“I love Mediterranean food and this place is fantastic! Every dish we tried was amazing and their whiskey sour is consistently excellent and never disappoints. I’ve returned several times, and the food quality is always so good. But it’s not ideal for date nights, as most evenings feel like team events with large groups, making it quite loud and crowded“

“Ricco Mediterranean review: Had a fabulous lunch here today and sad to report, they will be shuttering in three weeks. Every item we tasted on the menu (lunch combo 2 and 3) was superbly fresh and prepared perfectly. Solid portions, good prices. Highly recommend you enjoy a meal while you still can… we’re going back Saturday night for dinner! Sorry forgot to take photos of the food.“

“EXACTLY what I was looking for for breakfast! Feta, spinach, and mushroom omelet, with a fresh made blueberry scone. All were delicious! Husband had a chicken apple sausage breakfast pita with a piece of baklava, and it was all fantastic too. Service was great. Would absolutely eat here again!“

“Exceptional flavors and ingredient combinations. Beautiful atmosphere, great staff, and excellent prices. I am only in San Francisco for 4 days and I might come back a second time because the food was so great. Well worth the visit!!!!!“

“Tasty Mediterranean food. Good amount of vegan options with falafel. The falafel is very good, high quality and nicely fried.
The falafel burger was very tasty, and the crispy falafel added a nice texture. The fries were okay, a bit dry. Also got the sampler platter - liked the falafel, pita, hummus, baba ganoush, and salad that came with it. The dolmas were not my favorite.
Very good service. The bathroom is shared with the other businesses in the building and was fine. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.“

“Super yummy hummus plates, falafel, kebabs and salads. Found this gem while on a walk in China town. Not easy to find, but once you know where to find it you will come back again and again. Sooooo good.“

“What a great mashup of Mexican and Italian flavors. We went on a very busy night but the staff was still highly attentive and the food was amazing. Try the aranici appetizers or the fresh bruschetta. For dinner the birria lasagna was so good and unique. Will visit here next time I am in downtown SF.“

“Perfect spot for a quick lunch. I first tried the food from Sajj in San Mateo. It was a "regular" lunch place for many at my office. Now that I occasionally work in SF, I was please to find a Sajj just a block away. Love that the food is fresh and bonus that it is full of flavor. I take advantage of ordering ahead and picking up on my schedule.“

“Food was delicious. Vibe was laid back. Acoustics (ability to hear my companion) were good, although the restaurant wasn't completely full at the time. I ordered the shaksuka, which tasted great, but I didn't feel full afterwards. My friend ordered a brunch plate with eggs, lamb, salad, and potatoes and it was quite ample and delicious. I think I'll get that the next time I go there. This was my first time to this venue, and I definitely want to go back.“

“It was our first time and the service was amazing. Our dinner was more than excellent, the grilled pork chops with sweet potato puree best ever tasted. Great selection in red wine and great atmosphere! Owners were there and were very welcoming and down to earth! 100% recommended“

“We ordered the house combo and it was very tasty. It came with 4 meats(chicken, beef, gyro ,koftedes). All of the meat was juicy, tender and well seasoned. The rice. was fluffy ans delicious. The mixed green salad had tomatoes amd cucumber and was topped with a pickled cabbage and dressed to perfection. I only had a small bite of the pita because rhe meal was so filling. I can't wait to try the baklava we ordered. What a great find. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant.“

“The fries are crispy and well fried. The shawarmas are 85% meat. The meat has been cooked perfectly, and is both juicy and greasy, which pair well with the smokiness of the burnt pieces of the heated wrap.
my go to place for beer and shawarma“

“My wife and I have been to Greece and love the food. Milos Meze took us back! We had the Spanakopita and Lamb Riblets to start and shared the Sea Bass. All was prepared perfectly! Took the Baklava home to enjoy later and it was delicious. The vibe was lively and all the folks were so friendly. We met Ali the owner and could see why every table was filled with happy customers. I highly recommend and will definitely be back!“

“I smelled it before I got there no always looking for “the right food cooked by the right people!” I had a bowl with chicken which I could cut with a the plastic spoon 😍 with rice and lentils very flavorful too with the Israel salad all that flavor in one bowl was the best by far! My friend who’s vegan was very satisfied had a falafel bowl which she started eating as we walked down the street! She had smashed it by the time we made to the tables at Union Square. The food delicious the portions huge and the price right! On another note when we arrived they were out of rice and of course they made me some fresh very much appreciated ❤️“

“This place will forever be my favorite FiDi eatery. Everything is delicious and I've literally never had a bad meal here. It's consistently great every time. It's really tough for them because the neighborhood has changed so much since COVID and I'm sure it's a struggle because of the significantly reduced foot traffic, but they're always super friendly and service is fast. Don't ever change, Ayola!“

“My go-to wine bar with a full menu that’s diverse, delicious (Mediterranean and so fresh), and very fairly priced. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about all the wines they offer. In particular, Tim, the head sommelier is a pleasure to talk to and has taught me so much about wine over my many visits. It’s rare to find spots like this where the service, food, and drinks are all aligned in value and quality. One of my staple recommendations to anyone visiting SF (try the filet kabobs and grilled halloumi!)“

“Cheap, simple and filling. Way cheaper than oasis grill. A lamb/beef shawarma is standard and the meat tastes good, priced about 12 bucks. (oasis is around 21 bucks) Good serving size too. The lamb/beef is halal thankfully, heads up the chicken is not halal. Overall I like this since it's convenient, quick, saving. Staff is extremely friendly. Go to in the neighborhood. Will be visiting more often.“

“Loved the food, cocktails, and service, but the restaurant was very loud. They had a live band, which sounded ok, but was too loud for a dinning experience. My suggestion is to have the band start after 9pm. Otherwise, we enjoyed our night.“

“THE ABSOLUTE BEST. I ordered from them mostly on DD (about 7x) and the consistency, cleanliness, and flavor are 10/10. We just stopped by this branch in Marin and now I love them more. Super sweet staff and amazing food. One of my favorite places. You have taste and respect your business. Ps I am Lebanese and we love our Greek neighbors.“

“Total hidden gem in SF. It’s low key and does take out only, but don’t let that fool you, this place rivals SF’s finest establishments. I moved in a few blocks down the street and have been ordering take out almost every day as I unpack. I’ve tried the chicken hummus plate, meatball and rice plate, and the Beyran Soup. Literally each dish was 5/5 amazing. The soup was the best soup I’ve ever had in my life. Super rich flavor, but not overly salty. Just right. Honestly these folks should turn into a full fledged restaurant.“

“I recently had the pleasure of trying the falafel at Nick the Greek, and it was nothing short of amazing! From the first bite, I was blown away by the perfect blend of spices and the crispy texture on the outside, while remaining soft and flavorful inside. The freshness of the ingredients really stood out, making it clear that they prioritize quality.
The falafel was served with a delicious tahini sauce that complemented the dish beautifully, adding a creamy richness that elevated the entire experience. I also appreciated the generous portion size—definitely a great value for the price!
The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. If you're a fan of Mediterranean cuisine or just looking to try some fantastic falafel, I highly recommend Nick the Greek. I can't wait to come back and enjoy it again!“

“Came here since it was so close to where I live and got recommended the beef and lamb gyro!
Good:
- The beef and lamb gyro was great indeed - perfect portion size, had a ton of stuff inside it and the texture was crunchy and savory
- I liked how quick the service was, and it was easy to find seating inside
Bad:
- The music was super loud here and it was more casual of a place
Overall this was a quick pit stop and would come again for a gyro craving“

“My fiancée and I adore this place. We visit wine country half a dozen times a year and always make a point to stop here. Everything is super fresh and delicious. A side salad with your choice of meat is more than enough. Grab a bottle of the crazy good rose and an extra dipping sauce for the Greek fries and you’ll be set.“
