“A delicious made from scratch falafel in a great sandwich. Friendly staff. Since my first review I have returned and tried their Chicken and Cheese sandwich. Even better then the falafel sandwich! It is a chicken salad sandwich with lots of yummy chicken salad and Swiss cheese. I had their regular French fries 🍟 Very tasty. Again the staff was very friendly and helpful. “MY Best friend went to get himself a turkey sandwich. And two ham sandwich for my daughter and I. He told me all 3 worker's treated him really kind especially the older guy. He said the older gentleman told him to sit down while he prepared his meal and gave him coffee. He said the staff was very kind. Their sandwiches are very good. The best we ever had. “As a mom of a soon-to-be four-year-old with severe dairy, egg, and tree nut allergies (which cause anaphylaxis), finding quality vegan bakery items has been incredibly challenging. We’ve tried vegan offerings from bakeries all over San Diego, Orange County, and LA, but none have come close to the quality of this bakery.

Although they aren’t an entirely vegan bakery, they offer vegan options such as cookies and cakes — and they are truly the best we’ve ever had. The staff is extremely helpful and genuinely wants to make sure you get exactly what you need, which makes the experience even better. This year marks the third year I’m ordering my daughter’s birthday cake from them, and I plan to continue coming back year after year — and even in between birthdays — for their vegan treats.

Usually, when you buy a vegan item from a bakery, you can immediately tell it’s vegan — the taste or texture tends to be just slightly off. I always appreciate when bakeries make the effort to offer vegan options, but it’s something special when a bakery can create vegan desserts that taste just as good as traditional ones. The first time we tried their vegan cake, my husband was convinced I must have ordered a regular cake by mistake because it tasted so good!

You can tell this bakery uses extremely high-quality ingredients and makes everything from scratch. In fact, there have been times when I’ve paid more at other bakeries for vegan cakes that didn’t even come close to the quality this bakery provides.

If you’re looking for a vegan cake, cupcake, or cookie — whether it’s for a birthday, a holiday, or just a get-together — this is absolutely the place to go. Even if you don’t have food allergies and are vegan by choice (or even if you’re not vegan at all), I highly recommend trying their vegan offerings. They are truly outstanding.

Dietary restrictions: If you are GF, DO NOT EAT THE FRIES!! I can eat the sausage mc muffin with egg, no bread, and you can also order the quarter pounder patty with cheese and pickles and catchup for under $2. With Celiac, I have never had a reaction to these items- but, everyone is different. If you're in a pinches, these would be your best bet and not bad on your wallet.“

“Had lunch here while visiting from San Diego for the day. Had the chicken pesto panini, butternut squash soup, along with a latte and americano. Everything was so good. Perfect amount of pesto on the sandwich (most restaurants skimp on the pesto) and soup was seasoned so well. Got a chocolate chip cookie and snickerdoodle cookie to-go and they tasted delicious. Service was great and I appreciated that the staff making sure we had the plates and utensils we needed when they brought our food and drinks to the table. “Amazing coffee and espresso from Columbia. Shop is minimalist and bright. Visiting from out of town, I tried their latte campesino (delicious but I prefer less sweet lattes so I will ask for half syrup next time) and cappuccino. Came back a couple days later for a second visit on the same trip and will make it a point to come back in the future.

“I got a coffee to take away from Pure Bean. I ordered the Lavender Honey Latte with oat milk and it was absolutely delicious. The staff was so friendly and answered my questions to help me choose the perfect drink. There were a lot of people inside the coffee shop and it would be a great place to bring my laptop and work from. It's quite bright inside with a lot of natural light and plants.
