJ refused to take requests. I understand it is under his discretion to play what he wants, but he refused to play the songs the private party requested. I personally asked him to play a song and he told me he would, I never heard the song so I went back to him to ask about it playing and he told me it was going to be played soon. I never heard the song and when I asked him one more time, he said it’s no longer within your parties time frame and I can play whatever I want. I said that’s disappointing because I asked him to play the song during our private party event at this bar and he told me that’s not longer his problem and he was extremely rude. Very disappointing because this bar and the rest of the staff were amazing, but this DJ was rude and a real let down. Especially for how much money we spent for this bar for a birthday party. Do not suggest the bar hires this DJ again based on how he talked to customers.“

“This is a FABulous, family-owned and operated bar that absolutely does take credit cards, despite many reviews (connected to prior owners perhaps) saying they don't.

We were there for Thanksgiving and Sully was working non-stop behind the bar, his wife turned the pool table into a Thanksgiving day spread that could have competed with grandma's dinner!

All were invited to a California-style holiday, where you could bring the family you chose to spend the day with, while making new friends if you were interested in doing that. No shopping, cooking or cleaning up. And amazingly they didn't even charge visitors for the meal!

Another guest brought an addictive, spicy, NOLA influenced oyster stuffing that we must come back for next year! OMG

I don't know if there's any food normally, but we were very lucky to have discovered this bar, any day of the year!

And with Sully and his wife's decades in this business, they've created a very friendly, but also extremely professional , local neighborhood bar. They've also lined the walls with great, music-themed photos and Bay Area concert posters that add to the vibe!

And while their Irish coffee is as good as The Buena Vista, the price is much more palatable !“

“The place was very nice, we're visiting the area for a work conference and came here with our colleagues and partners after the training for the day was done. We felt a little out of place since most of the bars where we come from aren't as unique, they only have ingredients to make whats on the menu and can't make regular requested drinks. The bar tender gave us funny looks when we asked question, but did his best to explain things without making us feel dumb. I would come here again, but I feel I need to educate myself on fancy bar etiquette.“

Had the ham sandwhich holy crap. For a dive bar it was kinda perfect. Bread that was toasted perfectly with a delicious jam. Come here.“

“Starting with the most important thing, the food was fantastic. I got the beef burrito and my friend got the chili and pork stew, and we both loved our meal. We agreed we'd definitely come back because of the food alone. The restaurant operated for 6 years in NYC before moving to San Anselmo, and they've obviously got some great recipes under their belt. The menu is very small, but it seems what is on there is great. The food's presentation was great, too.

The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable without being overbearing at all. The food was brought out in 10 minutes, a perfect amount of time.

Our biggest complaint was that the backless wooden seats (not the booth) were pretty uncomfortable. My friend also said her cocktail didn't have quite enough alcohol and too much ice. Additionally, the music was just a bit too loud for a restaurant. All that being said, the very open decor scheme and atmosphere felt welcoming and original compared to other restaurants... In a good way.“

“I wandered here on a whim looking for a quick pint before heading home - and I am exceptionally pleased.

This is a small venue, though there's space to spill into a mezzanine level. The immediate vibe was of a clean, classy, and comforting space. I would have been satisfied grabbing a sip and heading out, but the energy of the staff kept me hanging out to the edge of my time limit. I credit Alexis and Freedom for enthralling me with their mix of enthusiasm, knowledge, and attentiveness. I'm almost certain I owe them a drink or two (perhaps literally).

Although this venue does not (as of this posting) serve food, multiple meal options are within walkable distance or can be delivered. If you are respectful and keep it tidy, the staff supports your desire to eat, drink, and be merry on site.

“Absolutely love that Harrington's is back! This used to be my favorite weekday happy hour spot when I worked in the neighborhood. Now it's my go-to for a proper Guinness and good vibes.

Bartenders are very friendly, and the pub grub is always great.
Favorites are their cobb salad, wings, rueben eggrolls, or the patty melt when it's on the menu.

They also have a killer wine selection, which I didn't expect in an Irish bar. The Andrew Will red blend is really good!“

“Amazing place and people!!!! The manager, Candice, is so sweet and helpful! We got married at Deer Park Villa nearby and chose to have our after-party at Nave's after looking into multiple bars in the area. Nave's stood out to us over the others because of the friendly, casual, laid-back, and fun vibes! Candice made it so easy for us, helped us coordinate with Ghiringhelli's Pizzeria in town to have late night food there and ready for us when we arrived, and even let us bring our DJ and allowed him to set up his equipment and continue to play for all of our guests. We cannot thank her or Nave's enough for this! They even let us come back and do it all over again the next night! Some of our best wedding memories were made here this weekend. All of the staff and other customers were so friendly and welcoming to us! We definitely recommend Nave's for a wedding after-party or event! “Joe is great. After our Uber drive dropped us in the wrong place, Joe would tell us how to get there, he took us there. It was only at the end of the block, but meant the world to us. He wouldn’t accept a tip, so went back to have a beer after dinner. He remembered our name. He is the true meaning of customer service and I’ve told all of my friends to go see him at the Showdown. “We went during a happy hour and ordered the Lion King and Spicy Tuna rolls, fried tofu, hot sake and cold beer. In addition to the insanely good quality of the food, the price came out to $60 total. You get excellent food for low prices. This should be your go to for sushi in SF!“
