The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk through the door. “I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. I consider myself a foodie, and try as many different restaurants and cuisines as I can. And yet, Playa Provisions remains my favorite restaurant in LA (and that's saying something, considering the amazing places in LA). Run, don't walk, to Playa Provisions. You'll thank me.“

“It was such a lovely venture out for my Mom’s birthday, on Friday. Alex and Dominique (management) are quite lovely, and helped make our dining experience all the more, a joy! Love the new additions to the menu, particularly the Mini Steak French Dips. The Chicken Parmesan was excellent with the twist of those ‘pepper-like sweet’ tomatoes. If there is ever something you want to bring back to the menu I would highly suggest the sliders, they were missed for sure lol! Looking forward to dining again here, soon. Cheers! ✨💖🥂“

“Love & Salt is an excellent dinner spot for something a bit more upscale.

They have a pretty substantial menu, with a lot of great options. They even have some really delicious mocktails.

Make sure not to miss the meatballs for an appetizer. They were probably the best dish of the night. That said, you can't really go wrong with anything you order.

I only really had two very minor complaints. Their pasta was a little more al dente than I tend to go for, but that didn't ruin the dishes by any means. The other thing was that the mocktails didn't come with anything to stir them with. Even a straw would have been helpful.

All things considered, you really should check out Love & Salt if you are in the LA area. Well worth it.“

Exquisitely prepared meals, delicious and inventive taste combinations, remarkable service, and fantastic atmosphere. Each course was plattered brilliantly with exotic and enticing tableware (one course used a shined mussel shell as the spoon!). Excellent wine and juice pairings completed this perfect evening.
